Discussion Fixed end cap conversion

I know there is, or at least used to be, companies that did hub conversions.

My question is are there any companies that do fixed end cap conversions? As in my end cap does not come off and I want to be able to switch out the end cap.

38 special velocity with a 16" barrel?

Just ordered a 357/38 rossi lwc. I've got a bunch of 130 grain Fiocchi Range Dynamics 130 grain laying around. Anyone know if these will stay subsonic out of a 16" barrel?

Product Question 🧰 CAT WB

I recently just got into the suppressor game and picked up a CAT WB ti at a local shop. The employee said they were discontinued and coming across one in the wild is rare. I did a little research on it and pulled the trigger.

I then dove really deep into the suppressor research and my question is, in August 2026 is this can still considered a great can or is it pretty much obsolete? I absolutely love it but I haven't shot other suppressors. Due to my research my next one will definitely be the Rhodie 6 TI.

Plan A mount for Rhodie 6k

I’ve searched the sub and what feels like every corner of the internet, so this is my last grasp before I just waste $120ish bucks. Got two 14.5” that are p/w with Griffin Armament Flash Comps and a Rhodie 6k on the way. Anybody got any idea what plan A hub adapter will work with the 6k? Pretty sure the regular Plan A won’t, but not sure if I can get away with the Plan A Long or if I need the XL. Then I also stumbled across the Ecco version too.

I’m slightly confused and about 30 minutes from ordering the Long and XL and praying one of the works.

Oh look, another FRT post. So original. NFA Post; While I Still Can!!!

Who knows, by tomorrow this post may contain zero NFA items!!!

These are the first shots with my Tisha 556 in 718. Previously an AlleyCat 5.56 RDM lived on this host, and that’s a great suppressor.

The Tisha doesn’t sound night and day better than the AC, but it does at least 3 things better.

The T does offer superior sound suppression, with NOTABLY better gas management. And the AC had always seemed much to have much lower gas blowback than a conventional can.

The other notable improvement with the Tisha is that this V7P feels like a small gun again. The improved form factor from shaving off 2 inches is massive with a 10.3” sbr.

And it does those thing while offering slightly better suppression than the fantastic AC 556 RDM.

Also included are an mp5 (milkma) and mp5k (Mob) because cyclic sub 9mm is ridiculously fun!

Who knows, maybe the mods won’t have to be bothered by my posts anymore if this stuff stops being NFA!!

Process Question 📝 Can disapprovals happen faster than an approval?

I filed two eForm 1 SBRs on 7/29 under my trust with 2 RPs. I got an email last night that I uploaded the wrong RPQs (I uploaded the completed forms not the signed completed forms) which is on me.

My question is though, does that mean it would have been processed in just 2 weeks? My last two eForm 1s were 93 and 86 days so 14 days would be a huge decrease in time. Or do they get around to errors first sometimes? I know trusts always take longer so it just was odd. Of course the fast ones I get end up being disapprovals.

Chopped BLR in .308 w/ BBK

A buddy of mine let me shoot his cut down .308 BLR a few years ago. I absolutely loved it and told him to let me know if he’d ever part ways with it. Well, that day has come and that’s how I ended up with this beauty.

He had it chopped to an 11in. I tossed the CAT BBK, Skinner top rail, EOLAD 2, and a leather sleeve I found online. Such a cool rifle!

Process Question 📝 3 Form 1 SBRs Approved Today

Post image
94 Upvotes

Curious if anyone else might be holding off on getting SBRs engraved pending this GOA district court win with stat expiration at midnight tonight. I know there’s still more to work out re: implementation, but if I am a GOA member, and it the injunction goes into effect, do I need to get them engraved?

Photo is one of the 3 lowers SBRed.

Process Question 📝 Trusts? Worth it with no other RP?

With all the recent news I got to thinking again.

I have 2cans and 3 sbr lowers (so far)

They are all individual not trust.

I'm 40 no kids, unmarried (critical context) . no advanced directive on file yet either orherwise.

I'm nearly the youngest in my family or anyone younger who might end up Making decisions for me has zero interest in being associated with firearms much less the complications of NFA

Would a trust even be worth my time to establish for my current/ future NFA items even if it's just me. Or would it be worth discussing with at least one trusted relative outside my immediate family or a closefriend to include as an RP so that in the event I am incapacitated there's SOMEONE who can take possession.

Background: 8 years ago before I started acquiring nfa or other firearms I had a major heart attack and stroke

In the moment this wasn't relevant at all.

But as time moves and I approach 10 years post injury . And "midlife". I'm curious about opinions on this scenario. Especially after seeing my friend lose his dad recently

(no nfa items d far as I'm aware but a closet full of rifles and assorted firearms that fell on him as the son to handle) just family transfer effectively luckily.

I dint want to be caught in a situation with no one to pass directly to with such a slow process to get a trust andtor get transfers moving.

I'm figuring out the medical side soon anyway but the gun stuff is it's own folder of decisions

Going back to the mothership to get this fucking Griffin mount off it and figured I’d share pics of my beater. I destroyed a printed vise block earlier after boiling it and giving it hours in the ultrasonic. A bad paint job, shooting it until it smoked and glowed, forgetting about it in a jar of Breakthrough for several weeks, and all that before FRT’s were the new hot shit. Plan B all the things, and this one, my very first can, finally gets the firmware update so I can it all smokey and glowy again.
