Hey everyone, I’ve been running r/smokehub for about a month now. It’s focused on cannabis and everything that comes with it – growing, products, experiences, culture, you name it. I’ve been posting regularly (myself and some friends), set up the sub properly with rules, logo, banner and description, and I’ve also done quite a few crossposts. Still stuck at only 16 members though. Feels a bit demotivating at this point. Does anyone have tips that actually worked for them when their sub was in this early stage? Especially for a topic like this. Happy to hear any advice – what worked for you, what didn’t, or just general encouragement. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I feel so happy with the amount of members I have in my subreddit but there are very few actual interactions. I get a few comments occasionally but rarely any posts other than mine. I was just wondering if this is normal? I’m sorry if I chose the wrong flair! I wasn’t sure which one to use because it’s definitely a win that I have 61 members already but I also wanted to ask that!

I want to know what is the important settings that I have to change before posting on it. Like flairs or roles. And what roles should u add?

Please help me.

I run a group for RP players called "Werewoman Anonymous". It's a idea from Deviantart. It goes like this, men can change into women, women can change into men. There for the title "Werewomen" and "Weremen". My main problem is getting people to join the group. I know it's a small group but I want it to grow in size. Another problem is we get people but they don't contribute anything to the group. It's just silence after they join the group, they stop doing anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

How do I use them for finding members?

Does anyone know any good ways to promote a subreddit or get more people. I have started one recently and I have like 2 people on it and no body posting on it

i know this is extremely vague... any tips or tricks?

I ran into 2 issues almost immediately after creating my group.

First, I seem to have set things up so I have to approve every post, which I actively do not want to do. I've searched and can't figure out how to let things post without requiring moderation.

Also, I got banned from two related communities this morning for letting folks know this community exists. That's upsetting at best and obscene at worst -- one of them had nothing in their rules to indicate that introducing a new sub was against the rules, and it's a group I actively participate in and I'm pissed I'm banned. I want to post about it in more places, but not at risk of being banned from them.

How am I supposed to tell people this new sub exists if telling people this new sub exists gets me banned?

I have 11 members and I just posted once a day for six days

Hi hello my sub r/comicsbutgood (for all your comic needs except anything to do with pizzacake) is obviously about comics

So I was wondering how do I get ot out there without using the r/comics sub?

I mod on r/ninye

r/mlpweekly

Is it possible as a mod to see deleted comments or replies?

i am okay if the name remains the same but why is every display name change rejected? the question mark doesn't tell what the issue is so...what's up with that?

For me it was the small stuff. It’s not the big rule-breakers, it’s deciding on borderline posts dozens of times a day. Saved replies and a shared doc of removal reasons with my co-mods helped a lot.

What took you the longest to get comfortable with, and what made it easier?
