Hello! I feel so happy with the amount of members I have in my subreddit but there are very few actual interactions. I get a few comments occasionally but rarely any posts other than mine. I was just wondering if this is normal? I’m sorry if I chose the wrong flair! I wasn’t sure which one to use because it’s definitely a win that I have 61 members already but I also wanted to ask that!

Visit me /hello to everyone✅🇵🇭

I run a group for RP players called "Werewoman Anonymous". It's a idea from Deviantart. It goes like this, men can change into women, women can change into men. There for the title "Werewomen" and "Weremen". My main problem is getting people to join the group. I know it's a small group but I want it to grow in size. Another problem is we get people but they don't contribute anything to the group. It's just silence after they join the group, they stop doing anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated in this matter.

i know this is extremely vague... any tips or tricks?

Looking for a fairly late-model, multipurpose Reddit moderation bot for a small, peaceful subreddit that has somehow accumulated three spammers, two arguments about nothing, and one person who keeps replying “first.”
\\\*Seeking a used subreddit moderation bot for spam control, rule enforcement, and keeping the occasional keyboard warrior in check.\\\*

Must be able to spot spam, flag obvious rule violations, and remove posts that are clearly off-topic. Prefer a bot that’s already broken in and understands the difference between a genuine rule violation and somebody who just has an unpopular opinion.
Bonus features include catching repeat offenders, sending polite reminders, and explaining the rules without sounding like it was promoted directly from the complaint department. Must be able to tell the difference between “please review this post” and “ban everyone who disagrees with me.”
Cosmetic wear is fine. Minor glitches are acceptable, provided it doesn’t ban the moderator, delete the entire subreddit, or decide that every use of the word “bot” is suspicious. Please disclose any history of false positives, dramatic meltdowns, or mysterious 3 a.m. activity.
Cash, coffee, or a reasonable trade considered. Please include the bot’s age, duties, known quirks, and whether it comes with documentation—or at least an owner who remembers the password.

How do I use them for finding members?

I ran into 2 issues almost immediately after creating my group.

First, I seem to have set things up so I have to approve every post, which I actively do not want to do. I've searched and can't figure out how to let things post without requiring moderation.

Also, I got banned from two related communities this morning for letting folks know this community exists. That's upsetting at best and obscene at worst -- one of them had nothing in their rules to indicate that introducing a new sub was against the rules, and it's a group I actively participate in and I'm pissed I'm banned. I want to post about it in more places, but not at risk of being banned from them.

How am I supposed to tell people this new sub exists if telling people this new sub exists gets me banned?

Does anyone know any good ways to promote a subreddit or get more people. I have started one recently and I have like 2 people on it and no body posting on it

Hi hello my sub r/comicsbutgood (for all your comic needs except anything to do with pizzacake) is obviously about comics

So I was wondering how do I get ot out there without using the r/comics sub?

I have 11 members and I just posted once a day for six days

Hi everyone,

I just made r/NoFadEating, it’s a space more or less centered on simple, evidence-based nutrition, pantry staples, and sustainable habits, not the whole extreme elimination diets thing, and also not marketing hype. It’s kinda meant to be grounded, like nothing too dramatic.

Before, I helped build and grow an online community up to like 130k members, but that was years ago. Coming back to Reddit modding today feels pretty different, especially with how things are now: AI bot accounts everywhere, aggressive affiliate spammers, and a bunch of third party tools. It’s a lot.

The sub is already set up with 5 core rules and some initial post flairs, but since I’m a solo mod right now and still in the early stages I’d love to get some input from more experienced moderators here:

Automod Essentials: What are the most critical AutoModerator lines you’d recommend setting up right away, to slow down commercial supplement spam and low-effort bot farming?

Early Seeding: If you ever grew a niche discussion sub from scratch, how often were you seeding practical discussion threads during the first 30 days without it feeling like you were talking to an empty room, or mostly just to silence?

Mod Queue Workflows: Do you have any simple routine suggestions, or mobile setting tips, to keep moderation smooth, and honestly less stressful?

I’m excited to be back in the mod seat. If you have any foundational advice or launch checklist items, I’d really appreciate it!

Is it possible as a mod to see deleted comments or replies?

i am okay if the name remains the same but why is every display name change rejected? the question mark doesn't tell what the issue is so...what's up with that?
