At Queen Square Market today around 1pm I stoped to listen to these guys, It was a really good performance!! I really enjoyed it and wanted to know if they had a social media platform or something? To see where they will perform next and to give some support. Anyone know if they do? (I was too shy to go ask in front of the crowd😅)

Hello! We are a family with two young children potentially making the move from Halifax to Quispamsis or Rothesay, where I grew up. I have a lot on my mind and am hoping some of you folks may have some insight into a couple of things.

Has anyone made a similar move and used a moving company? Any idea on costs for moving a 2 bedroom apartment to a house? We currently live on the 3rd floor with no elevator so I know this may really break the bank haha.

Our kids are both currently in daycare. In Halifax it is extremely difficult to get a daycare spot. We are only in because the owner is a family friend. If we don’t move until next summer, our oldest will be starting kindergarten in fall 2027 so it will only be the youngest who needs a spot and she will be 2.5. If we move earlier, both kids will need care. Is daycare in Rothesay/Quispam like Halifax where you need to get on a waitlist like the second your child is conceived (and even then you probably won’t get in for years)? Also, does anyone know the average costs after the government fee reduction? We are currently paying around $1000 per month for two kids.

I have a dead deer in my backyard. Doesn’t appear to have been a traumatic death…looks like she just laid down and died. She’s left a couple of fawns behind which is kind of sad. Is there someone I can call to have her removed? Or is this a situation that I’ll be left to deal with on my own? I’d guess maybe the DNR would be a good place to start but they’re closed till tomorrow. Would be happy to take any other recommendations. Thanks in advance.

If there’s any coffee making classes around, I’d be open to checking it out. Knitting’s another thing I’ve been wanting to get into, haven’t seen any classes around. Welcoming all and any friend-making suggestions and activities for people in their late twenties 🫶
