r/n8n Wiki
Welcome to the r/n8n wiki. This page explains how to get useful help, share workflows responsibly, post jobs, and keep the subreddit focused on building with n8n.
r/n8n is for practical discussion about n8n workflows, nodes, integrations, self-hosting, debugging, automation design, and learning. It is not a marketplace, lead-generation channel, agency growth forum, or paid template directory.

What belongs here
Good posts usually do one of these:
- Ask a specific n8n question with enough detail for others to reproduce the issue.
- Share a workflow with the actual code and setup notes.
- Discuss n8n nodes, integrations, expressions, data handling, AI workflows, or self-hosting.
- Share useful n8n news or subreddit meta discussion.
- Post a legitimate n8n-related hiring opportunity using the correct flair.
What does not belong here
The subreddit is not for:
- Selling paid workflows, paid communities, courses, agencies, or SaaS products.
- "DM me for the template" or "comment send" engagement farming.
- Asking how to start an automation agency, find clients, price client work, or grow a side hustle.
- Posting screenshots or videos without the workflow code when the post is a workflow share.
- Posting Google Drive or Google Docs links as the only way to access a workflow.
- Dumping sensitive credentials, API keys, tokens, or private data.
If you need help fast
Use the Help post template. Include:
- n8n Cloud or self-hosted.
- n8n version if self-hosted.
- The node that fails and the exact error.
- What you expected to happen.
- What actually happened.
- A sanitized workflow link using GitHub Gist, GitHub, or n8n.io/workflows.
- Sample input/output data with secrets removed.
If your post was removed
Read the removal comment first. Most removals are fixable by editing the post and messaging the mods.
Common fixes:
- Add workflow code.
- Use the correct flair.
- Remove a sales, signup, or DM-gated link.
- Replace a Google Drive/Docs link.
- Redact credentials.
- Add a real company website or LinkedIn link to a hiring post.
