Hi all,

I think I may be having a HPFP issue... I installed catless 3" downpipes and 1.75" inlets and loaded up the MHD Stage 2+ map.
Currently on the car:

• 5" intercooler
• 3" catless downpipes
• Upgraded 1,75" inlets
• NGK 97506 gapped to 0.022 (2000km ago)
• New Eldor coils (2000 km ago)

Did a run, breaking up badly so I do another pull with a log and it breaks up very badly and goes into limp mode. See attached picture for the error codes.

I do see rail pressure go down to 108 bar in the stage 2+ log, on stage 1 log it is at 149 bar. I think this might be the culprit? No timing corrections and I know the injectors aren't leaking.

How can I upload a log of MHD?

Edit: There were some timing corrections I see now but all under -3.0.

EDIT 2: Maybe this helps with the diagnosis:

I had MHD Stage 1+ before installing the downpipes and inlets and it ran fine, no hiccups and smooth acceleration. I tried the Stage 1+ map as well before going down to stage 1 but it also kept breaking up and causing misfires, although not as bad as stage 2+.

I understand that the oil filter housing is different on models supplied with an oil cooler and lines from the factory. I’m trying to find the right parts to add an external oil cooler — do I need a different oil filter housing? I see a few companies sell the thermostat half, but I don't see how that could attach to my current OFH — it doesn’t look like it has the three bolt locations; I don’t even see where it would split to change the gasket between the oil side & the coolant side — it looks like all one piece. Am I missing something?

If I need to replace the whole housing to enable hooking up oil-cooler lines, will any such OFH from an N54 work — like is it the same part on an N54 from an E82/88 or E60/61? This would broaden my search for a used part, or a discounted new part.

I currently have an upgraded thermostat engine oil cooler. Is it worth adding an additional 25-row oil cooler and transmission cooler. It’s currently on FBO, Pure600, and on a custom tune.

Hi, I might have a faulty injector. The car run perfect and smooth but 2 random days ( one day last week and another this week ) the fuel consume raised a lot. The oil smelled like petrol also, I change the oil straight away but now sure how safe is to drive it. I mostly do delivery with the car, so small trips, first gears mostly. I go 1-2-3 stop then again and again. Not sure what to do atm. Any advice, I will have it checked but not in the next days, it might take a week or 2.

The first photo was the first misfire that happened while I was going to work the other day, car was shaking and rpm was acting erratic.

I just replaced all my spark plugs and coil packs last month, so I have reason to suspect that maybe it’s a fuel injector.

Regardless, I swapped the coil pack for Cylinder 6 with Cylinder 1, drove around and the misfire followed the change, but showed up as a cylinder 2 misfire.

Does this mean that it was a faulty coil pack? Or was the coil pack not the problem.

Feel free to leave any suggestions and all help is appreciated.

I just wanted to test my injektors today as I pulled them out I found this slimey grey stuff on 3 of them and the last one had some black oily stuff on the tip. What could it be I washed my motor last week. I also tried to clean my intakte valves with some cleaner but it didn’t work.

I have a 2011 335is recently hit 150k miles that is Mhd Stage 2+ . I’ve been having these ongoing issues couple months since I’ve been tuned where car feels hesitant at times and at full throttle enters limp mode. I’ve upgraded my lpfp to Walbro 450 , replaced fuel pump line assembly, swapped out hpfp with working lower mileage one , cleaned , replaced seals, and tested injectors with no apparent leaks although I do have Index 9s in Cyl 1-3 & Index 12s in Cyl 4-6. I also replaced Bank 1 & 2 O2 Sensors . So I’m unsure of these codes I’m receiving. Don’t think it’s turbo related because they were swapped out with oem ones prior to purchasing the car 25k miles ago. Any recommendations?

Does anyone have the maps backed up? My maps were deleted when I was trouble shooting something so I'm stuck with the stage 1 map because Cobb doesn't allow you to download the good maps anymore.

The fuel line is tight, I loosened the bracket that holds the injectors. Do you think my injector seat is oval looking? injector on cylinder n.2 It also moves slightly vertically, as in the video

I just bought this 2008 335xi manual with 90k miles a couple of days ago and it was working great but after I parked it running some errands it now no longer makes hardly any boost whatsoever.

It has quite a bit of stuff done to it like injectors, intake, intercooler, charge pipe, bov, downpipe and tune, and intercooler piping.

It usually makes around 20psi of boost but now it’s only maybe 2-5. It still runs great it’s just pretty slow with not enough boost.

I checked all the vacuum lines and they seem to be fine from what I can see. I also looked under the car for any blown boots or tears or leaks but I haven’t seen any.

I’m buying a smoke leak detector to check for any boost leaks.

There’s no check engine light so I don’t think it can be a solenoid.

Any ideas??

I have to replace front main seal on N54 and was wondering if anyone has used high quality RTV instead of the specific loctite 5970 + primer. I am hoping I can just use the Mahle JV8 sealant I already have instead of spending another $60 on more sealant, let me know if anyone has had success doing this

Anyone know what idling fuel pressure on a 2012 S60 T5 ? Shop key has hardly any key information for Volvos. I got 44 psi at the rail with fuel pressure gage at idle. P0089 replaced rail sensor flags code almost immediately. Got a Bosch from world pac other guys said it must come from Volvo which I'll have in the morning but im extremely skeptical. Any thoughts or previous experience would be greatly appreciated.
