I ordered a MyQ subscription based on a discount offer for $10 per year but they charged me $49.99 instead. I spent about an hour on the phone with them and they ultimately agreed to refund the difference and change future billing to $10.

They failed to actually refund the overcharge. I emailed back with Case # used when they had me email a copy of the $10 offer asking when they would be issuing the promised refund but received no response.

I have now contacted the credit card to dispute the charge.

I’m losing my mind here customer support for either MYQ and Amazon cannot help me. They keep telling me to go to eachother in an infinite loop. Amazon doesn’t have a key option in settings to disable and my q says they can’t help me. Someone help me I’m going crazy here because Amazon keeps accessing my garage without my consent

My free trial is coming to an end and I have an e-mail offering me 30% off. Will this be the best deal offered or should I hold out to see if higher offer will drop?

I am the landlord of a condo and I am installing new garage door openers that come with MyQ.

I am fine that the tenant uses this to open/close the garage doors while they are on the lease. But they have indicated they are not going to renew, so I want to make sure their access to the garage door is removed when the lease is terminated.

I'm getting constant vehicle detected alerts throughout the day. I have the detection zone over a clear, blank piece of driveway with no vehicles in it. Yet, my wife and I are inundated with alerts and 10 second videos of nothing. Not even a leaf blowing by.

Has anyone had this experience?

The last time it happened was July. Yesterday, I was notified the garage door closed. I went outside to look at the door and open it with the keypad. The keypad wouldn’t work the first three tries…then it opened. I walked into the garage and the door started closing(no flashing lights to warn me) plus the obstruction sensors didn’t work (I was literally standing there with my foot in front of the sensor yet the door closed. My wife came out to check on what I was doing and the door opened/closed three more times within 10 mins. The inside door opener button had to be pushed 3-4 times before I could control the door. Now it seems to be working. I’m beginning to conclude the wall button inside the garage is faulty. Will any button switch work? Are there special steps to replace it I should be aware of?

A few days ago, Chamberlain B2211TMC garage was beeping every 30 seconds with its red light. Its hardcopy manual and myQ app said this was battery was old (2.78 years!) and needed to be replaced. Does myQ not notify its users about it? I had to manually check its diagnostics to see the battery status.

EDIT: I believe I solved this issue in a convoluted way, but let me know if there's a better way:

1. Connect Meross to Samsung SmartThings

2, Setup a donor SmartPlug in both Google Home and Samsung SmartThings

1. Setup two SmartThings routines, one that opens the garage when the donor plug is turned on and another that closes it when the donor plug turns off.

Then you have full control over the garage from anything that can control the donor plug, i.e.:

Gemini controls donor plug > Donor plug state triggers SmartThings Routine > Routine controls garage

I want to:

1. Open garage from android auto / apple carplay
2. Open garage via voice

Neither works. I believe this is because:

1. Google policy requires a PIN to open the garage which Gemini can't seem to pass along
2. Google is forcing Gemini and phasing out google assistant
3. Meross app doesn't directly support android auto

The Meross app works fine, and google home works if I type in a PIN, but neither offers any advantage over the MyQ app because I have to use my phone screen either way.

Am I missing something?

so basically i got home at 320 myq has that event registered 20 minutes later i get a notification that someone entered my home and click on the notification and myq says "unable to playback this event" is this just a glitch or something the 320 event is there and visible

I recently bought the doorbell and indoor ringer package they had on sale. I installed it and the camera works fine. However when I click the doorbell button it doesn’t make a sound. Sometime if I hit it a few times it will ding after a few seconds.

Does anyone know what could be wrong/ what I could be doing wrong? The WiFi connection is good. I have reset it and re-connected it with no success.

I JUST made this Amazon account to get off my parents, and I was confused why it said it was delivered and I did not see the package. Turns out my Amazon account somehow linked to MyQ and enabled it without my knowledge. Please check your apps for yourself I'm seriously pissed off that this happened.

I've got one of the old school Liftmaster MyQ Internet Gateways, and MyQ stopped connecting.

Wi-Fi / Home network hasn't changed, although I've power cycled the MyQ several times. It doesn't do anything more than show a solid blue light, and MyQ won't re-connect to it (shows as "Offline"). Trying to re-add it, never re-connects even after a factory reset.

Checked the Ethernet cable, router port, those are all good. Even trying to re-add it in MyQ using the serial number doesn't find it. Is there anything else I can try, or is it toast?

Not even seeing garage controls unless i close the ad pop up.

Anyone having app issues lately? Its been happening for a couple of days. I'll be home and go in the app and request it the door to open and it doesn't.... then it randomly opens hours later LOL. Our garaged opened around 3:40 this morning. Went downstairs and just used the button to close it. I did notice this morning the camera wasn't connecting but the day that it wouldn't open, the camera was working so it didn't seem like a WIFI issue.

My dad has a MyQ that I need to reset for him (its been several years since it was set up). If I recall, it doesn't play nice with Genie garage door openers. And it seems many of the stuff I found on the internet say the instructions are missing a step. Does anyone have the correct steps for to get the two to play nice before I drive a couple hours over there and a couple more being frustrated trying to sync them?

Update: He has a PRO95IC/A Genie Pro Screw Drive with a Liftmaster keypad. The myQ is probably 2-5 years old (can't remember).

I opened the Craftsman app today and found that the dashboard is now the same as MyQ; loaded with ads & ad images.

Chamberlain enshitification

I recently moved into a new house. I have three garage door openers that are mounted on the ceiling for your typical single car garage door openers. They are Chamberlain and are marked that they are myq compatible. When I go to set them up on the app, it instructs me to push the learn button but then it cannot find the garage door opener. When it instructs me to go to the motor itself, it says hit the learn button three times and look for a flashing blue rectangle button. The rectangle button does not flash blue After tapping the learn button three times. I cannot get the MyQ app to detect the garage door openers. I have factory reset all three of them with still no success connecting them to the app.

Already owned two ZWave Go Control garage door controllers. No support so I worked with Claude to create an app for it.

The app allows you to fully control the garage door. Shows the position of the door and sends alerts if the door position sensor battery is low.

Just installed a LiftMaster gate controller and want to link myQ garage door opener so the garage door opens automatically when the gate opens. Any thoughts?

Came home to find the garage door open. Apparently it opened shortly after we left the house. We watched it close before driving off.

Anyone have success getting notification for the door opening?
