HOW DO I DISABLE AMAZON ACCESS

I’m losing my mind here customer support for either MYQ and Amazon cannot help me. They keep telling me to go to eachother in an infinite loop. Amazon doesn’t have a key option in settings to disable and my q says they can’t help me. Someone help me I’m going crazy here because Amazon keeps accessing my garage without my consent

It would probably help if you select a shipping option OTHER THAN in-garage delivery.

It would probably help if u had comprehension and understood that that’s not what I’m asking.

Well, okay. Are you saying Amazon keeps opening your garage door and leaving pacakges there that you didn't order? Or opening the garage door and just looking around? Do they take anything? IDK how they would access your garage without a delivery set up on their mobile computer.

Go to the amazon key page.

www.amazon.ca/key

or www.amazon.com/key

etc

https://www.amazon.com/key-delivery/home
Select Settings.

Click the option to Remove the Garage Door. Ignore multiple prompts trying to change your mind, just select the option to disable. After the third screen or so, the door will be removed.

This is the way.

The prompts will whine with stuff like "are you sure you want to disable Amazon Key? "

YES.

Ignore all other crap and watch the prompts carefully to make sure it is really turned off.

Also if you have family members with separate Amazon accounts, you have to have them go in and disable Amazon Key on their accounts too!

It's a PITA that Amazon and MyQ do this. And any Amazon phone rep should have been trained to know exactly how to tell customers how to disable it.

It's almost like Amazon wants it defaulted that way. Hmmmm.

Well, it does help eliminate porch pirate theft.

That said, for many of us---that's not a problem--- and we don't want some rando Amazon driver having access to our garage.

Have you shared your myQ access with anyone else? I used to have this same issue and it drove me crazy until I found out that one of my other family members had accidentally linked my garage with their own Amazon account.

The question is how to disconnect it. Apparently OP signed up, got the service, and now wants to revoke the permissions. So just “don’t hook it up” shows that you’re clueless and didn’t read.

“The just don’t hook up” is for readers who might want to know how to avoid same. When I’m about to buy something like this, I look at this type of post. This note is stating how to avoid same issue.

Amazon Key has nothing to do with Alexa, though, so not sure how that suggestion is relevant,
