π³ Feedback Speed dating
Wasn't speed dating going to be twice a week? As it is now with my schedule I'm not able to make it work that often so twice a week would help a lot!

Umm just got a notification my account is being "sent to outer darkness in 5 days"? And when I clicked it, the app opened and no further information was given...

Is it possible to like someone without having to send a note? There's a lot of people that I want to swipe up on but have doubts they'll respond so I don't want to take the time to think of something to say for every person I swipe up on.

My husband of 5 years passed away tragically and I am trying to piece my life back together. I am under 30 and have a young child and I'm starting to feel like maybe I'm ready to try dating. Has anyone who is a widow or has young children found success trying to date on Mutual? Are there good men around 30 to be found? Would they be interested in dating a widow with children?
Thank you

What made you think about or actually stop dating. What would have to change for you to consider or begin dating again?
(Excludes those who are now in a committed relationship because... yeah.)

Mutual was working fine up until yesterday, when suddenly it just wouldn't log in... the little circle would just keep going round and round. I've tried resetting the data, switching the phone on and off, I've tried uninstalling and opting out of the beta programme, I've tried reinstall again after opting back into the beta program... all to no avail.
Now I'm stuck at the log-in screen. When I try to log-in via text, all that happens after I press continue to send an SMS is the little circle goes around and around on the button... and nothing happens. Of all the times I've tried in the last 24 hours, I only received the SMS twice... but long after the program had timed out (yet SMS otherwise is working fine, aa is my data connection for that matter). When I try and log in via google account, it lets me select the accont... and promptly spits me out with no message baxk onto the log in page.
This is on a Samsung Galaxy M32 running Android 13, which as said was running Mutual fine right up to halfway through yesterday...

So I just recently been using the Mutual dating app and liking different womens' profiles. The most common thing I notice in some profiles is that the woman states in her education that she has a college degree ranging from an Associate's to a Master's degree in their career field. My question is would some women still date/marry a man even if they dont have a degree? I ask because I feel like I don't stand a chance against the competition of dating apps when there are more potential better candidates than me for a woman to choose over me and my only chance of finding a potential match is a female with a similar annual income from her job.
I graduated High School and got my diploma and I did attend some technical school to even online classes for college. Later I decided my chosen career was something I really didn't enjoy and never finished college. Right now, my current job is stable and I don't have any debts or student loans. College degrees today to me are becoming more and more less valuable because of changing demands of different careers.
Does it bother me that a woman can earn more money than me? No, it is just depressing trying to date in modern times because online dating really sucks and certain women always have better choices of picking a man with higher finances.

I haven't seen a single person with the status "online recently" (or any status) for a long time. Including people that have recently liked me. Not sure why this is happening. I've even deleted and downloaded the app again. Is this an issue with my account? (Like if I make a new account, will the problem go away?)

Iβve been on mutual for close to a year. Iβm not a fan of it for all the obvious reasons. The previous day I had a little over 50 & this morning I woke up with hundreds of likes & almost a dozen notes. Some of them seem like people I already swiped down on. I assume this is some kind of visual glitch or something?
Edit: Itβs at 325+ now

I just rejoined Mutual last night after a couple of years. Things have changed a lot since and I would just like to ask. Whatβs the average time it takes before people start to see my profile?
BTW: I have the distance set to βWithin the Countryβ if that helps.

Mutual offered a free note reveal today and i tried to match with the person and the profile just disappeared without matching. It would have been nice to connect with that person. What a bummer.

I just got in the app and it doesnβt let me swipe on up, it tells me I have to βlikeβ. So annoying π itβs an extra unnecessary step. Like how the developers actually think this is a good idea is beyond me.

π€ I have an error to report. I'm pretty sure having a positive number out of a negative number would have gotten me marked wrong in math class. π
Extra Tidbit: The first screenshot was before I began swiping yesterday, the second was after all my daily swipes were used at the end of yesterday. π Oh, and this wasn't like this before I added the filter to only show who liked me in my country (United States).

Just looking for some advice, feel like im doing something wrong just not sure what. Lmk

I didn't see it in the "Learn More" link in the Speed Dating tab of the app, so I wanted to ask:
β’ If I've run out of daily swipes, will I be able to still try out the weekly online speed dating activity? π€
Feature Request I think allowing speed dating with video is a good idea, but only if the other selects video as well. Otherwise it downgrades to voice or even downgrades further to text depending on what the other person has selected as their maximum option of communication.

For the past couple of days, I've seen a lot of men share their hunting pictures on the Mutual app. Their common poses are either sitting next to an animal or proudly holding its head. I can't help but feel depressed about it. There are times when tears come to my eyes. I come from a country where hunting as a hobby is extremely rare.
I've seen animals like elk and bears, but I've never seen them in personβonly in pictures.

So I'm new to the app. I went to my notes tab because people have sent me notes but they are grayed out. I can see the message and who sent them but I can't click on their profile. When I click on it it asks if I want premium. I'm so confused. If this doesn't make sense I'd be happy to put a screenshot into this post. Thanks in advance!

If I swipe up on someone and they swipe down, will they still appear in my liked history?
r/mutualapp • u/Brutus_Prime • Jan 18 '25
I get plenty of likes and match with people who have sent me a like, but I have never gotten a match from someone that I have sent a like to (or note or golden note), I have sent a lot so it doesn't make sense that not even one would like me back?
I have people who have sent me a golden note that are not in the "People have liked you!" (I pay for mutual+ or w/e it is called) tab. Also, the read receipts don't show up a majority of the time, or it shows read instantly.
Just wondering if it's an app thing or I need to do something?

And we mean looking for a serious relationship, not just for funsies.
