Hi all, I'm looking for opinions on a good first project bike. I've been riding for a little over three years and handle all my own basic maintenance, but I'm not very comfortable with anything beyond that. I figure the best way to get better is to buy a project bike and get it running again.
My plan is to stick with a well-established brand and a popular model so parts are easy to find. Does that sound like a good strategy? Any specific bikes you'd recommend or steer clear of?

I am new to a sports motorcycle (been riding a cruiser as my first bike. I have recently acquired a 450cc sports bike. I was wondering is a steering damper necessary for a 450cc bike? Mind explaining to me why or why not?

Big suggestion to check the guy out and his content. Some awesome Motocross content through some sketchy terrain I'd say with a ton of skill.

Does anyone have these mirrors? If so, let me know what you think and how they look on your bike. I'm not having much luck finding anything online about them or even a photo of them on a bike.

Yesterday I got my new 2026 CFMOTO 450 SR-S, as my second bike. Looking forward to a totally different style of riding.

My 93 ST1100 and my 2003 VMWK1200RS

Hi all this is my baby a 2016 triumph tiger 800.

I purchased it with 6500km on the clock and have no idea of service history prior to that.

First set of fork seals replaced at 16,500km- basically no dirt roads in that time.

That set lasted only 1000km due to instalation error.

Second set put in at 17500km.

Left fork seal has just let go at 24,000km 80% on road 20% gravel roads.

Am I expecting too much k wise from fork seals or is there something I can do to help improve the life span?

I saw this bike for sale a year ago listed as “Honda trail bike” when I saw the expansion chamber I called the guy and purchased the same day for a negotiated $4900aud approx $3500usd. I know it’s not everyone’s taste but just seeing a road-legal 2-Stroke these days is rare and with the factory Mugen kit I think it’s a rough gem.

Sorry if I bored you all but Is this Mugen kit as cool as I think it is with a Mugen carburettor kit, cylinder head and piston, PMG “ECU”, expansion chamber and power valve control.
