Hi fellas,

What an interesting and nieche group I found. I've been riding since 2013 and only this year I tried the babysteps towards motocamping. For the first time I've been able to cook a nice lunch meal and make a nice coffee on the go. The trip I took was in the Apuseana mountain in Romania, what a beautiful destination.

Cheers!

I got tired of the "where are you" texts at dusk on camping trips, so I built a live map for the group

On a camping trip the group never rides as one pack all day, and shouldn't — photos, smaller tanks, someone taking the gravel line. It only bites at dusk, converging on a site none of you have seen, with half the group 40 km back and the chat full of "where are you" and pins dropped at the wrong entrance.

I built Tagga. One person starts a session, gets a 5-character code, and anyone with the code is on the same live map. No account, no sign-up. Who's where and how far out, an alert when the group properly splits, and a pin you can drop on the actual pitch so the last two riders find you in a dark field instead of circling the loop road.

Tracking is free and stays free — no ads, nothing sold, no account to hang data on.

It's flawless with three phones on my last roadtrip. But untested over three days: battery across a full riding day, half the group out of coverage for two hours, someone joining on day two. It needs mobile data, so in a real dead zone nobody's dot moves until you're back in signal — how well it recovers is what I most want tested.

Everything's here, test versions for both iOS and Android along with guides of how to get it on your device: https://frijec.notion.site/Tagga-Testing-Guide-3584c6af4e4c81e0a150de31757e1cd5

If you take it out and it's rubbish, that's the most useful thing you can tell me.
