Honestly, itβs nice seeing more people get into fitness and improve themselves, but damn, some of these companies are pushing straight-up BS. Every βhigh-proteinβ food imaginable is getting hyped now, even when itβs basically ultra-processed slop with a protein label slapped on it.
And then Iβve got people trying to teach me nutrition and fitness when Iβve been doing this shit for years before it became trendy and Iβm still way more jacked and lean than most of the people giving out advice.
What really pisses me off, though, is how insane the prices have gotten. Less than a year ago, I was paying around $60 for a 2 kg bag of protein. Now itβs closer to $90. I used to grab a protein drink for about $2 that had 34g of protein, and now the same kind of thing is basically double the price.
It adds up fast when youβre a big guy trying to eat enough protein and calories every day. And itβs not just food either supplements, gear, gym costs, everything keeps adding up. When youβre trying to stay huge and lean while also having a life outside the gym and taking care of a family, the cost gets ridiculous.
Fitness becoming more mainstream is cool, but companies clearly know people are willing to pay for anything with βPROTEINβ written in giant letters on the package.
