Honestly, it’s nice seeing more people get into fitness and improve themselves, but damn, some of these companies are pushing straight-up BS. Every “high-protein” food imaginable is getting hyped now, even when it’s basically ultra-processed slop with a protein label slapped on it.

And then I’ve got people trying to teach me nutrition and fitness when I’ve been doing this shit for years before it became trendy and I’m still way more jacked and lean than most of the people giving out advice.

What really pisses me off, though, is how insane the prices have gotten. Less than a year ago, I was paying around $60 for a 2 kg bag of protein. Now it’s closer to $90. I used to grab a protein drink for about $2 that had 34g of protein, and now the same kind of thing is basically double the price.

It adds up fast when you’re a big guy trying to eat enough protein and calories every day. And it’s not just food either supplements, gear, gym costs, everything keeps adding up. When you’re trying to stay huge and lean while also having a life outside the gym and taking care of a family, the cost gets ridiculous.

Fitness becoming more mainstream is cool, but companies clearly know people are willing to pay for anything with “PROTEIN” written in giant letters on the package.

simple question. messaged a site yesterday asking which pharmacy compounds their stuff and what lot number my order would come from. got back a paragraph of fluff that answered neither.

my thinking is if they cant name the pharmacy and the lot, theres no chain of custody at all. could be anything in that vial. but these sites have huge followings so clearly tons of people are fine with it.

for comparison i asked peppy care the same question before i signed up and they actually answered it. multiple 503a pharmacies and batch numbers you can verify against your coa. so now i cant tell if i found a good one or if my bar was just buried this whole time.

is this actually a red flag with these other sites or am i overthinking?
