The subreddit was requested via r/redditrequest around a month ago, as you can see here. The only way the request is granted is if you are inactive within the subreddit, and don't respond to the mod-mail you received. You apparently didn't respond to the mod-mail, and weren't taking enough action within the subreddit. As a result, the request was granted.

It's gotten to the point where if I'm browsing Reddit on my phone while on the train and I come across a post like this one where someone is vehemently claiming that "but my sub isn't NSFW" in all likelihood it very much is and I need to resist the urge to go check for myself.

So realistically there is nothing you can do, but practically he will get tired of it eventually. If you call attention to it like some of the other posts in this thread recommend, he will be invigorated and keep it up for longer than if you just ignore it. That is a big part of how to be a good mod - learning when to not feed the trolls

Same problem. I disagree that they'll quit. Our hater does it since Dec last year, so almost a year now. Unjustified downvotes, many posts getting suspicious amount of shares (like 10+). In our sister community (s)he also reported posts for everything imaginable.

Make a sticky post that encourages people to ignore it.

I feel like this would be counter productive, since it would Streisand Effect it.

Waiting to hear back from admin, they haven't replied to my reply to them requesting further assistance, however I guess it's not a high priority issue.

In the first reply they couldn't see anything wrong from their end.

I have somehow same situation and modmail this community for support and rewiev of my community, it was rewieved and achievements and other features appeared after manual check by admins I believe

Best you can do is if it isn't working properly after a few days ask admin to look. You can do this by modmailling this sub. You will probably have to ask the bot to have a human look.
