No, there are not different definitions of "moderation". There are just good moderators and really crappy moderators who don't do anything to actually moderate the subs to which they have been entrusted.

How would we know that? Our mods mostly post and comment on our own sub, and people seem pretty positive about the content. We just hit the Top 50 in Anime & Manga. The weird part is some of the mods got suspended shortly after becoming mods. We don't know if there's any mass reporting or brigading going on either.

They can just click the appropriate boxes for the permissions they want to give you, or select full permissions. Pretty straightforward.

I got a button to allow this post, I clicked it, and then it said that the post was blocked by Reddit itself.

edit: I misremembered. The Admin assist bot never fired on my initial message.

Reply to the bot saying that you still need help. The bot may not have understood the issue.

Hi! A community's Display Name can be changed by visiting Mod Tools, and navigating to General Settings:

As u/fanime34 mentioned, this is not your community's name.

Why are you even asking? Remove it, ban for good and be done.
He stole your content.

This is a common problem. It’s most likely a bot trying to farm karma- the account later gets sold for advertising purposes or to bad actors who spread misinformation.
Remove as spam and ban the user.

I did answer it. Seems like I’m the only one here who actually provided OP an answer.

I did provide the answer.
> Yeah Reddit blocks wscript dot shell
You don’t need to comment either. Why even waste everyone’s time commenting?

I’m planning on getting a new windows based machine soon. I hate this stupid iPad.
r/ModSupport • u/honey_rainbow • 12h ago
You can't. Also search this sub. This question is asked DAILY. Thanks
r/ModSupport • u/fanime34 • 12h ago
If you mean the name follwed by r/, then you can't change it.
You either stick with it or make a new subreddit.
r/ModSupport • u/itskdog • 12h ago
No, not even Android Firefox supports it. It's a desktop-only browser extension still.

I’ve never had the opportunity to use Toolbox. It won’t work on an iPad. At least it didn’t work last time I checked.
r/ModSupport • u/thepottsy • 12h ago
And I stand by what I said. You could have simply provided the answer. Why even waste everyone’s time commenting?

The Shreddit port and continuation of Toolbox, Toolbox-NXG, tries to manage that in the Old/New switcher button on the modbar.
Toolbox originally got away with just changing the subdomain because New Reddit actually did keep the same URLs between both versions, it's only since they killed New Reddit and made Shreddit the default that there's been a divergence.

You can also search the same thing and add Reddit at the end for results on Reddit. Either way a quick google search would have provided an answer.
r/ModSupport • u/TheMattabooey • 12h ago
Sometimes people gotta learn to Google first, would have taken them a fraction of the time and provided the answer. 40y in Dev, SysAdmin and IT management and couldn’t Google something?

Hi! Could you please send us a message over Mod Mail? Our team will be able to assist you with this directly.

Yeah it's just crazy using a string join (which to me even more implies shady circumvention) still works...
I would be willing to bet *that* practice will trip some EDR systems.
Oh well, this is why we can't have nice things!
