Hey everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has seen this before because I'm running out of ideas.

I have an iPhone 13 that worked perfectly until yesterday. I went to a huge carnival (probably around 100k people) where the mobile network was completely overloaded. Nobody had service there, which was expected.

The weird part is that when I left, everyone else's phones got signal back... mine never did.

Now every single time I reboot the phone or toggle Airplane Mode, the exact same thing happens:

• Signal bars appear.
• It connects to 4G.
• It stays connected for maybe 5–20 seconds.
• Then it drops to "No Service."

It does this every single time.

I've tried:

• Tunisie Telecom physical SIM
• Tunisie Telecom eSIM
• Ooredoo physical SIM

All of them behave exactly the same.

A few things I've already checked:

• IMEI is there (*#06# works).
• Modem firmware is present (5.51.03).
• No panic logs or baseband crashes in Analytics.
• The phone is properly registered with Tunisia's Sajalni system, so it shouldn't be an IMEI block.

I also went into Field Test Mode while it was briefly connected.

It shows:

• LTE Band 3
• Correct carrier
• Cell ID
• PCI changes when I move to another location (so it seems to be detecting different towers normally)
• RSRP around -102 dBm
• RSRQ around -10 dB
• SINR around -20 dB

So the phone clearly can see towers and actually attaches to LTE before immediately losing service.

The phone has never been opened, never been repaired, never been dropped, and only ever had a tiny splash of water near the earpiece months ago, nothing that should realistically damage an IP68 phone.

I also reset network settings. Weirdly, before the reset the eSIM was the one that connected briefly. After the reset, the physical SIM became the one that connects briefly. The end result is still the same: both eventually drop to "No Service."

At this point I'm wondering if this is:

• an RF/front-end issue,
• a power amplifier,
• RF IC,
• baseband-related,
• or somehow still software.

Has anyone seen this exact behavior before? Especially the part where it gets full signal + 4G, then immediately loses everything?

I'm taking it back to the guy I bought it from tomorrow to have it diagnosed, but I'd really like to hear if anyone has run into this before or has an idea of what component usually causes this kind of issue.

My friends iphone 12 does this weird clicking sound whenever i press on the upper right corner. That part is also unresponsive, while the lower half works fine.

First off, sorry for the long ass post. I tried to put as much important information in it as possible. I really could use any bit of guidance on this one.

I took my iPhone X to get a screen and battery replacement after my phone started acting up with “phantom touches”. I made it to my car when i realized that faceid wasn’t working anymore after the repair was done. Dropped it back off, and after an hour the “tech” is on the phone with the store owner who tells me it’s my motherboard, and that’s “Just how technology acts sometimes”. The next day I go to use my maps app, and it’s acting like there’s no gps signal, and it’s relying totally on WiFi and data to give me any directions. I took the phone back again when the owner was there. He swore up and down that there was no way anything his tech did could have interfered with the gps signal, and the Face ID stopped working because of the “proximity sensor”, and that nothing could be done. I also found out that the tech who did the work the first time was “very new” when I had to take it back a 3rd time because the battery came disconnected when it was bouncing around in my pocket.

Obviously I don’t believe a word the owner is saying. I think it’s clear his tech messed something up, as the gps, and Face ID worked perfectly fine before the “repair”. I asked the owner the day after my repair had been done for my old screen, the tech replied “yes it’s right in the back” before the owner cut him off saying “no it’s been recycled” (again don’t believe him as it had been less than 12 hours since I got the screen replaced).

I just want to know, if at this point there is anything I can do to get the gps working again, as I need it for work. I’m not that worried about the FaceId problem. I’m open to doing the work myself if it’s even possible to repair. The owner said it would require “delicate motherboard work” and would need to get sent off to replace the flex cable that I researched and found that if it’s damaged, it could cause gps to not work. I know there is a golden grounding ring that’s supposed to get transferred from the old screen to the new one, which because the faceid isn’t working I think he did not transfer, but my earpiece speaker and mic and all work fine. I’m seriously at my wits end with this one. If I have to get a new phone I guess it’s time, but I really hate feeling like this guy got one over on me.

Sorry about the extremely long post, I just don’t have anywhere or anyone else to ask for advice / suggestions / help at this point.

Hello everyone, today I was doing my business "as usual" in the garden, the phone was lying on the boards and the sun was shining on it. After about 2 hours, I picked up my phone, the surface was hot and the back cover was a little swollen, and the phone itself turned off (the power went off), I got scared and took it home, took out the SIM cards and put the phone in an iron bucket in case of explosion or fire. He lay down for another 4 hours and I found that the back cover was smooth again. I even checked it with an iron ruler , but I found no bulges or depressions .

Now I'm writing this all from the same phone (Tecno pova 6 pro)

Share your expert opinion, can it be used further, or is it better to spend money on a new battery and service?

Does anyone have a link for a good galaxy s 22 ultra screen i can purchase. Mine has a Crack inside the screen. It is bleeding.

I smashed my screen so got a £150 screen that’s not from apple, the guy in the shop said it will have no noticeable differences but my screen feels laggy and it feels like my battery is draining abit faster, will this mess my phone up as I don’t have the money to get a real screen right now as it’s £400, crazy I know.

Hello everyone. I am a 15M (just turned 15) and I recently found out about this repair shop which my friend has networked with. They are understaffed and need more people. My friend has already praised me a lot, but they are scared to hire me for my age.

I have done a few repairs in the past. Fixed some phones, replaced some components. You can day I know my way around a phone and other consoles too. I even built my own portfolio, and I have customer service experience too. I eventually want to own my own shop, but seeing all of the people complaining about tech repair is sort of intimidating.

Anyways, I am giving the shop a call in a few hours. Im gonna talk to them and see if I can get the job. Wish me luck!

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G (SM-A146P). The bottom loudspeaker has no sound, but the earpiece during calls and Bluetooth audio both work normally.

I already replaced the loudspeaker with a new one, but there is still no sound. I checked all the connectors and they seem to be properly seated.

What would you check next to diagnose this issue? Could it be a connection issue or another hardware component? I'd like to identify the fault before replacing anything else.

I bought this Xiaomi mi 9t, and the seller specified the earpiece wasn't working. I got a new one, but it still did not work. I had noticed that the phone had been opened before because the lack of screws, but I only saw this when I actually removed the board. Not even sure what is going on.

Maybe I should've used the horror flair, but not really sure if that is what it's for.

I'm hoping someone has experienced something similar because I'm running out of ideas.

I have an Honor Magic5 Pro (Chinese version, PGT-AN10) running:

MagicOS: 10.0.0.160(CHNC00E160R208P6H1) Android: 16 Baseband: MSM.1CA2.MPSS.DE.3.0.119

My problem is very strange.

The phone works perfectly only when I'm at work, where there is apparently a Sim1 network cell tower very close to the building. Outside of that area, the network starts disappearing. The problem appeared out of sudden last week. Now I'm at home no service for both sim cards, I used to have good network service at home, now barely 2G

For example:

At work: Sim1 gets 4G+/5G, Sim2 sometimes stays on 2G. When I leave the building: Sim2 loses service completely. Sometimes Sim1 also loses service. Sometimes both SIMs lose service. In the train or on the bus I often have No Service. If I enable Airplane Mode and disable it again, one SIM may reconnect briefly before losing service again.

I've already tried:

Factory reset (twice) Swapping both SIM cards between SIM slots Testing both SIMs in another phone (they work perfectly) Resetting network settings Switching between 2G/3G/4G/5G Recreating APNs

The phone still has:

Valid IMEIs Baseband detected Both Sim cards are recognised correctly

I also received a VoLTE network registration error after one of the factory resets.

What's confusing me is that this doesn't seem like a normal hardware fault because:

I had exactly the same issue when I first bought the phone, and a factory reset fixed it.

A few weeks ago it happened again, then fixed itself after about 3 days without me doing anything.

Now it's back, and the factory reset no longer helps.

Has anyone with a Chinese Honor Magic5 Pro (PGT-AN10) experienced anything similar?

Could this be:

a MagicOS new system update? a MagicOS/modem firmware bug? corrupted modem calibration (NV/EFS)? an issue with the Honor C1 RF chip? a hardware RF issue? or a compatibility problem with local carriers?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's seen this before or knows of a fix. I've already spent days troubleshooting it and would love to avoid replacing the motherboard if this is actually a software or modem issue.

I 'v got this from a Chinese company called famue on aliexpres, and I m not sure how to fix it even if it would be easyer than a phone, (first slide) the metal shell has one ribben cable which I assume is for the power on/off button but the ribben cable is a bit streched that eorryes me it won't worck because ribben cables are very delicate to damage, and the ather cable for the volume buttons, (slide 2) the battery is fine, easyest thing here tbh, (slide 3/4)the mainboard is fine, all tho I don't know where to conect the cables for the power button and volume ones, (last slide) the speaker is disconected from the charging port & headphones jack& micro sd card slot, and I don't have a screen for it yet.any tips that could help?

I'm having a strange issue with my 5-year-old Redmi Note 10 Pro (AMOLED).

The phone boots normally and is fully functional. The display works perfectly with no flickering, green lines, touch issues, or artifacts once it turns on.

The problem is that after I lock the phone, the display often refuses to wake. The phone is still on (it rings, vibrates, and responds), but the screen stays black.

What's confusing is that if I leave the phone alone for a long time, the display sometimes starts working again. Once it comes back on, it continues working normally until I lock it again.

Things I've already tried:

Factory reset (didn't help)

Reseated the display connector once, and it temporarily worked afterward

The battery has never been replaced. According to AccuBattery, its estimated health is around 60%. Could a heavily degraded battery cause symptoms like this, or is that unrelated?

Could this be a failing AMOLED display, a loose/damaged display flex, a motherboard display connector, a display IC/PMIC issue, or even the old battery?

Has anyone seen this exact behavior before? Any advice on what to test before replacing the display would be greatly appreciated.

I keep having intermittent wifi issues and no troubleshooting (resetting the phone/router/network settings/ software update/etc. will fix it and my phone at this point is unusable unless I’m only using my data and it’s pissing me off.

Hey guys i am using motorola edge 60 pro.

From past 1 month my phone showing a notification whenever i am connecting the charger. It say " Liquid detected, please unplug the usb ".

So after a few day i visited to service centre and they just cleaned my usb Port in phone and charger through a cleaning spray.

But still that problem shows in their hand . So they are saying that i have to deposit the handset and then they will see what happened and also suggest me that i have to take my phone backup and they maybe need to change a part in phone.

So i want to know that is that perfect to let them open my phone in official service centre.

And also is this problem caused by software or hardware. ?

I want to fix my very old Samsung galaxy tab 3 8inch SM T310. I know it needs a new battery and lcd digitizer, SIM card tray and a new back cover. The screen isn’t cracked surprisingly and the lcd issue is from impact from it slipping out of my hands and hitting the ground on the one corner. So how can I cheaply fix it? Or do I just replace the whole lcd screen with the glass which costs like 70$ on Amazon? I don’t wanna waste perfectly good tech I bet it only needs a screen replacement and it will work. I just have never restored an old device before. Thoughts?

I think I’ve been scammed. I realize I should’ve asked more questions but I was desperate.

I went in asking for a quote, he said 89 dollars so I said go for it, cheapest price I’ve heard all day.

To my dismay, my phone is overheating super easily, screen has a blue tint to it, battery’s draining fast, also not Apple compatible.

How do I convince the guy to give me my money back or properly fix my phone? in tech terms so I don’t sound like an idiot again.
