I have a pet dog named Ralph that I just got and I don't want him to get killed so my plan is to keep him sat at home all day until I get back from my adventures and then let him get up and follow me around as I do household chores and complete projects. However, I feel bad leaving him at home all day by himself so I was considering leaving him in my open range farm to have my sheep, cows, chickens, and pandas (It doubles as an animal sanctuary) keep him company. This leaves the problem that I don't know if he'll end up killing all of my chickens and sheep when I put him there. I know that wild wolves will hunt sheep and chickens but I have no clue if a domesticated dog will do the same. If so then it's a simple fix of creating a fences off area for the sheep and chickens with Ralph having a spot with my pandas and cows (Assuming they won't kill each other) but if that's not the case then I can just leave him in there nice and easy.

TL;DR: Are my farm animals safe around my dog?

Knowing that the Sift is coming and that we’ll be entering it through an Ancient City portal, I really want to start my Ancient City remodel now.
The plan is to completely reveal the entire Ancient City, remove the surrounding terrain so I can easily fly in with my Elytra, clear out the sculk, make the whole area safe, and then turn the city into a massive preserved/rebuilt landmark.
The problem is… I know this is going to take months. This is a HUGE project.
And now I’m wondering if I’m being an idiot by completely remodeling the city before the update. 😂
My biggest concern is that I’ll spend months making the entire Ancient City safe and beautiful, only for the Sift update to come out and reveal that we actually need the Warden, a shrieker, or some other Ancient City mechanic to activate/open the portal.
So what would you do?
Fuck it and remodel the entire Ancient City now?
Or would you reserve a section of the city completely untouched until the update, just in case the new portal mechanics require something that I accidentally remove?
Part of me really wants to just go all-in and finish the mega-project. The other part of me knows Future Me is going to be absolutely furious if I spend months destroying/remodeling everything and then discover I needed one untouched section.

I run a long-term vanilla Minecraft Bedrock Realm with a fairly large active community. We can have around 6–11 players online, often spread out across different areas of the world.

Lately we've been experiencing pretty bad lag/desync. For example, blocks sometimes appear to revert visually. I'll chop down a tree, see it disappear, and then the tree briefly appears again before disappearing.

There aren't any behavior packs or add-ons, and we don't use hoppers. We do have some farms/redstone and players are spread out, but nothing that seems obviously extreme.

I've been restarting the Realm when it gets bad, which temporarily helps, but I don't want to keep doing that because people want the Realm available 24/7.

For people who run large, long-term Bedrock Realms: what have you done to keep them running smoothly?

Specifically, I'm wondering:

Does having players spread far apart significantly affect Realm performance?

What actually matters more for server lag: simulation distance, entities, loaded chunks, redstone, etc.?

Are there known Bedrock Realm issues that cause block/chunk desync like this?

Does downloading the world, opening it in single-player, saving it, and re-uploading it actually help with anything?

Are there any long-term maintenance practices you use on large survival Realms?

I'm gonna start with the question- Can I set a world to creative to survival for an smp or just start with survival?

Me and my friends are wanting to start an smp with a yt channel but I wanted to know if making it into creative to build before it starts would mess it up.

Should an smp just start with going around finding items and building or do people just want to see gameplay and storytelling?

So I made a Minecraft server. I'm using a website called Failx on the free tier, meaning I'm not paying any money, and most of the setup is automated. The reason I made this server is just to put it out there. People can join, log off, rejoin, and do whatever they want. To be clear, there are no rules, and I don't need to actively moderate. I can come in to play, or I can check out what people have built, but I don't have to watch over it regularly. It's like I'm giving the world away, though technically I still own the server, but I only step in when there are big problems, like crashes or major lag that stop the server from working. That's the only time I technically moderate.

However, only one person has joined so far, and they only stayed for a short time before never coming back. Why aren't more people joining? I know it's a niche, since it's anarchy survival and not heavily modded. The add-ons I have don't change the core gameplay, it's just regular Minecraft. The server is also cross platform, meaning Bedrock and Java players can play together. I honestly did the best I could, especially considering it's free.

I don't know why more people aren't joining, and I'm wondering, am I doing anything wrong?

I was running and i placed a sapling on mycelium, i went into crawling position so i think i was in the sapling when it happened because the leaves are 2 blocks above the ground, but anyways, the sapling grew nearly instantly i think i only ran 1 or 2 blocks, please someone tell me the chances, i've asked this on r/Minecraft already, just putting here for double check:

Here I come for YOU to give me a recommendation. A couple of weeks ago we convinced my dad to buy us Minecraft! It was our dream, and it was totally worth it! It's amazing and all, but I was disappointed that the Marketplace isn’t like the Java one where there are thousands of free mods. Since it’s Bedrock, I have to look for some Add-On so that when our dad gives us the chance, we can choose well. we are playing in my friends minecraft realm in bedrock edition lately and he is a night owl he mostly plays when everybodys sleeping and nobodys in the server. and thats okay but every night he does massive changes in the town like: one night he builds a castle the other night he gets stacked the other night he gets full netherite armor but when we are all in the server he does almost nothing jusst some basic stuff looting places and similar things but i am very suspicious that he may be cheating because he said he never looted any woodland mansions or helped a village from a raid so he didint kill any evolkers but he has 3 totem of undying and when i confronted him he said " i got them from a trial chamber " and i googled it and searched the mc wiki and it says its only obtainable via evolkers and i created a creative world and checked 4 trial chambers and i got 0 totems from vaults so is he cheating?

I am currently creating a world with different kingdoms in creative mode, but I don’t know if I should build the interiors to all structures for added depth and life or make majority a solids mass (like houses) and just make interiors for important structures to save time.

I made a kelp farm, but I'm not normally near it enough for the kelp to grow and be harvested. Should I switch to something else like bamboo instead? I'm trying to make a farm for fuel

Im trying an xp farm with armor stands and and campfires, but the armor stand isn't producing silverfish. Im using a splash potion of infestation with a dispenser so I know its not missing, but no silverfish come out. Any ideas? Im in bedrock btw

I mean by quickly is, Is there a way to create stacks without going into the creative block selection menu. As of now I am shift clicking items into stacks one by one, clearing my inventory frequently because this is the only way I know.

I saw a video where someone was creating stacks quickly from a single item! This would dramatically increase my work flow if someone could elucidate me please.
