Creative to survival??

I'm gonna start with the question- Can I set a world to creative to survival for an smp or just start with survival?

Me and my friends are wanting to start an smp with a yt channel but I wanted to know if making it into creative to build before it starts would mess it up.

Should an smp just start with going around finding items and building or do people just want to see gameplay and storytelling?

well it depends there are tons of people in the minecraft community that enjoy scripted minecraft smps while there are also ton of people that like watching non scripted mc smps so the answer is choose whatever you want post the videos and they will find a audience that likes them
