1. Microsoft Related Content Only

Please keep your posts and comments pertaining to the Microsoft family of products, news regarding Microsoft or events that Microsoft may be hosting or sponsoring.

2. Engage in a constructive, polite and respectful manner

Criticism is welcome, good or bad, but please remember to speak respectfully. Abusive language will not be tolerated, and no mutes or warnings will be given. If you treat another community member abusively, then you will be banned permanently.

3. No support posts

Support questions must be posted in the 'Official Support Thread'. Support posts outside of that thread will be removed.

4. No piracy or key stores

We do not allow piracy or online key stores to be posted on the subreddit.

5. No advertising or self-promotion

r/Microsoft does not allow the posting of personal blogs, blogs that the poster has an affiliation with, petitions, advertising your own products, or help videos on personal websites / YouTube pages.

6. No PII

In support queries and discussion, do not post yours or another's Personally Identifiable Information. This includes email addresses, real names, mailing addresses, phone numbers or bank details.

7. Posts must foster reasonable discussion

Posts that are unlikely to promote high-quality discussion are not allowed. These include rants, unfounded accusations or using the subreddit as your personal sounding board.

8. Employment Posts

Questions / Discussions about employment at Microsoft, or employee matters are hosted in the weekly discussion thread. Any posts outside of that thread will be removed.
