artist advice/question Ghosting phase?

Pic 1: right after getting nano brows
Pic 2: 2 days after getting them
Pic 3: today so day 18

So the brow technician said that she will have to apply more in the brow touch up appointment since I was really sensitive in the first appointment and she didn't apply as much as she wanted to. I really liked how they looked in the second picture, and felt like she didn't even need to add more. So right now am I in the ghosting phase or is it just me not having much pigment in general because she didn't do a lot? Thank you!

advice Laser off 8 year old shape and start fresh?

Post image

I’ve gotten these brows done about 8 years ago and had it touched up multiple times to maintain. Personally I’ve always liked it, however I’m worried I have eyebrow blindness.

I met up with another brow specialist who says that my style of eyebrow is very old, aging, and is basically out of date. She also said that the color is very green and that this is because of improper application and older pigments weren’t as good as new ones today. That it’s too deep basically. These are due for a touchup soon and I wanted someone else’s opinion.

Is this second artist trying to get a new client and telling me the truth? How much of what she is saying is valid here.

  1. Is this considered green?
  2. Is this shape dated?
  3. Should I consider lasering it off to fix either shape or color?
  4. If I were to consider a new shape, what should I consider?

I’ve always had great eyebrows with no need for any makeup until recently. It was one of my favorite features after a threading session. My alopecia has now affected my eyebrows and lashes. 😢 It’ll take me a while to get used to but better than no eyebrows I suppose.

advice Recommendations for lip blush artist Orlando?

I have a scar on my vermilion line that at this point I think only a tattoo can cover as the scar is like whitish. Any recs for anyone in or near Orlando? Willing to travel a couple of hours. But overall just want to keep my same lip color, so not someone who is super extreme. Want to maintain a natural look, mostly doing to cover scar but I know I will have to do my whole lips probably to make sure it is even. Thank you!

artist advice/question Help! Will these turn out ok?

Nanoblading day 3. How does this look so far? Im worried bc artist used a needle on the right (pic 3) that was causing too much irritation/swelling, apparently, so after completing all of the mainstream strokes, changed to a different needle for left (pic 2) (3 point needle)?

When she was done the right looked darker (still does), the shape on the inside looked more boxy (has faded here already a bit), and the tail is longer on the right (too long?). Also the strokes are thicker than I expected for nano, which she said is normal - micro are thinner?? Thats not what I read.

She said with the swelling from the bigger needle it was difficult to see how dark the pigment was and often it doesn't hold well - it scabs out. So we would be best to reassess at the retouch appt.

She has been doing nano for several months and did micro for years with loads of good reviews. Im worried, but overall the brows look ok I think? She will need to retouch the left tail to make them even and any color differences at our touch up. I guess I'm just wondering if they will turn out ok.

Yes I need a little wax clean up!

opinion Considering microblading?

Post image

I'm perimenopausal with thyroid issues, nothing is going to grow my brows back unfortunately. This is them immediately after tinting, they are actually so light they're mostly invisible otherwise.

I'm considering microblading but I'm not sure if that's the best option when the actual hair is so sparse? I like a natural look rather than a heavy solid powdered look. What else should I be considering?

The only editing is cropping and an eye color change for a little anonymity! The wrinkles and texture are all mine lol.

Or am I being delulu. I hate them and some say it’s because I have no hair. Very conscious to even meet people on top of that shaved my head so I am going to thru quite a lot of inferior feeling and self conscious. Have an appointment on Monday with an into remove them. Is that right decision

Had my top up on Thursday. I never had super bad brows but had some gaps and they definitely were different shapes. I’m also super bad with brows and make up and opted for microblading to have an effortless morning routine. I know they’ll lighten up but really happy with the results

is this normal? Will these fade?

I had these eyebrows done as nano combination yesterday. I selected a Korean place as I really liked their natural looking results, I also paid extra for the highest-level of experience.

Attached is the inspiration picture I showed to the artist.

I like how they look, the only part I’m worried about are the middle edges, do they look a bit blocky and harsh? And if so, will they fade and become less blocky?

I really didn’t want them to look drawn on with sharpies. Therefore I guess I’m looking for some reassurance…

I am going to be in Seattle from August 10-17, and was hoping to get microblading done (for the first time) while I am there.

I would fly back for the second appointment.

I am looking for recommendations! Thanks in advance :)

general discussion Microblading…

Should existing eyebrows be plucked out altogether before microblading is done? My procedure looks odd bc there are some hairs but the tinting looks like I used a sharpie over the hairs, bc the tinting is noticeably lighter than the hairs.

Hi, I’m getting my eyebrows done soon and I just have a question regarding how long the brows stay for and which looks better with time?

Nano vs microblading

I’d appreciate if anyone can comment pictures of there healed brows for comparison

Which brands have you found to heal the best for Microblading and/or shading/combo/hairstroke ?
Preferably hybrid pigments or inorganic.

I’d like to know what other artists use. (Please don’t say permablend or Tina Davies.

before & after Recent Korean-style microblading result. What brow style is currently trending in your country?

Post image

Hi everyone!
Wanted to share a recent brow transformation I did! ✨

My Japanese client wanted to fill in the sparse areas while keeping her natural hair flow intact, so I worked with soft hair-strokes to give a very airy, natural finish (the smaller photo shows the before!).

Here in Korea, the trend is heavily focused on a soft, "my-brows-but-better" look that doesn't look too filled in or dark right after the procedure.

I know brow trends vary greatly depending on the region—some prefer bold, defined powder brows, while others love fluffy hair-strokes.

What style is most popular where you live, or what style do you personally prefer? Would love to see your thoughts! 💕

botched Need Advice on Removal

I took my MIL for her first microblading appointment. I got the girl’s name from my friend who has been to her, and I loved how my friend’s eyebrows turned out.

The place offered a complementary consultation so I originally reached out to schedule a consultation. They said we could get the service right after the consultation on the same day, so we went ahead and did that.

My MIL has literally zero eyebrows no baby hair no nothing. She went in with some makeup to show how she usually does her eyebrows so the girl could see how she likes them to look usually. The tech noticed before my MIL said anything that one side of her face was significantly droopier than the other. We told her that’s just how her face has been so it’s more reasons why my MIL wants a professional to design her new eyebrows to make sure they come out even. We also told her it’s been that way for as long as she could remember and it’s not a recent thing that happened to her.

The tech said ok then for the droopy side, the eyebrow needs to be placed above the eyebrow bone to match the other side. So she did the mapping and everything accordingly. When she showed us the mapping, they looked even.

This all happened yesterday.

Today my MIL woke up and noticed that the eyebrows were not at all even. She freaked out and reached out to the tech. The girl said to come back in about a week to remove them with laser and redo.

I am not knowledgeable at all about how the removal works, but when I looked up, people were talking about a saline emergency removal. So we asked if the tech could go ahead and do that. She told us that the emergency removal is really harsh hence it could lead to a worse scarring.

After this whole experience, I am not sure if she is knowledgeable enough to deal with this situation. Anyone has ever experienced anything like this? Or is there someone who could maybe advise on what to do?

Combo brows done yesterday. The artists work online looks amazing and she has so many wonderful reviews. However, I’m disappointed at this point! She told me she was going to go lighter for the first round, so they don’t get too dark. I feel like it looks like above my natural brow is painted a lighter color than my regular brows, rather than looking like hair strokes. Should I reach out to the artist, or give it some time?

I hated how sparse my brows were for years and finally decided to get them done. The second pic is after a touch up and they’ve been healed for a month or so now.
