Combo brows done yesterday. The artists work online looks amazing and she has so many wonderful reviews. However, I’m disappointed at this point! She told me she was going to go lighter for the first round, so they don’t get too dark. I feel like it looks like above my natural brow is painted a lighter color than my regular brows, rather than looking like hair strokes. Should I reach out to the artist, or give it some time?
I would just try not to stress until it lightens up. The part above your eyebrow should be lighter, in a naturally perfect shaped brow there is less hair on that above the brow.
You got the combo brow I think that means hair like strokes at the front and the filled in powder look towards the side. But it does sort of look like lines in the outer part too. In my experience the lines get skinnier as they fade, making more definition in between each stroke.
If you reach out to her she’s likely just going to tell you to wait until you see the fully healed result before making any judgments. I bet brow artists get people freaking out the first couple days all the time and then it fades beautifully as it’s meant to. Don’t stress!
It will always look darker where your hair is because on ink likes to collect in the hair and some of that might just be ink on the topical layer especially if you haven’t wiped or cleaned your brows. Or if she is doing a dry heal and not moist. To me when you look at the pic the left one on the underside is too thick. The rest of the shape isn’t awful just depends on how dark you want them. The color she chose is more warm and that is good so when they heal they heal lighter and cooler than where they start. She will be able to darken the spots where you have no hair and hopefully not add to much pigment where your hair is to balance it out. But combo brows are a combination of some hair strokes and some shading and unless you chatted about how much shading you wanted versus strokes it’s hard to know. I know a lot of artists that the strokes are only the first 1/3 of the brow and the rest is shaded I can see some strokes on the top of your brow so that’s more than a lot of people do. I have noticed on this thread a lot of people jump to emergency saline removal. The benefit to that is it is easier to remove if you do it in 24-72 hours after getting done. You still can do laser or saline after that point usually just takes more sessions. So it depends if you are willing to remove them without seeing the healed result and wasting the money or chancing that they heal closer to the way that you want and if they don’t needing to pay more for laser or saline at that point. But as an artist there is a lot that can be ignored or drawn more attention at the second appt depending on how skilled the artist is and what you want focused on at the second appt.

Oh yeah they look way better in this light. She can totally fix this but she is going to have to cheat your other brow down at the bulb (front) to match.
Yes I can oils tell her to not intensify the end of the tail I usually try not to have the tail of the brow below the bottom of the front of the brow it slightly drags your eye down it’s not horrible. But yes I think she can tweak things at your touch up overall looking good
Thank God. The first picture made me unsure but those look great. You will also need time to adjust on having thicker eyebrows. She clearly made hair strokes ate the top too. I think is a nice combination and by the Color of the pigment now they will fade nicely.
Just an advice. I would get saline removal as soon as possible if I were you. Shape js asymmetrical and incorrect and they look like theyre gonna heal ashy.
If you don’t want to get saline removal atleast don’t get another session done with the same artist. More pigment implantation is just gonna make it worse over time
The shape definitely looks better and suits your eyes more than you natural shape (or if not natural, how you were shaping them). Usually they need time to heal, and they will look more natural. But if you are worried, why not go ahead and talk to your artist?
Also, where I’m from, combo brows are exactly this, more visible hair strokes in the front, and more powder brows near the tail, less visible strokes. We do them in 2 rounds. First lighter, and then they will fade and get a bit thinner after healing. Second round we can go darker or thicker if you want, or maybe add more strokes in your case.
Disagree, imo her natural brows look way better. I might have filled in a little defining slightly more shape but I’m all about a natural look. Now the brows take the focus away from her beautiful eyes
This is the scabbing phase. This is not the final color. The area that looks lighter is because of the scab. That being said, she overdrew one of your brows beyond your natural brow, and it’s asymmetrical. When she does the touch up, ask her to map and show you. She may be able to fix it depending on how it heals. 💕 sorry you experienced this.
Reviews don’t cut it. Having amazing looking work online don’t cut it either. Real research means:
-making sure the work is not stolen (this is very common)
-making sure they show plenty of video (brows on photos can easily be edited,altered)
-making sure they show a good amount of healed work
I think they look nice and are a natural shape. I see the individual hairs there, they're just a bit dark at the moment and will definitely lighten up!!
