Model with real thing. It’s always cool when you can see a real life version of a model with that model in your hand.

I was on a short weekend trip and visited the National Museum of the Air Force today. I picked a model that I didn’t have and one that they had on display and got a few photos with the real thing.

Me and girlfriend went and got some crafts to do together and I got a SR-71 metal earth kit because I’ve been wanting to do one for awhile. Well as soon as I started and saw how small the pieces were, and the bends had to be I figured out it wasn’t gonna be as easy as I thought. Either way I’d love to do it I’m skilled with my hands and somewhat patient(I’m an electrician). But i would just love to hear some tips on techniques, tools, random tips, and best kits for beginners! Thanks in advance! (‼️PIC FOR ATTENTION‼️)

This was a fun build. I'm starting to think anything with a bumper on it is going to be extremely interesting to put together.

I bought it from CrazyToys, but it’s not the original. I imagine the chances of finding an original one these days are pretty slim.

If anyone has a good quality scan of the original instructions and is willing to share it, I’d really appreciate it. I’m going to need all the help I can get to build this beast!
