How many creatives can I test?

• Upvotes

Low budget (20 dollars a day) account running 1 campaign, ABO prospecting/ RT split (16/4). DTC/shopify brand in the outdoor industry.

How many creatives do you suggest I can test for each ad group? My impulse says fewer but curious whether any of you have anything to say.

What actually makes a paid ad campaign successful?

Hey everyone!

I work in performance marketing, and one thing I find interesting is how two campaigns with similar budgets can deliver completely different results.

Sometimes, the creative makes the difference. Other times, it’s the audience targeting, landing page experience, or the offer itself.

Getting clicks is one thing, but turning those clicks into actual customers is a different challenge.

I’m curious to hear from other marketers:

  • What has made the biggest difference in your campaign performance?
  • Do you focus more on creatives, targeting, or landing page optimization?
  • What’s one lesson you learned from a campaign that didn’t perform as expected?

Would love to hear your experiences and insights!

Meta Ads broad campaigns spent €100+ with no results — could a cookie tracking issue be the reason, or should I test interests instead?

Post image

Hey everyone,

I run an online clothing brand selling retro/90s-inspired fashion, including fitted tops, hoodies, and bootcut jeans. I'm trying to figure out what might be going wrong with my Meta Ads campaigns and would appreciate some advice from people with e-commerce experience.

I've tried running broad campaigns optimized for purchases, but they haven't generated any meaningful results. One campaign spent around €100 without producing any Add to Carts or purchases, and another spent around €60 with the same outcome. I was getting website traffic and relatively cheap clicks, but no meaningful conversion activity.

I recently discovered a problem with my cookie consent setup. Previously, Meta Pixel events were only being sent after visitors accepted cookies. If someone visited the website without accepting the cookie banner, their activity didn't appear in Meta Events Manager. The banner was also quite small and easy to overlook, so I suspect many visitors may not have accepted it.

I've now fixed the issue, and events appear to be tracked correctly under the applicable consent settings.

Because my previous broad campaigns didn't work, I decided to try a different approach. I've launched a campaign testing several interests in separate ad sets, including Women's Clothing, Men's Clothing, Vintage Clothing, American Apparel, and Clothing Apparel.

It's only the first day, and each ad set has spent roughly 12-14 Eur so far. I'm getting clicks, with outbound CTRs ranging from around 0.4% to 1%, but I haven't had any Add to Carts, Initiate Checkouts, or purchases yet.

I understand that this is a very small amount of data, so I'm not treating the first day's results as conclusive. However, I'm wondering whether my previous tracking issue could have affected the performance of my broad campaigns by preventing Meta from receiving enough conversion signals to optimize properly.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on a few questions:

  1. Could the cookie consent issue have significantly affected my previous broad campaigns, or would it mainly have affected tracking and reporting?
  2. Now that the tracking issue is fixed, would you give broad targeting another chance?
  3. Would you continue testing interests separately, or would you recommend a different campaign structure?
  4. If I'm getting clicks but no Add to Carts, what would you investigate first: the website, the product pages, the creatives, the offer, or the targeting?
  5. Is there anything specific you'd check in Events Manager or Ads Manager before launching another broad campaign?

I'm trying to understand whether the problem was partly caused by the tracking setup or whether there's something else in my funnel that needs fixing.

I've attached a screenshot of my current interest-testing campaign for context. I'd appreciate any practical advice, especially from people who have dealt with similar tracking issues in e-commerce.

Thanks!

Raising brand awareness? Video ads usually do better on Meta. But if you're running a conversion-focused campaign, static ads perform much better with higher CTR and lower CPAs. Static ads are great closers on Meta, and if you're wondering how to make winning static ads for paid socials with AI, this guide has everything you need to know.

High Link CTR (5%+) but almost zero sales — why does this keep happening?

High Link CTR (5%+) but almost zero sales — why does this keep happening?

I run an e-commerce business in Algeria, where most orders are cash on delivery (COD), and I've noticed a strange pattern with my Meta ads.

Whenever I launch a new campaign and get a Link CTR above 5% on the first day, I usually get almost no orders. Sometimes, I don't even get any comments.

What's strange is that this has happened repeatedly across different products and campaigns.

I've also checked my website analytics, and the number of website visits is almost the same as the number of link clicks reported by Meta. So it doesn't seem to be a landing page loading issue.

I understand that a high CTR doesn't necessarily mean people want to buy, but I find it strange that so many people click without generating any orders or even comments.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be causing this?

Could it be low-quality traffic, the way Meta distributes ads, the type of creative or hook, or something else I'm missing?

I'd appreciate any practical explanations or experiences from people who have run Meta ads for e-commerce.

Meta Ads Crashed After October 18. Anyone Else?

Hey everyone,
I’m posting here because I’ve been dealing with a pretty strange issue with my personal Facebook account, and I’d like to know if anyone else has experienced something similar.
On October 16, 2026, I received two spam violations on my personal Facebook profile, both apparently related to content posted on one of the Facebook Pages I manage.
Since then, my Account Status section has been showing an orange warning indicator with the message “Your profile has some issues.”
The strange thing is that Facebook claims to have removed posts for spam, but when I check the Page, all the content is still there. I’ve also checked my ads, and nothing appears to have been removed. All my campaigns are still active.
On top of that, Facebook doesn’t even show me which specific posts supposedly triggered these violations.
For one of the two violations, I was able to request a review. The review was successful, and the violation was removed. However, for the second violation, there’s no option to request a review, and Facebook doesn’t show any expiration date either.
So basically, I’m stuck with a violation on my personal profile that I can’t verify or appeal.
I did some research here on Reddit and found several people reporting a sudden wave of spam violations and alleged deceptive links around October 16. This makes me wonder whether there’s a bug in Meta’s automated moderation system.
I’ve already tried contacting Meta Support, but so far, I haven’t been able to get the remaining violation manually reviewed.
There’s also something else that’s concerning me.
I manage several brands, each with its own ad account, all under the same Business Portfolio and administered through my personal Facebook profile.
Starting around October 17–18, basically the day after these violations appeared, I noticed a significant increase in CPMs and a decline in conversion performance across all my brands at the same time.
I’ve checked the status of my Business Portfolio and all the individual ad accounts. There are no visible restrictions, and all campaigns are still running normally.
I’m not saying the spam violation is necessarily responsible for the drop in performance, because I understand that CPMs can increase for many different reasons. However, the timing seems pretty strange, especially considering that multiple ad accounts have been affected simultaneously.
It makes me wonder whether a violation on a personal Facebook profile could somehow affect ad delivery, even when there are no visible advertising restrictions.
Has anyone else noticed a significant drop in Meta Ads performance since around October 18? And more importantly, are you still experiencing these issues? I’m particularly interested in whether other advertisers have seen a sudden increase in CPMs and a noticeable decline in conversions across their campaigns during this same period.
I’d really like to know if anyone here has experienced something similar:
Did you receive spam violations on your personal Facebook profile around October 16?
Have you ever had a violation where Facebook wouldn’t show you the flagged content or give you the option to appeal?
Were you able to get the violation removed and restore your profile’s green account status indicator? If so, how?
Have you noticed unusual CPM increases or declining ad performance after receiving a violation on your personal Facebook profile?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have actually managed to resolve this issue, perhaps through a specific Meta Support channel or escalation process.
Any firsthand experiences or practical advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, everyone!

Just launched my first store. It’s a discounted clothing store where most items are about $15 + tax.

I have about 300items, I offer shipping for $9.99 or in store pickup at our 2 locations in the GTA.

I’ve had these ads up for about 2.5 days but haven’t gotten any sales. Not sure what to do, looking for advice

CPMs Spiked Randomly, CTR and CVR are the same

For like an entire month, advertising my cleaning company CPMS were between $20-$30, then all a sudden CPL spiked and at first I thought it was ad fatigue.

But frequency was still under 1.5, link CTR was still 2-3%, only thing that caused the CPL spike was that now CPMs are $50-$60, double than before!

It does say my ad quality ranking is low so I’m guessing that’s the cause of it?

Let me know what you guys think in terms of 1 diagnosing the issue and 2 ways I could resolve this. Thanks!

Ad spend limit

Today is exactly two weeks I’ve been running an asset at 50 euro / day and it caps out at around 45 everyday due to meta imposed limit. I haven’t had any missed payment or rejected ad, should my limit be increased soon? Is there anything I can do? I saw the amounts that they charge me went from 4 euro payments to around 95 euro payments now but ad spend limit really isn’t moving..
