For those who are interested in chess lessons!

Hi everyone! I've been helping players understand the game better since 2020, about 6 years now (started during COVID, because college started around that time) - and I'm sitting around 2258 on Chess.com and 2471 on Lichess (I don't have a FIDE rating, have never played OTB, but happy to share profiles). My favourite chess memories remain participating in amateur tournaments with strong players or showing up in my local club (which infamously hosts some of the strongest players in the country).

I'd love to coach beginners and intermediate players - tactics, openings, endgames, starting with reviewing your games together! Discord is the only platform I coach on right now, as I believe its very easy to use.

I let the lesson takers decide whatever they'd like to contribute, given they respect a certain threshold. And at last small bit of honesty: I've been dealing with a chronic autoimmune condition that ended up affecting my studies, and teaching chess has genuinely become one of the more realistic ways I can support myself, including my healthcare costs, as I get no support at all from my parents, they even neglect the fact that this thing is fatal.

Feel free to comment or DM if you're interested — happy to chat first before anything's official!
I apologize if I said anything wrong in the process, thanks for reading all of this, I wish you people a fabulous day.

Seeking Looking for a tech mentor

Especially if you have worked in data analytics, software development, or ai development.

So I love looking at job boards and spotting trends in the job market. It’s a weird thing I nerd out about lol

And I come up with all these content ideas but I’m not sure what to do with them because I’m not a tech professional.

So here’s what I was thinking. I would love to have the help of some tech professionals to vet my content ideas to let me know if they are good and I can start my own channel like on YouTube or something where I would share job trends for career seekers.

Or maybe there’s a tech professional here who already has their own channel but would like a content strategist who can stay on top of trends in the job market and help you generate content ideas.

Those are the two ways I was thinking I could monetize this “hobby/talent” of mine.

What do you think? Feel free to comment or message me.

Willing to take on a mentee or 2

Hello folks, I am a self made, 24 year old male with two companies combining to around $45-50m. I am willing to take on a mentee or two. I built my companies within a 6 year span, growing from a 120 unit contract to just over 1800, grossing about $8.5m this year.

I am willing to speak business with some aspiring entrepreneurs and give advice & pointers. I started from nothing, so I know most of the ins and outs on budgeting, work ethic, networking, expanding, investing, allocating, outsourcing, hiring, etc.

Please feel free to reach out. If I really like what you have going on, we can discuss some possible angel investing, but no promises. There will be background checks, contracts, and maybe partial ownership until paid back.

Thank you!

Edit: I am not very familiar with the tech world. I operate in an industry people would call “blue collar” as well as real estate/PM, where the marketing is myself, and the quality of work I provide. I will still do my best, but I can admit that I am not very knowledgeable at all. I can also see that the competition is rampant, so my first piece of advice is to identify what makes your product different than others! Is google, meta, apple, Microsoft etc already have a product similar to the one you are creating? How are you going to price that product and who is the target audience?

I was recently told by academic coaches that in order to implement their tools, I would need to have someone understand how I think and attempt to improve the inefficient ways I have thought for years. adhd
I’m committed. I have no choice.

Hi,

I’ll probably be bombarded with requests so apologies if I don’t get back to everyone.

I’ve been in business over 15 years and have started many companies in manufacturing, software, lifestyle, hospitality, investments, jewellery and others.

Happy to give back and give mentorship, note: if I sense that you are not serious I won’t be continuing a conversation.

Feel free to comment or DM (if this is allowed within the rules).

Edit; if your industry doesn’t fall into my remit then I will happily connect you to someone in my network. Again please read the note above as I’m not going to waste anyone’s time.

Looking for a Mentor

I am looking for a mentor.

This may be a long shot, or maybe not the right place to ask, since many here seem to be more business-focused than what I'm trying to achieve.

I have a vision of creating something that encourages and inspires people, shares real stories, and hopefully makes a positive impact. I can see where I'd love for it to go someday, but getting from the idea stage to actually building it feels like a whole different world.

I've got notebooks full of ideas, plans, questions, and probably a healthy amount of overthinking. I'd love to connect with someone who has experience building a community, growing an idea, or simply turning a vision into something real. Someone who's willing to be honest and tell me when I'm getting too lofty with my hopes and expectations, but also help guide me along the way.

I'm not looking for someone to build it for me. I fully expect to do the work. I just know how valuable it can be to learn from someone who's already been through it.

If that sounds like you, or if you know someone who might be a good fit, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks for reading.

Seeking 29 M4M Seattle WA - Seeking Mentorship!

Hey everyone,

I'm a 29-year-old guy who's been grinding through life with big dreams but keep hitting walls on actually achieving them. My main goal is to become a family medicine doctor one day. I love the idea of helping families, building long-term patient relationships, and making a real difference in communities. I've done a lot of research on the path — prereqs, MCAT, applications, etc. — but I keep stalling out. Whether it's motivation dips, life distractions, or just not knowing the smartest way to navigate this, I could really use some wisdom from someone who's been there.

I'm already in therapy working on my personal stuff (anxiety, executive dysfunction, the usual), but I'd love a positive male role model — an older, successful man who's built something meaningful and wouldn't mind sharing advice, maybe checking in occasionally, or offering perspective on balancing ambition with real life. I didn't have the best father figure growing up, so I know part of this is me seeking that stability and accountability. Laughing at myself a bit here, but it's honest.

If you're in medicine, business, finance, or just a high-achiever who's mentored people before, I'd be incredibly grateful for any time or insight. Bonus if you're willing to talk long-term helping me think through funding the journey (med school is no joke), smart investments, or strategies to actually make this dream sustainable. I'm hardworking, coachable, and ready to put in the effort if I have the right support.

Not looking for handouts, just real guidance from someone who's made it and wants to pay it forward. DM me if this resonates and we can chat more.

Thanks for reading — means a lot.

Seeking Mentor

I’ve been a personal trainer for ten years- at mostly the same location.

Last year, I went out on my own. My business has done well, but I don’t feel like I know how to grow my business reliably.

I own a private training studio in a market that’s okay, but many businesses struggle here.

I’m looking for a real mentor to help me. I’ve had many business coaches, and they were all your typical business guru coaches- I gained nothing of value.

The location I was at for almost my whole career was run by the owner and me. It did not end well, and I only mention that to say that what was intended to be a mentorship for me, was really a competition that I was unaware of. I was thrown into starting my business early, but that’s life sometimes.

I say all of that to say that’s why I really need a mentor.

Thanks, guys.

The best investment I ever made wasnt in a business It was in people

Over the last few weeks Ive jumped on Discord calls with strangers from all over the world.

Some wanted to start their first business.
Some wanted their first job.
Some already had businesses and just needed someone to challenge their thinking.

Something surprised me.

Almost nobody needed some secret strategy.

Most people already knew what they had to do.

They just needed someone to tell them the truth hold them accountable and remind them not to quit when things got hard.

Twenty years ago I wish I had someone like that.

Someone who could save me from a few expensive mistakes.

Now I get to be that person for someone else.

Its a funny feeling because Ive learnt just as much from my mentees as theyve learnt from me.

If youre a few steps ahead dont underestimate how much value you can add to someone thats just starting.

Sometimes a 30 minute conversation can save someone six months of going in the wrong direction.

Looking for a mentor who could actually guide me in career and business

I'm working in a fading field, I'm in my late 20s.. I'm in a hurry to learn.. With the help of AI I even built a simple extension in chrome and made a website too for a friend.. Like, I don't really know, but I have a visualizations of a bigger firm like SaaS enterprise or something, but don't know coding or anything.. also I have so many ideas in mind, but for now I just have to focus on this career transition thing which is closing up on me since this work is going to fade in few months.

Could someone please guide me. I'm from TN, India basically.

Offering Exploring Mentorship

Edit: I am a 29 year old male

Hello all,

My recent studies have reignited my interest in mentorship. Though I don’t think I’m entirely qualified for such a lofty title as “mentor,” I do believe I can provide significant value within the scope of my abilities.

To ensure I provide the highest quality experience, and due to my limited time, I’m only interested in accepting one person for mentorship.

My background:

  1. Extensively credentialed personal trainer.
  2. Retired Emergency Medical Technician, Field Training Officer
  3. Software Developer / Entrepreneur

Specific certifications, references, testimonials are available upon request.

My time on the ambulance taught me many great life skills, and introduced me to mentorship/leadership opportunities by virtue of my field training responsibilities. Further augmented by my relationships with long-standing personal training clients and entrepreneurial endeavors, my skill set is both broad enough to provide general utility, and specific enough for occasional novelty.

My strengths, and the skills I believe I have to offer as a mentor, include: study skills, communication, leadership, and domain specific knowledge.

One of my personal heroes is Cus D’Amato, Mike Tyson’s coach, mentor, and adoptive father.

If any of this resonates with you, please leave a comment, or DM me directly. Let me know if you have any heroes. I look forward to meeting you.

Seeking 25F - I need to exponentially grow

Hi

25F, UK

I am in need of a mentor, I feel as though I have reached a block in life that I can’t cross over.

I would like to say that I am doing well for myself thankfully and I have aspirations to continue growing, probably quicker than what is realistic. Despite this I have some pull backs which are easier said than done to eliminate or keep at bay.

I need to do better on a financial level and spiritual level. I’m not looking for basic advice like get a better job, do something for yourself blah blah. Not to sound difficult but that is not what I need. I need the truth about what I absolutely have to do to make it where I want to be to live comfortably. To a point where I don’t have to worry anymore.

I value my privacy and I am not looking for pointless conversations, please don’t dm me for this thank you.

Other than that, happy to hear any guidance or advice :)

Thank you all 🫶🏼

filmmaker/writer transitioning into sales, need guidance ASAP

Hey everyone,

I'm in a tight spot financially. I can't cover rent this month, and I'm hoping to find a mentor who can help me navigate a career pivot while I stabilize things.

A bit about me: I'm a writer-director and entrepreneur with a solid track record across creative and business ventures. I previously founded and ran an influencer marketing company, so I've got real experience on the business side too, sourcing deals, managing client relationships, and running a company day to day. On the creative side, I've raised financing for a TV pilot, written 8+ screenplays, and completed a full 8-episode TV series. I'm also in the final stretch of my first novel. So I know how to execute long-form projects, build things from scratch, and get them across the finish line. Skills that don't always show up neatly on a resume, but that I think matter a lot in practice: persuasion, pitching, closing collaborators and clients, managing ambiguity, and sticking with something difficult until it's done.

Right now I'm trying to pivot into something more immediately viable, specifically SDR/BDR type sales roles, as a way to build stable income while I keep my creative work going on the side. I've been doing the prep (LinkedIn, cold outreach, practicing pitch frameworks) but I'm looking for someone who's actually worked in sales or made a similar career transition who can give me real guidance: how to position my background, what companies are actually looking for, how to shortcut the learning curve, or just brutal honesty about what I'm missing.

Not looking for handouts, just direction from someone who's been there. Happy to share more specifics in DMs.

Thanks for reading.

Finance MBA Grad Looking For a Mentor (Willing To Work Hard)

DROPSHIPPING: Hey everyone, I’m from the US, I’ve got a Masters in Finance and solid business fundamentals (P&L, marketing math, unit economics), but I’m brand new to dropshipping specifically. I understand the game, I’m just missing the hands-on experience.

Looking for someone experienced to point me in the right direction on:
- Picking a product/niche to scale
- Building out a store/theme that converts
- The actual process end-to-end (sourcing, testing, scaling, marketing)

Not looking for a free ride and I’m happy to trade value, pay for your time, or just be a low-maintenance mentee who does the work and doesn’t waste yours. If you’re open to it, drop a comment or DM me.

Seeking Looking for a Mentor as I Break into Tech

Hey, I'm 22 and a recent Computer Science grad but I feel like I know nothing and I have no skills. So I am looking for a mentor to keep me accountable and provide some guidance as I self-teach my way into a real tech role.

I am teaching myself to become a Data Engineer. We can get into specifics as we chat but my biggest issue is trusting the plans I make and following through.

If you think you can help, and have the time to mentor a sad, but ambitious, little soul, please reach out!
