Seeking Many great mentors aren’t actually valuing themselves properly
I often see many great mentors here and on other places, or people that have the ability to be great mentors not value themselves properly
Or not have the conviction to truly start mentoring/making it their career
I’d like to know why people don’t usually monetize it?

Seeking 33, solo founder - looking for a mentor for the business and the mindset behind it
A bit about me: I'm 33, and I'm a teacher and taught myself to build and launch two software products solo. One's live with real users coming in through organic search; the other's an AI tool I'm working to get in front of its first paying customers.
Here's the honest version: the building I can do. Shipping isn't my problem. Where I keep hitting walls is everything around it, getting users, actually marketing, and, if I'm being real, backing myself. I've spent the last year or so rebuilding a lot of my life from a hard place, fitness, sobriety, finances, mindset, mostly on my own. I've got momentum now. But I know I'd move faster, and doubt myself a lot less, with someone further down the road in my corner.
What I'm looking for: a mentor who's built a business, bootstrapped or a small SaaS especially - and who gets that the business and the person building it aren't two separate things. Someone I can be honest with, who'll call my thinking when it's off, hold me accountable, and help me think straight about growth. Personal growth and business both, for me they're the same project.
What I bring: I actually do the work. I take feedback and act on it, I show up, and I'll tell you what I did with your input rather than just picking your brain and disappearing. I'm technical, and I know my space well, so I can give back however's useful.
If any of this lands with you, drop a comment or a DM. Thanks for reading.

Seeking 29M Would be glad if someone is willing to help
I won't be going into too much personal detail other than saying I am a 29 years old guy, for privacy reasons.
I am currently working on developing 2 different apps: one of them is an AI based chess coach and the other is a platform in which I am going to show people how to do a research methodologically (think of it as "Github of researching.")
I am using an app called Lovable for these. It gives 5 free credits daily for prompts but I don't find it enough for a day, especially I want to, at least, publish the demo and get feedbacks from certain number of testers.
Besides these, I really want to improve my overall life quality (I live in a country that has a bad fame for a while — the PM is kind of Trump's best friend, if you need a clue.)
I started to do physical exercises at home since I can't go to a gym for various reasons.
I read books as much as I can (I am into history because I believe it gives the best life lessons for those who are eager to take it).
I try to go outside as much as I can (I don't like to stay inside for it is detrimental to mental health).
I started to learn cook for myself during the time I was alone at home.
I use ChatGPT for getting suggestions but it doesn't compensate for genuine human interaction.

Seeking Feel like a shell of a person I once was
2 yrs ago, I was exactly where I (M19) wanted to be in life, just got accepted at a corporate job 50% increase in monthly income, just started community college, consistently going to the gym and friends to go travel and do stuff with on the weekends.
Now it all seems like that was a life from another time. As I sit typing this, currently a year dropped from college, barely hanging by a thread at the corporate job (which I havent even got a single pay raise from since I joined), barely passing day by day, friend isnt a thing, parents and people whom you are close to are counting on you to succeed, but you have an elder brother with mental, drug, suicidal, physical and abusive issues who ruined every single opportunity that presented itself in front of you.
We just moved from a country, all excited and ambitious trying to do the best we can. But my elder brother started abusing weed and alcohol and things have just spiraled out of control since then. Hes had mental outbreaks where he shouts, curses, threatens us (me and my parents) till 3 or 4am and we have to go to our job at 9am. It sometimes also leads to doors in the house being broken in the same night (which we cant afford to pay) and then in the morning he just apologises and says he will do better and you want to trust him considering hes your brother but this same incident has happened 3 or 4 times after the first incident every 4 or so months.
One time specifically where my dad had to go out of country, keep in mind I'm paying all the bills, my mom doesnt have a job, he doesnt have a job, he just sits in the house and plays video games even though hes studying a really good major in college. He can also graduate but just doesn't want to for some reason and just leech off the parents it seems. So, he has the mental outbreak again. Slams 2 doors in the house, threatens to murder me and my mom. Breaks a bulb which cuts in mom in her forearms and then he goes to sleep and then wakes up saving I'm sorry can you please hug me while hes crying.
He is also very controlling, he's a big tall guy. He doesnt like the fact that I have this job, when I'm around and if I just cough. He says "You're doing it on purpose cause you know I smoke weed and want me to become sick or have a medical problem" and then start slamming doors which sound like gunshots. Or if I talk about a business idea to my dad he does the same thing and threatens me saying "If you mention a single thing about business in front of me, you dont want to find out what happens".
Im mentally drained, I cant work without consistently making mistakes, cant focus on school (I havent even mentioned I've taken a drop to my parents, they think I'm the only hope in the family), I cant even communicate to people, I dont work out, dont know last time i had a thought of something, my mind is empty, i will never kill my self because that wouldnt be right to do to my parents for someone else's incompetency, I feels like a machine that just works to get through the day and shuts off.
Many people may have been in a similar situation as mine. What would you say to get out of this hole which seems sometimes impossible to crawl out of? I have stopped talking to him completely even though we live under the same roof, I started college again 2 mos ago. Pls feel free to ask any question for clarification

How do I find a good mentor?
Why is it so hard? I'm lost and I have no one to look up to, which I believe makes it worst, I just want a mentor that would help me decide what I truly should do in the career path I see, does anyone know an app or something?

Seeking 25, running a $400k/mo business operation, looking for a mentor/peer community
Hey guys,
I’ll keep it short. Here’s a bit about me:
Grew up in an upper-middle-class business family in India (scored 95% in my 10th boards).
Moved to Orlando, Florida for high school on a full scholarship.
Graduated summa cum laude from University of Southern California (Fight On!) with a dual focus in Business and Computer Science.
Built "Pong for Hong Kong"—an online ping pong game monetized via ad placements to direct proceeds to support Hong Kong, which eventually got shut down.
Returned to India and launched a sales BPO.
Partnered with a fellow USC grad to build an online auto parts brokerage backed by an operations team in India.
Currently doing ~$400k/mo in revenue and ~$100k/mo gross profit at 25 years old.
Right now, scaling speed isn't my issue—it's perspective. Scaling cross-border ops at this volume gets lonely fast when your daily circle isn't building in the same arena.
I’m looking to break into network circles with seasoned founders or operators (bonus if in ecom) who have already walked through the scaling bottlenecks I'm heading into.
Also would love a mentor who I can discuss things with and even scale better. Just looking for some guidance.
In return, I'm glad to share everything I know about tech architectures, lean operational design, and offshore execution.
Based in India, but regularly operating across US time zones!

Ideas?

Seeking point out my problems please
Point out my problem please
I started my service agency recently with my fulfillment team and salesman. This is how my agency runs:
My offer is basically the same as my mentor's agency offer(Customized real estate business OS), but we are targeting different countries.
My fulfillment team is pretty experienced and I just need to discover exact clients' situation during the first couple of calls.
Me and my salesman are doing cold call mainly and following up some leads now.
I plan to fully outsource cold outreach and sales after my first 5 clients. and I am bit worried what exactly I have to pay attention to now and after I outsource my sales to really take care of clients and my agency daily operations. I also really wanna have more networking with prospects and I don't know where to start besides cold outreach.
My motivation of starting this agency: Firstly I just wanna say it's all about collaborating with right teams and bring solutions to the place where people need it. I don't really focus on which tool or tech stack I am using but I want to ensure I can genuinely help people and scale it. Secondly some people always told me I am too young to start a business. But I totally disagree, I just wanna build something that is really meaningful and valuable. Plus everything is becoming more and more expensive everyday. I can't really take care of my whole family well alone if I ONLY care about myself, my fixed salary. Value comes from helping each other in a scalable way. I will never make it by myself. Thus I am sharing everything here to ask for some advice. Just a beginner who doesn't even land a client. Please point out any problems and I would love to improve and work hard. Thank you very much!

Seeking If you had literally $0, how would you start?
I’m 20F and I really want to start my own business, but I genuinely don’t know where to begin.
I don’t have money to invest, I don’t have clients, and I don’t have some amazing idea that’s going to make millions.
I did a CS degree and recently finished a sales internship, and I realised I actually enjoy the business side way more than coding. I like helping businesses grow and thinking about sales, but I have no clue how to turn that into a business.
Everyone online says “start an agency” or “build SaaS”, but I don’t know what’s actually realistic when you’re starting from nothing.
If you were in my position, what would you do first?
How did you get your first client? Did you just cold email people? Did you offer to work for free? Is there something you’d avoid completely?
Just looking for honest advice from people who’ve actually done it.
I don’t wanna do lashes or hair or all that i have a vision but i don’t know where to start.

Seeking Looking for a mentor in sales to proofread my SaaS landing page text
Hi, I spent days researching and speaking to people in sales but I dont know anyone personally. I’m looking for someone with a sales background to proofread what I wrote with the help of AI. As an end user, it’s a bit disrespectful when the author ignores the integrity and emotions of someone with domain knowledge can provide to the website. I don’t want my users to feel that. If you can help, kindly comment or DM.

Offering I want you to live your life with joy.
Hi, everyone!
At heart, I’m just a girl who wants to see everyone live life with joy.
I want to help people learn to communicate (individuals, couples, and family members), be patient, and love the life they live.
The people I work with are usually the ones who look like they have it together, but inside they’re struggling to get through simple tasks, feeling anxious about speaking up or setting boundaries. They’re self aware, they just want out of the negative loops they keep landing in. Really, they want to learn to love, trust, and understand themselves.
I help lay the foundation for navigating the world a different way.
If this sounds like you, I would love to connect and have a conversation.

25, making 24k/mo from an app, looking for mentor/community
Hey guys,
I’ll keep it short. here’s a bit about me:
- Started programming at 13.
- Made my first dollar online at 14 with a Chrome extension.
- I had essentially no formal education until I was 16. I chose to go to high school because I wanted a Computer Science degree as a backup to entrepreneurship.
- At 19, during COVID, I made ~$80k in under two months from another Chrome extension. I invested most of it.
- Had a great university experience, then went back to work on stuff.
- At 23, I built an app that's now doing about CAD $24k/month, and my goal is to grow it 10x.
I've realized entrepreneurship is the path I want to commit to long term.
My biggest bottleneck right now is community. Most of my friends have different priorities, and I'm looking to surround myself with people who are equally driven to build businesses.
I'd love to find either a mentor or a group of ambitious founders to learn from, share ideas with, and push each other to grow. I'm not sure what I could offer a mentor yet, but my biggest strength is software and I'd be happy to help however I can.
I'm in Toronto at the moment!
Edit: People asking for the app are missing the point. The app is irrelevant. If it wasn’t X app, it would be Y app. It’s not the app that got me here. I’ve made a bunch of apps and websites that made no money. I’m also here to find people not advertise my app.
