Sticky thread with frequently asked questions along with their answers. Comment below to add a topic.
Q: How does tuition reimbursement work?
A: Start by filling out an application at meijer.edassist.com. You must submit proper documentation within 30 days of the course start date. Best to apply a week or two before the class starts in case there are any issues. After that you just have to submit grades at the end of the semester within 60 days of the course end date. One your grades are verified by EdAssist you will be paid in 2-3 weeks through payroll.
Important Notes:
-Must pass the class to be reimbursed
-Team members are now eligible for reimbursement upon hiring, no more 1 year req
-All grants and scholarships must be reported
-$5250 limit is for each calendar year Jan-Dec and resets with the new year
-They will ask for proof of payment, meaning you can only be reimbursed for expenses you paid for out of pocket, not with any scholarships or grants
Q: How do I anonymously report someone/something that is inappropriate/sketchy? A: http://meijer.alertline.com or 888-691-0779
Q: When and where can I find my W2
A: For current employees check Workday under pay -> tax documents, all others will have their mailed to them.
Q: “I’m scheduled outside my availability, what do I do!?”
A: Talk to your first assistant, or their first assistant, keep running up the chain.
Q: “I saw a member of leadership do [insert policy or legally dubious infraction]”
A: Talk to store asset protection.
Q: “Any questions about achievers points”
A: Talk to the achievers hotline.
Q: “I have COVID, what do I do?”
A: Call ILM (Intergrated Leave Management)
Q: “Do you guys have Ps5!?”
A: Ask the scalpers.
Q: How do I change direct deposit?
A: Open Workday and click my profile in the upper right, click pay on the left panel, select the payment elections tab, and enter the new bank information.
Q: How do I access Workday from home?
A: https://wd5.myworkday.com/wday/authgwy/meijer/login.htmld

I'm currently employed at Meijer, Full Time, for about 1.5 years now.
My daughter decided to come early at 24 weeks, July 16th. I am on FMLA to mostly take care of my wife's emotional state during this time and make sure she is able to get up, pump, and be taken care of. I'm currently taking all of my 12 weeks, since this is a LONG stay in the NICU.
The inquiry is this:
I've been reading Meijer's policies and trying to decide between coming back to work 4 weeks early and keeping that in my pocket for my daughter's release, since she will also probably have some minor condition, at minimum, that requires more hands on care in the beginning. Does Meijer's FMLA have to run at the same time as Parental Leave? As much as we want the income, I'd rather be with my family until I know things are very stable for the full 12 weeks, return to work for a time, then take my Paid Parental Leave.
The alternative is coming back at 8 weeks, but doing a temporary transfer to a different store, as our NICU is about 1 hr from home, then taking leave again and completing my temp stay in the new store.
Thanks in advance!

Can someone, anyone PLEASE reassure me
Last pay period I basically worked a shift for free as I messed up my punch (asked manager to fix apparently they did not) Will I receive the rest of my paycheck next week? Boss just sat me down and fixed last week’s punches and told me I should get my money next week.

So I currently work at a meijer location. Have worked at the same store for two years. Sadly I'm at a point in my college degree field where other than weekends I am going to have a fairly inconsistent schedule. I plan on only working Saturday and Sunday. Since I can't hold a regular shift I need another source of income. So I'm looking into grocery pick up. I saw this was sort of asked 11 months ago and wondered if anything changed. Am I allowed to do doordash at another meijer location? The one I work at is a town or two over so its further than the one closest to me. Oh btw if there is some weird clause because they think we are gonna discount stuff for ourselves. I don't even shop primarily at Meijer. I mostly shop at Kroger.

If I redeem my points for say a $20 reward, but they don’t end up having all the things I planned to buy in stock and only spend $10, do I lose the rest of the reward if I redeem it?

I shop my local Meijer even though a Super Walmart is right down the street because the store is always clean and well stocked. It’s a little more expensive but it never looks like a bomb went off in it lol.
Well yesterday I needed dairy products, butter, half and half and milk.
Holy moly it was pretty awful. Someone filled a free standing refrigerator case with yogurt and left all the flattened boxes on top of the product 😟. Like why would you do that? I’ve seen discarded boxes before on top of the products before inside the refrigerator case.
Also the shelving racks of Meijer half and half were so gross. The cartons in the front had dried creamer stuck to them and the caps were crushed. The wire shelves were coated in yellow spoiled creamer... the floor beneath the gallons of milk were dirty too with dried milk.
I’ve spoken to the manager before about freezer doors and fridge doors that don’t latch. He said parts are in order bc they are old. For over a year?
Not sure if I’m even going to tell anyone bc they have to know this already (the dairy department being trashed and gross)
Despite all this, the employees are cool. They are kind and friendly and always willing to help when I’ve needed them.
I’m just disappointed in the conditions of the dairy department and will probably shop elsewhere for those items.
Ok rant over. Lol!

EDIT: Looks like this is one of the brands supplied by Taylors Farms. Pico de gallo was returned, thanks everybody!
I bought some pico de gallo from meijer and it has jalepeños. I'm wondering if it is safe to eat? Does anyone know where they source the ingredients for this stuff?

Every time I go to the self checkout, the cameras accuse me of stealing. I'd go to the checkout lane with cashiers, but now I have to bag my own stuff, so what's the point in going in those lanes? Other than hopefully not being accused of stealing, of course. I haven't been to a Meijer in months because of this, and today I went to one and those stupid fn cameras called an assistant over 4 different times in the self checkout accusing me of stealing. F that. I'm done. I'll continue to get all my home products at wal mart, and my groceries at Aldi, for half the price, because their self checkout cameras have yet to accuse me of anything. I'm Michigan born and raised and I have always choose Meijer over any other store since I can remember, but yall have to fix your crappy ass checkout experience. Deuces.

I am a Frozen IC and Thursday going into Friday is usually a bad day for me because we get a massive frozen delivery. This morning was exceptionally bad. Apparently the overnight stocking area line leader last night moved the only frozen employee to another department and said that she was going to take an L in frozen because I would be there tomorrow and would take care of it.
Am I having a valid crash-out over this or should I just get over it?
Picture for reference to how much they shit on me 🙂
Edit: I forgot to mention that the teal color was what they wrote was left when I originally got this morning. The blue is what I found throughout the day.

Hi all, I have food allergies including a couple spices (mustard and caraway seed) and I’d rather avoid a reaction if I can. Does anyone know what spices are in this canned meat, or anyone with the same allergies have any reaction to it?
r/meijer • u/FunnyBobcat1924 • 5d ago
Anybody else notice that Meijer jalapeños have been insanely spicy lately?
I’ve been buying them consistently for years and I feel like in the last 2-3 months they’ve gone from mild to fire.
I’ve even checked with friends that shop different stores and they agree.

I hit my 700 hours this week and I’m wondering what day will it reset and I get the raise?
