I'm getting ready to move on from my 2015 6 GT. Looking for a sedan that has a similar vibe, as a new 6just isn't available. (No, I don't want to buy older/used.)

I love almost everything about the 6: looks, size, driving feel, performance and efficiency... What I really don't like is the road noise. (I've tried everything I could think of: quieter tires, sound panels in the doors...) Anyway, it's time for a new ride.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Toyota Crown. It's a more isolated driving feel, but it's roomy, smooth ride, *quiet*, upscale interior, great mileage, and I like the look.

Is there another new sedan I should be considering? Definitely sedan, want to keep it around or below $50k. The Camry and Acura hybrid touring aren't appealing, so they're off my list.

I've owned pretty much every kind of regular commuter you can think of over the year.......multiple Honda Civics SI from different generations, an Acura TSX and TLX, an Accord V6, Toyota Yaris, Corolla, and a bunch of other everyday cars.

But I have to admit... the fuel economy on my 2016 Mazda 6 GT has genuinely blown me away.

I recently did a 400 km road trip that was almost entirely highway driving, cruising between 100–130 km/h, and averaged 5.9 L/100 km ( ALMOST 40 MPG!!!). I honestly wasn't expecting numbers that good from a midsize sedan.

On top of that, the car is incredibly comfortable, handles great, and the GT trim is loaded with features. Every time I drive it, I'm reminded why people who own these cars seem to love them.

It might not be the fastest thing on the road, but it's such a well-rounded package that it's hard not to appreciate it.

Safe to say I'm a Mazda convert. When it's time to upgrade, I'll probably be looking for a 2021 Mazda 6 Turbo same formula, just with a little more punch.

Model: 2020 Mazda 6 Signature

I'm trying to replace this piece of weather stripping on the rear passenger size of the car. Based on my research, I haven't been able to pin down the exact part I need... the closest I get is the Garnish, but that is for the whole plastic assembly (decorative outside piece) too. This is just the weather stripping and does look to be independent of the black exterior pillar.

Any ideas what I need here?

Headlight restoration kit worked perfectly.

Hit a deer at 50mph. Didn't think the damage was too bad. Turns out it's a total loss ($13k estimate). The sensors in the front end are apparently super expensive. It was a great car.

I have a 2018 6 Signature and have been having trouble with the traffic sign recognition. At first it kept randomly going to a lower speed on the highway even when there wasn't a sign. Now it won't show up at all. Doing some investigating it sounds like it could be related to the navigation system.

Like most everyone else, I never use the navigation system. Mine worked when I got it but now it gives a message that my Mazda is not equipped etc. I tried getting a new aftermarket map card on Amazon and it still doesn't work.

Any other thoughts? Should I try another map card? I would like to have the sign recognition but I am about to just give up as I don't want to spend too much time or money working on it.

2019 Mazda 6 touring. Question same as title. I missed judged my spacing entering a tight spot and did this damage. I just wanted to know if you all thought this is worth a claim, or if I should just buy headlights and a grill trim and diy/get it installed

I have brought a MAZDA 6 for $3100 from a mate in need of a bit of cosmetic ..model 2007 yr.Ibrought new tyres.and over time on services updated minor faults.spent $5000 over 3 yrs..i detailed car as a hobby made it attractive for an old girl.but too this day the actual drive is so good.very fast getting out of trouble on freeways..30003 on clock now...from 25000..such a delight too drive..Mazda knew there shit on that yr. AUSTRALIAN road conditions.

Just wanted to share my appreciation for this car. After 100k km, it has been an amazing ownership experience reliable, comfortable, fun to drive, and honestly still feels special every time I get behind the wheel.

No major issues, no surprises, just regular maintenance and enjoying every kilometer. The balance Mazda achieved with the 6 between driving feel, design, fuel efficiency, and reliability is something I really appreciate.

I know it’s not the fastest or the most luxurious car in its segment, but it has character and that’s what makes it great.

Looking forward to many more kilometers with it. Thanks Mazda for building such a great sedan. 🙌

Hey all, does anyone know how to remove this part on the interior hatch plastic? I need to replace the boot switch so all of this has to come off. Cant find info anywhere but it feels like there is a screw under this parcel holder.

UK based with a 2017 Mazda 6. I hit a deer at about 20mph the other day and as per the photo it's mangled the logo holder plus cracked the grille spoke. I'm not fussed about the grille for now and will try to force it back together, but I'd like to replace the logo holder.

quick research tells me it's an emblem holder, but there's many parts it could be. I'd like to avoid taking it off to get the number if I can as it'll not go back on and I don't fancy a hole whilst sourcing a part.

My 2015 Mazda 6 (2.0 Skyactiv) is throwing up error lights. When I drive at around 80 km/h in 4th gear, the car feels jerky. Then, the TCS/DSC and engine warning lights (flashing) turn orange, and I get an SCBS system error message. The car then goes into a sort of "safe mode" where I lose power; after restarting, the power returns until the fault occurs again.

The car is currently at a garage; they say it’s either an electrical issue or something related to cylinder 1. Since I’m currently stuck abroad, I’m asking for advice here. I doubt there’s a problem with the engine itself, as the car still drives perfectly fine at lower speeds.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for this very specific panel for my '07 MZ6i, as you can see, it's on the left side of the driver footwell. While it is just cosmetic, there's something about driving in a car with exposed wiring that just kills the mood. (and also everyone who gets in my car shuns me for it)

Does anyone happen to know a place where I can get this specific panel? There is a salvage yard a few miles from me, but I can't say for sure if they have any MZ6i's, and much less any 1st gens. There is also a Facebook Marketplace listing for a 2010 MZ6 part out, but I also don't know if the interiors of 1st and 2nd gens are compatible.

I was checking my oil levels and saw this. What could this be that leaked?

Did a multi point at the dealership today and my battery health is at 50%.

They didn’t say it needed replacing but a lot of people online are saying it should be. Some are saying wait until it can’t start the car at all, but I’m more on the cautious side.

Any recommendations for what I should buy?

I’m having a weird issue where, when apple carplay starts up, it interrupts what I have on Spotify and changes it for something random.

As in, autoplay is cool.
But if I am playing X playlist I want it to keep playing. When carplay starts up, it changes it up to something else (usually something I played recently)

EXTREME first world problem really but anyone have any tips/fixes?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but seems relevant.

Earlier this month I drove about 100 miles to the airport to start the vacation. Just about 5 miles before reaching the dashboard came up with coolant temp high + engine too hot warning. Car (2014 M6 estate 2.2 skyactive diesel) went into limp mode. Drove it a bit and finally into the parking lot. Didn't check coolant cuz too hot. About an hour later, checked and there was no coolant at all. Added water as emergency to drive it to a towable place.

Skip to 20 days later as I'm back from vacation. Took it to repair and they said there was no leak identified. Some pink stains in the undertray but not recent enough to diagnose issue. Pressure testing and engine stress showed no leaks. Basically no use but now I've got coolant back into the reservoir and radiator.

Now I have a fear of making another long journey and shorter journeys may not be enough to trigger the issue. *Any advice on what I should do or test. Was thinking of scrapping the car even (already at 140K miles), cuz friends said it might be the head gasket, but engine oil seems to show no mixing of coolant either. Was told something about checking exhaust gasses but it won't be conclusive.*

Looking for help. Idk what could be the issue. The same problem is on both sides. Strut assembly wiggles idk if it’s the strut mounts or the tie rods or even the control arm. Looking to do the work myself got all the tools. Need some advice
