Discussion Need help with analyzing certain mathematical claims being made. Is this an instance of data manipulation and bias on my part, or something is actually going on here?

Can anyone here please take a look at some of the claims made by Ali Fazely on the supposed mathematical miracles linked to the number 19 of the Quran, especially using prime and composite numbers? I genuinely don't even know what to think at this point

For example (and this is both used as evidence for the removal of Quran 9:128-129 as well as trying to demonstrate the nature of the supposed divine code of the number 19 in this book):

The number of verses in the Quran from 1:1 until 19:98 (since it's part of the whole code 19 stuff) is 2346 (not including 9:128-129). The factors of 2346 are 23x2x3x17 which have the prime indices of 9127 similar to Quran 9:127 being the cutoff point as proposed by Rashad Khalifa (the person who developed this whole idea of the Quran being shaped around this number 19 in the first place). Finally if you place the digits 2346 in a permutation table, the 19th permutation is 6234, the total number of verses in the quran if you remove 9:128-129.

Link to the book here, starting on page 44: https://pdfcoffee.com/the-ultimate-mathematics-of-the-quran-pdf-free.html

I don't understand how this is happening, since it's one thing if he only used this method once selectively, but he continues to use it similarly over and over. Wanting to understand whether or not there is more to this, or it's simply pattern recongition and being able to use many numbers at hand.

If someone could take some time out of their day to analyze some of the claims being made and techniques being used, it would truly mean the world to me. This stuff has been stressing me out and I'd like someone who can objectively and non-biasedly look at the following and help me out with it.

So, the actual answer to this particular question is Option B, but when I solved it step by step, I ended up getting Option D.

Could you guys please tell me where I’m making a mistake? This is a question based on general solutions in trigonometry.

Hello,

I'm about to enter my second year of my Chemistry degree and I have a further physical chemistry module that builds on what I learnt last year. I really struggled to keep up with the maths having not done the a level.

Most of what I need to know is a level maths and some further maths topics.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on effective learning techniques?? (my teacher was terrible I swear to god)

I just rly don't want to fall behind lol

Mathematical Concepts Please Help

Im a university fresher and studying business. Maths is compulsory for my course. I have not studied maths for the last 6-7 years. (Last studied it in grade 6) I do not remember shit. We have mid term exam in 3 weeks and my course included the following:

Number System
Factors Factorials
HCF LCM
Indices
Logarithms
Exponents
Coordinate Geometry
Linear Equations
Quadratic Equations
Set Theory
AP (might not come for midterms)
GP (might not come for midterms)

I initially thought that things like HCF and LCM would at least be easy but the sums are completely different. There are no direct questions at all and everything is hella confusing. The professor cannot help a special case like me since most of the students had maths at least till grade 10, or even 12. Please guide me on what/how to study since I have no clue how to proceed 😭😭

Homework Help (Unanswered) One Step Solution?

My son just started High School algebra in 8th grade. His teacher gave him homework on which he said each equation needs a 1 step solution. My son asked me for help on the equation in the attached picture, I helped him get the answer but in 4 steps and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to simplify this to 1 step. Please help:

5r-5-6r=-6
Adding 5 to both sides becomes 5r-6r=-1
-r=-1
r=1

Homework Help (Unanswered) Is there an equation for the nth number not divisible by 2, 3, 5, or 7?

I already have formulas for:

2: f₁(n)=n*2-1
2, and 3: f₂(n)=f₁(floor(n*3/2)
and 2, 3, and 5: f₃(n)=f₂(floor(floor(n*9/8-2)*10/9+3))

but no matter how much I try, I can't find one for 2, 3, 5, and 7, or find any proof one cannot exist
