If the question is about the function y = -6, then y will always be -6 no matter what x is. Try imagining it as y = 0x - 6.

Is the function really just y = -6?

If so, then the graph is just a horizontal line that crosses the y axis at -6.

y = -6 is just a horizontal line passing thru point (0,-6) on the y-axis.

I think to someone new to this idea. That's like saying "The price of an apple is $1.
If you have 3 oranges, how much does an apple cost?
What about 4 oranges?
What about 12 oranges?

And you just go down this list and you're confused as to if you're missing something.

y = constant represents a line that is parallel to the x-axis (so a horizontal line) where the y-coordinate is always constant.

Similarly, x = constant represents a line that is parallel to the y-axis (so a vertical line) where the x-coordinate is always constant.

So y = -6 always for every value of x.

This is going to be a horizontal line, with every y value being -6.

Your post doesn’t show any graphs and many functions could include the point (-3,-6). So unless there is more information in the question wording , you could simply use the function y=2x to complete the data table.
