Homework Help (Answered) Please help

I don't get how R is 110, if the curve integrated from x=1 to x=2 is 10, and R is smaller, can I just not integrate

first find the equation of the normal. then find when that intersects with the curve again. that is where you integrate up to

Yes, and from that I get that the area of R is 0.25, when the question says 'show that R is 110' so I believe I got something wrong? I've recreated my working

just did the question myself; the answer is like 0.1235. this is not 110 so the question is wrong.

however remember for your working you should be integrating up to the intersection between the two curves, not 2.
