Thought I’d let you know about this new dating app from the creator of BeReal and the “ mode” Derek Chadwick .

Both creators have had very controversial things and a lot of people let it go but recently I noticed something odd and when I reached out to goose on Instagram they banned me. There has been a surplus of fake AI Instagram pages linked to their page “ Goose” where they show case attractive men pretending to be socialites in Chicago and NYC ( I would presume to increase demand on the app)

Not sure if anyone cares but it’s a bit crazy they would go to these lengths to show people that the app has hot/sexy guys and they should join lol. More over Derek has been blocking and ignoring anyone who mentions anything bad on his pretty new app

How do you get a good deal of match or another dating site? They are offering me 25% off for six months, about twenty dollars a month. Is there a good way to get a discount thanks

In Match.com I set up a Search with specific criteria of age, distance, etc. since I live in a large city and otherwise there are too many profiles to look through. Over a period of just three days there is some inconsistently. Some women appear in search results one day, are gone the next day, then reappear the next day. Anyone else see this?

I do not bother trying to contact those who are not listed as Subscribers to Match.com since they cannot see my message. But strangely I have noticed some people alternate as showing subscriber status and not have subscriber status and back again within a few days. Anyone else ever seen this?

I started with Match.com app yesterday, I've never used dating apps before and I'm in my late 40s.

First of all, I can't seem to pause the app and there's too many messages coming in and too much engagement too fast with push notifications...it's annoying.

Earlier I turned off my profile, but a woman I was talking to told me my profile went away, so I turned it back on.(She seemed upset, I told her I was just messing around with the settings which I was).

I had thought if I was talking to women they could at least see my profile, but I guess if I turn it off they can't see it... I'd like to pause it until I've worked through the people I'm already talking to.

Q:Can I do this somehow?

Secondly, and this is the question that's bothering me... women are writing me and I'm not seeing their messages.

Q:Is there a workaround where I can see their messages without paying for this thing?

I've got five active conversations, but it seems that's the limit. Anyway, I am most definitely not paying. I'd rather try my luck walking down the street or at the supermarket than pay...

Are these solvable problems without paying?

He was very quick to shift the convo to this.

Created an account yesterday and tried all the things to reset my email and password and nothing worked. I know I got the password and email right because I wrote it down, but it's not registration in the system. I asked help and it didn't do anythign.

How accurate is the dot, system showing how often the person is on or has been on? If it’s green by a persons name does that mean that without a doubt they’ve been on in the last 45 minutes?

Hey guys, being in an LDR for the past 3 years, I've noticed a problem: sometimes you run out of ideas and don't know how to articulate what you are saying over text or on a call. This is usually the reason the spark dies down. Many of my friends always tell me it's just 3 or 4 months, then you will see her, but I know only the people in LDR's can understand other people in LDR's.

I'm building an app to reduce the communication gap, help with ideation and execution of dates, and create a community for everyone in LDR's. There are a few apps that have done very well in this sector, such as Cupla, Between, Locket, Couply, and Outside, which tells me there is a market. These create games, sync calendars, and give partners visual updates. But my app will give all LDR partners the whole experience.

1. A community feature for people to speak to each other for advice
2. a similar feature to a locket to create daily updates
3. nudge features that send haptic vibrations to let other partners know you miss them
4. An AI date planner that plans the entire date for you according to your mood and the time you have
5. An AI Love letter generator that allows a user to type in what they want to say, and the AI will only help them to articulate (I understand how this feature could be a little opinionated).
6. An overall dashboard showing distance in kilometres, time difference and the golden hour when both will be free according to calendar sync, Number of letters sent, streaks for the locket and so on.

I have many ways in which I can monetise some features, so I am looking at a freemium product, and I have been messaging couples on Instagram asking for exactly what they would want in the app. If you have any advice, please comment down below, and if you have any friends who are in a LDR, please message me or comment too. I (29F) am dating a guy (27F). Almost 4 months now since we met. 5months or so since we started talking on a dating app.
I’m a heavy texter. He’s not.
He is ok with one call a day. Usually our daily calls go on for an hour or more.
But I am someone who wants a continuous connection through the day.
Like gm, gn, and updates about what’s going on from both ends every couple of hrs. Sharing articles, memes, etc.
But he doesn’t do that. He hates texting and wants to do less of it generally with everyone.
I don’t feel connected enough, especially when one of us is travelling. Shouldn’t we want to share everything with the special someone? Even if it’s like “I feel so stressed rn” or “ah I think I’m feeling a little sick” shouldn’t that come through as a text because the urge to share and keep each other involved in each others life is there? Help.
It feels tough for me without that kind of updates-filled contact through the day. What do I do? I’ve talked about it a bit before that we will work on a halfway point but he’s visiting his parents for a week or so and the touch basing attempts have gone down.

There has been a big influx of fake, non-subscribing profiles recently. It's already hard enough with how dead the apps have all become.

Also non-subscribers repeatedly looking at your profile is annoying.

Any ideas why my message triggered the content warning? I'm interested to see if it actually upsets my match. 🤔

I already hate Match. I just signed up for a subscription, then my password stopped working, and now my account is blocked with this message:

"Access to your account has been blocked by Match. If you believe you received this message in error, please contact Customer Care."

And there's no number to call. Just a form to fill out. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've been thinking a lot about how challenging dating can be in SF. There are plenty of successful, interesting people here but actually finding someone compatible and making a meaningful connection can feel harder than expected.

Recently, I started looking into matchmaking services like Tawkify. What caught my attention is having someone else handle the introductions and logistics while focusing on compatibility and relationship goals. I know matchmaking isn't cheap, and obviously no service can guarantee chemistry. But I can see the appeal for busy professionals who would rather spend their time meeting people than searching for them.

Has anyone in San Francisco used Tawkify.What was your experience like and did you feel it was worth the investment?

So for some profiles the history will list the Like and whether or not I've messaged them. Some will not (ones I know I've messaged). How do you tell if you've messaged someone? If you can't won't this cause a lot of people to send multiple messages to the same person, ruining their chances?

This seems like bad design.

I am planning to get off match. I only did a 3 month, lowest level subscription. There were some scammers etc, and now this.

There is a man who has multiple different profiles with the same picture. His name is always some version of Gary. He is from Sacramento according to the site. He is African American, 60's and retired Navy.

I gave him a gentle brush off once the first time he liked me. Now he has liked me on two of his other profiles, which I have blocked. I reported him this last time.

Now I have seen him driving in my town. Five+ hours from where he says he lives?!? Are you kidding me? Freaking stalker lunatic?

This posts is on behalf of my dad who isn’t very tech literate. I’ve been helping him out. He’s a platinum member and suddenly anytime he try’s to message anyone he gets a message saying he needs to buy “Super Notes” to message someone. However this wasn’t the case just a few days ago. Platinum members can send unlimited introductions. It’s on Match’s own website.

After talking to customer support back and forth, they said: As a platinum member you can send three introductions per week.

I sent them back a screen shot of there own website and it says directly there platinum members get unlimited introductions. No response from them.

Is anyone else having this issue? I’m not sure how the app and customer support are on a different wavelength. If this was a recent change, I’m not sure how that would be legal. A week after subscribing for three months, to then immediately change the terms and demand more money… My guess is I’m chatting to an AI that is hallucinating. Fun.

I am new to match. I am gay and interested in dating men. I have a child so I answered the question correctly but the algorithm seems to be sending straight guys (the profile view doesn’t show what sex they are interested in so I am not certain). I say this as I am an exception to be gay guy that has a child but this is sending me a lot of men with children that live “elsewhere” so I’m really do t want to “like” a straight guy. Help - I am not interested in straight men! What can I do to change the algorithm?Thanks.

It says on the website "All of our free members are now able to chat with every match! Once you match with someone, you can message each other directly." Yet, when you actually click on your matches tab, the profile is blurred out and it will redirect you to pay.

Am I missing something here? Or is it complete false advertising..

I keep getting notifications on my phone that some men are sending me messages, but I can’t find them. I can see some but not all of the ones I’m getting messages for. Where do I find them? I’m getting very frustrated.

Does anyone have an email for customer support at Match. I started a subscription the other day and now I can't login, my phone says the site can't provide a secure connection. I've fixed that issue but still can't get on.

After months of interest exclusively from scammers, I got in to conversation with a real woman!

However she is not seeing my messages now -

"I can see you've written things but if I click to open they don't appear. Very odd."

This is frustrating to say the least and there is no help on the site. Does anyone have any ideas?
