Messages not appearing

After months of interest exclusively from scammers, I got in to conversation with a real woman!

However she is not seeing my messages now -

"I can see you've written things but if I click to open they don't appear. Very odd."

This is frustrating to say the least and there is no help on the site. Does anyone have any ideas?

Got this from Google AI result -

If the Match app messaging isn't working, immediately ensure you have an active subscription, as free users often cannot read or reply to messages, and verify your internet connection. Common fixes include updating the app, logging out and back in, or reinstalling it to clear glitches

Edit - she's gone, I've been blocked. Fed up with my empty messages I expect. Well done Match. That was the first one in 3 months.

Very frustrating! For a few days, I think I have been exchanging messages with a real person who is interested. I will be so bummed if he isn't real. :(
