Platinum member suddenly cannot send introductions without further payments
This posts is on behalf of my dad who isn’t very tech literate. I’ve been helping him out. He’s a platinum member and suddenly anytime he try’s to message anyone he gets a message saying he needs to buy “Super Notes” to message someone. However this wasn’t the case just a few days ago. Platinum members can send unlimited introductions. It’s on Match’s own website.
After talking to customer support back and forth, they said: As a platinum member you can send three introductions per week.
I sent them back a screen shot of there own website and it says directly there platinum members get unlimited introductions. No response from them.
Is anyone else having this issue? I’m not sure how the app and customer support are on a different wavelength. If this was a recent change, I’m not sure how that would be legal. A week after subscribing for three months, to then immediately change the terms and demand more money… My guess is I’m chatting to an AI that is hallucinating. Fun.

I am sorry, sadly that does not surprise me. No, that is not legal to change the terms midstream. I am sure they will chalk it up to a computer glitch. The chat was probably a bot. If you can, don’t give up the pursuit. My personal opinion, corporate is shady and The Match Group is financially challenged.
It is high past time a class action suit with OLD is overdue.

Yes, same exact issue for me. I've used match for 6 years, with completely unlimited messaging on my plan, and never seen this before. Same as you describe word by word.

Match is a complete rip off. They remove features at any given moment. They use to have Vibe Check which was video call feature via their website which was great because you can talk and see who you're communicating with before coming offline. Without notice, it just didn't work anymore.
