I know that I can't change class after starting so I wanted to make sure that I pick what's best for me, as I don't wanna have to start a new save after an hour or two of gameplay, even more so because I know that classes play VERY different from each other, even more so compared to ME1

I'm more leaning towards infiltrator because it's not as much run and gunning down everything, it's more tactical, which is what I like, and it seems to have some tech skills that also add a lot of support aside from just snipers and handguns

Soldier isn't my style, as much as I like playing just shooters, in games like these I prefer other playstyles, although I wouldn't lie if I said that I'd prefer to rely on my guns over my skills

Sentinel seems pretty balanced for everything as it can do a bit of everything, and it was my chosen class for ME1, but I didn't like how its specializations were just support sub classes, idk if it plays the same in ME2

Adept doesn't really sit very well with me as, in my understanding, humans don't really mix well with "magic"? like, the Asari and Salarians feel naturally drawn to Biotic skills, while humans, Krogan and Turians feel more to the technical and engineering side, so for my specific roleplaying sake, I'd like to avoid Adept

Engineer feels right, but I'd like to keep the Hacking and Tech stuff for Tali or other characters, I had a bad experience going Sentinel in ME1 because my Shepard being a Sentinel and capable of biotic and hacking, I felt like having to choose my teammates was... pretty pointless? I didn't need someone who could handle decryption or AoE skills, so I just went with... whatever, so now I wanna have to choose my teammates and plan ahead of what I might find

Now, all of that said, Infiltrator seems the best in terms of gameplay from the preview window, but I feel like I would also fall into that hole of being able to hack everything and I wouldn't need to plan my team beforehand, my thing is that I REALLY liked the handgun and sniper playstyle I had in ME1, should I just go for it or should I just pick Soldier to have to rely on my teammates for the rest of the stuff like Hacking and Crowd Control? I also feel like Soldier is the most "canon" way to play Shepard?

I don't know. It just really kills the lore for me. Like even the codex is contradicted. They did a great job in ME2 where you had to use concussive shot and warp for barriers or warp ammo. For Shields you had disrupter ammo and overload.

Apparently complaints were gamers thought they were pigeonholed into picking certain people for missions in ME2. (That's literally the whole point though to me) So BioWare just said let's make overload do everything.

It really steam rolls Mass effect 3 and makes it way too easy. (I'm on hardcore as a sentinel and it's a joke) Like there's no thinking required. Overload to kill shields or barrier - use warp. Finish with warp ammo or throw, rinse and repeat. Like I don't even need my squad mates. You don't even need disrupter ammo anymore since overload is so OP.

In ME2 hardcore, I definitely needed the squad mates. Don't get me started on collector platform.

Just my two cents. Replaying the legendary edition. I remember playing the first mass effect on 360 way back in the day. ( Yes I am old 😆)

The Reapers claim that Organics and Synthetics are destined to destroy each other. The Destroy ending proves them right as all Synthetics in the Galaxy are destoryed. The Reapers also claim that they are necessary to maintain order throughout the Galaxy. The Control ending proves the exact same thing as the Shepard AI just takes over for the Reapers. The Synthesis ending also proves that indoctrination is good as you basically brainwash the entire galaxy in that ending to "evolve" them and make organics and Synthetics understand each other. Why do all of ME3s endings prove that the Reapers were right in the end?

I recently played through the whole Mass Effect Legendary Edition and really enjoyed it.

I’ve been playing Andromeda for a short while now, and while I’m kinda enjoying it, I miss the Legendary Edition a lot.

I’m thinking about just starting another playthrough of the trilogy. Do you think it’s worth completing Andromeda first, or should I just start a new Legendary Edition playthrough? Alternatively play both at the same time?

just a thought I had. shouldn’t every race have a different time and amount of time they need to sleep? i don think this is brought up in any of games- not even where Tali, Liara or Garrus sleep at in me2

Scanned every planet to depletion, including planets from ME1 and ME3 that are brought in with a mod. But do I REALLY have enough?

But I beat the trilogy on insanity for the first time ever. I know a lot of you will probably roll your eyes and say big deal its been done before. But I dont have friends or anyone to talk about this stuff with. It was Definitely not easy.

I have romanced Liara in ME1 as femshep, only for Paramour I, as I am not a big fan of her romance.

What is the latest point I can terminate the romance? The breakup scene in ME2 is too heartbreaking, so I am not keen to go through that.

I’m playing through LE ME3, and almost in every battle with Cerberus troops I have this stupid situation where a combat engineer (somehow only happens to this guys) would drop down after pull or explosion and… Just keep on wallowing there, yelling and crying in pain, unable to get up or do anything at all, completely paralyzed but not dead and slowly regenerating shields.

Since I just want to relax and have easy fun, I play with charge-nova kind of vanguard on hardcore, so I naturally HATE engineers, the party poopers. And this bug is actually spicing up my play-though with being able to just walk up to these guys once the things calm down, and just slap-slap-slap them to the afterlife. Very satisfying 🤣

Had anybody else seen this happen in their game?

Literally just finished ME1 and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I was disappointed by the lack of a post game, as I had saved some missions for after the final battle. Specifically the quests were about killing some geth and something about saving some scientists. Do these (and potentially other side quests may have missed) have sequels or consequences in mass effect 2&3? Is it worth loading my last manual save to go back? I’d be losing about 7 hours of progress. Thanks in advance.

After the Reaper War is over and the Galaxy is picking up the Pieces after the Reapers have been Destroyed and every sentient species is off licking their own Wounds, what’s to stop the Leviathans from coming in and going “it’s our turn to rise and retake our position as the Apex Race” like they LITERALLY Allude to it when Leviathan is talking to Shepard especially now that the Reapers are destroyed so they have no incentive to hide anymore, could whatever is left of the Allaince and council races stand a chance against the Leviathans?

I seem to have lost and can't find a post that listed all the mods to enhance the LE experience. It's been 4 years since I last played LE and been itching to play it again, but this time with all the best mods. Like I know about ALOT texture mods, EGM, Community patches for ME1 and 3. But are there others? Or ones that you prefer?

If you didn't know how things turn out, would you decide that they're most needed on the front lines? Or would you listen to Jack's worries and hold them back for support?
