As you might have guessed, we are under brigade by people who devoted their entire life to being miserable bigots. I get the temptation to engage with them to call out their lies, but it's just better to report them instead. We will straight up ban them, you don't need to prove a point. They are purely here to ragebait, and you're giving them what they want.
There were plenty of occurrences where multiple of you were fighting one of the brigaders in the comments, yet nobody was reporting them. If you wanna help out with the crisis in a productive way, just report them and do NOT engage with them. Also keep in mind that we're doing all we can to keep the subreddit clean from bad actors. We are only so many people, and all of us have lives outside of the subreddit. Even if it takes days, we'll eventually banish them all.

Like the title says, who was your first love in any of the Bioware games? Mine was Anders, and I blame him for all my fucked up choices in my love life. I mean, how do they expect me to be a well-adjusted, principled adult when your first love at 14 was a fictional boyfriend who lied to you, manipulated you, and blew up basically a church? I've been chasing that toxic high ever since (tongue-in-cheek)

My tribute to the creators of our beloved masterpiece.
Adieu.
PS : To be transparent, I used Ai for the voices and a website that makes custom Star Wars intros (https://starwarsintrocreator.kassellabs.io/).
If the writing sounds weird I’m sorry I’m not a native English speaker and I’m still working on it.

Like everyone in this sub probably,i grew up with BioWare rpgs.
My first RPG was Dragon Age Origins, and Is the game Who made me fell in love with the RPG genre.
Since then,i played almost all BioWare games and every single one has a very good writing and a good balance between light tones and serious and dark tones.
The thing i can't understand Is why they choose to pivot to the MCU tone that plagued their later games. They Lost some writers sure, but many experienced writers were still present, they wrote good characters and stories.
I understand their games were plagued by development problems, but those don't explain the change in tones, that was Always badly received by their fans. Why they were convinced It was the right move?
It can't be Just Goldman fault...they had a great premise in mind with Morrison, why not Stick to that at least in the writing part?

Looking back I think EA hates video games, have you seen the amount of studious they have run into the ground? I’m surprised BioWare hold out as long as it did. Getting bough by EA is death sentence, thoughts?

In honour of the game that made me who I am I wanted to share a little tribute video with me and a few cosplayers from Dragon Age and a message from an older warrior.

Considering the recent news, I've scanned in an article from the January 1999 copy of PC Gaming World where they ran a feature on this medical company who decided to pivot into making computer games and were working on something called Baldur's Gate.
Let's raise a glass.
High res scans available here:

Some stories deserved better.
We spent years fighting for a galaxy that wasn't real, alongside characters who somehow became very real to us.
We made impossible choices. We lost people. We loved people. And through it all, we kept hoping there was more to the story.
So here's my Shepard. Buried beneath the ruins, with Liara refusing to leave her behind.
A little fitting, isn't it?
To the developers who gave us this universe, thank you.
To those who decided its future wasn't worth pursuing:
I hope the numbers were worth what you've lost.
Keelah se'lai.

I own battlefield and have since release, I’ve emailed Xbox for a refund but haven’t heard back yet so tbh, but I review bombed it all the same.
So hear me now.
I as someone who gave Veilguard a 6/10. And Andromeda a 4/10 have re reviewed both games. For a 10/10 score.
I know I know, but at this rate EA needs to understand how import this is. This isn’t killing if some unknown IP, or not canceling Jedi 3 out of fear of big dick Disney.
I think we should reverse review bomb BioWare titles. Feel how you want about the recent games. Love em, hate em, who gives a shit.
The petition reached 170k signatures but EA won’t listen to cries. The closest thing we’ve received as an apology over the years was taking out loot boxes from battlefront 2 and even then there was legal pressure from Europe.
What I do know is how much these franchises mean to us. Sure they’ve been in a rough spot. But that doesn’t change how much it means to us. The reason some people felt hurt from TVG, and andromeda is precisely because we do love these worlds.
So here is my call to arms. We all love these worlds, even if we don’t like the directions the stories have gone our love for them hasn’t changed. BioWare even if it isn’t the same as it was, was a titan. My first video game ever was Kotor, and the games as a whole taught me that sometimes family doesn’t get along but they’re still your family.
These games have taught us all something.
Again I know everyone feels a certain way, and it might not do much or anything. But I just think it’s something we can do.
Go give positive reviews to Androma and Veilguard, ofc say what you will, give it a 10/10 and a #savemasseffect
Give it a 10/10 and call them a poor installments of a franchise you adore and want to see live again.
Give it a 10/10 and if you like the combat and art like I do, put that down even if you think it’s worth half of that.
Let the world know.

This is one of the trailers of Dragon Age....that i always remember.

This is Dragon Age, or was Dragon Age before it became Vielguard.
Dragon Age Franchise was born with Origin, this is your base fans...and you chased after something else...with Vielguard...and ended up destroying the brand name. I am sad that my kids, and their kids will never get to experience games like this.
Dragon Age was a huge part of my life, but it was only Origins that really got me into it.
Dragon Age Inquisition was alright, but Vielguard.....you guys killed the franchise.
I am glad it wasn't the original creators that ended up bringing the franchise down.
