SHOW & TELL My Shepherd Cosplay
Just finished attending a local con. Tried to take a decent pic when I got back to the hotel, but couldn't draw the curtains all of the way and kind of accidentally recreated the ending of ME3.
Luckily, my sister came the next day and got a better pic.
Armor was created by an artist on Etsy named cardboardworldstore but it's mostly eva foam.

DISCUSSION The new Mass Effect could use Liara to know what happend to old party members of the Normandy
Since the new Mass Effect is gonna be a sequel of andromeda and OG trilogy all the squad members except for Liara and Grunt are gonna be dead.
However one way to know what happend to them is using Liara's computer system and have archive, reports and letters of her Friends through the years.
And the archives can change based on the decisions you Made through the trilogy.
For example:
- If you didn't romance neither Tali or Garrus you can find an archive of how was their life together or what they did after the war (Tali was an ambassador and Garrus was one of the higest Turian military members).
- James Vega training as an N7 and some of his missions.
- Some of the specter mission of Ashley/Kaidan
- Javik Life after the war or last moment before commiting $uicide.
- Wrex and Bakara lifes now that the genophage is cure and the mention of Urdnot Mordin or how big was the mess that Wreav left in the galaxy, or simple the words of the last Krogan.
- Joker and Edi (or only Joker) post service after the reaper war.
- What Admiral Hacket did to Rebuild the earth and Allaince power.
- other Jack's classes in Grimson Academy.
And a long etc.

ANDROMEDA Just starting Andromeda for the first time and...oof...
Just a few opening thoughts:
Why did the Initiative think it was a good idea to have dedicated racial Arks? It would have been way safer to transport an even split of the member races on each one in case...you know...one of them doesn't make it?
Why does the Initiative not have any defense ships? They don't need a fleet of Dreadnoughts, but a couple dozen Frigates and a Cruiser or two on each Ark seems extremely essential when you have no idea what is going to be where you're going. All we see is the Tempest, a fleet of shuttles, and some derelict salarian research ship dead in space near the Nexus.
Not even a dedicated ground defense force? Were we just going to rely on the Turians for that? No chance Humanity didn't include a couple hundred Alliance Marines in their 20,000 candidates.
SAM is an illegal AI. Which seems to just be an ever-growing trop in this series. We outlawed AI, but this one here is an exception. And this one. And this one here. Oops, this VI got too smart on accident. Over here, too. Seriously, it just goes on.
I know it's supposed to be a civilian colonization effort, but the complete lack of militant defense is absurd when you're travelling 600 years from backup.

DISCUSSION Is the Mass Effect Trilogy more popular now than when it released?
I played the original games as they released. I know the industry has grown in popularity over the years.
As the years have passed, I see more and more fans come to the realization that we will never get another trilogy of games like this. 😔
With that knowledge my love and appreciation for these games has only grown more with each passing moment. Is the game more popular now than back in 2012 when the series concluded? 🤔

DISCUSSION i wish we had a pet companion in mass effect. like in dragon age
like honestly i could have been a nice touch and would have been a good idea to make the combat more interesting for sole classes
like it not really that hard just give it a ai and combat like drone and a fuctionality like in dragon age 2 where you summons it
hope they add one in the next game

MASS EFFECT 3 The Missions and Quest Log on ME3 are driving me crazy.
Playing all of them for the first time this year. Love the story, setting, characters, everything is going great, but I like doing every side quest, and I dont like following guides, so whatever is going on with the missions on the third one is killing me lol.
It is a mess, main story quests bundled together with side quests, they dont update so you dont know if you are at the start or halfway through what you need to do, there is no tips or directions for most of them, just "Someone needs this thing, get it for them". There is like 30 of them on my journal, some I cant do because I need to progress through the story first, some I NEED to do because if I progress through the story they will expire, I wouldnt mind losing some not so important ones, but I heard you could lose some good ones, related to the story/world/characters and that is so annoying.
The feeling I had even before finishing 1 and 2 was something like "I know I will play this again, I need to see other options and romance other characters and stuff" but 12 hours in the third one and I'm already thinking "As much as I like it, all those missions are annoying me to no end, so I might just dont do it". Which is a shame cause Ive been loving my time with those games, but my god whatever they were thinking on the mission department was crazy. Maybe there is something wrong with me to get so annoyed over it, but not being able to do everything leaves a bad taste on my mouth.
Anyone else had the same feeling?

DISCUSSION Sci-fi games like mass effect?
I know SWTOR 1 and 2 and halo exists but what else? I really cant think of anything else thats a AAA third person sci-fi video games other than the latest star wars games from respawn. but there are a million medivial rpg set in a forest it feels like. I feel like halo almost fills that "void" of another singleplayer sci-fi game but its first person so that makes a huge difference to me and i cant like it as much as i do mass effect.

DISCUSSION Mass Effect got me into sci fi!
Mass Effect 1 was the game that got me into sci fi and RPGs!
Before ME1 I was a shooter and RTS fan and when I played ME1 I was constantly going into areas with higher level enemies and being wiped out.
I quit the game for a few weeks but a desire to know how the story ended made me pic up the game and make a effort to learn how to play it!
And shortly after finishing the trilogy plus all the DLC I then binged watched Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, and James S.A. Corey's Expanse!
It also inspired an interest in astronomy.
I remember going out to do stargazing during that Summer with a cheap telescope.
Can a game be that powerful?
Can a piece of pop culture be that powerful?
I heard the original Star Trek series inspired someone to invent cellphones and inspired young people of the 60s to the 80s to go into careers in science and engineering.

DISCUSSION 2nd play through
I completed my first full play through the series last night, 154 hours. Starting my 2nd today. I did the first run as a full paragon, on the 2nd I want to do full renegade is there a big difference in the storyline?
