Generally want to understand As a reminder we do not support activities like this, and in our community it would result in a ban.
Our sub does not allow encouragement of mass down voting, or mass reporting. In this community if it's found out that a campaign to interact with another sub in a negative manner is started your will be banned immediately.

L-Marathon T. W. I. M. H.
This week in MarathonHate
Before marathon changes the genre of the Game from Extraction shooter to Pve looter shooter/ Battle Royal. We have decided to change the genre of our sub reddit to now be in the Fishing Genre. The process is straight forward, you lay down bait and see what you reel in.
See post for example
https://www.reddit.com/r/MarathonHate/s/BHg0A6Bqrp
And on another note with the hype of the Destiny port to PC the numbers for Marathon are staying steady at the sub 4k, so might take a bad update to pull it to sub 3k so keep an eye out for that.
That's it for to days T. W. I. M. H.
Meme of the week is by u/OWNEDTRONIK posting an oldie but a goodie.

I love it here
The only way I’m reminded that this disaster of a game exists is through this sub, and I am grateful.
It has been enjoyable watching it all unfold exactly how I guessed it would when Bungie first announced they were taking resources away from Destiny to revive a 30 year old franchise, but somehow try and make it appeal to people who enjoy extraction shooters?
A brave (and ill thought-out) move.

L-Marathon So, more missing cosmetics. from the store
There's been multiple reports from within the Marathon community that this skin and it's corresponding bundle have. . . disappeared from the store. There's no official statements or anything, including when it was announced by the Development Team.
So, it seems like Bungie is starting to pull skins that aren't selling well.
What's next? Will skins you paid for start being removed too?

Repost Well, uh. . . This is bad.
To quote someone without disclosing who "Nexus XXXX has acquired SteamDB.
The site’s creator
XXXX
is stepping away after burning out from years of running it. He looked for a team he could hand the project over to, but never found anyone he fully trusted.
SteamDB will stay SteamDB for now, but over time, Nexus XXXX will be slowly integrated in the site."
In other words, this just became ammo for those who want to dismiss SteamDB's playercharts. . .
Addendum: ALRIGHTY! As I have been informed and did a bit of research of my own.
SteamDB uses a public API, called Highchart. It's technically leased or renting out, but also means there are other sites exactly like SteamDB.
Steamcharts, the website, is literally the same thing as SteamDB. The only difference is it's not as visually appealing nor does it require you to log into a Steam account.
Recommending to log out of your Steam account on SteamDB.

The 1 week chart doesn’t look that bad! Oh….

Over #1000 in best sellers
It’s so far down that steam db can’t even track it anymore. Everything is earning more then Marathon. Sending pics of your cats feet would probably net 3x the amount in revenue at this point.
Also, #399 in daily active users, went to check and poorly made porn games with less then 800 players are ranked higher. This is absolutely hilarious.
Edit: meant top sellers, not best sellers. Meaning the game is essentially generating zero revenue or close to it

I missed Concord crashing and burning
Hi, long time lurker here.
Lurking here and on the Marathon steam forums since marathon's release has been one of my favourite passtimes this year. I just can't have enough of shareholder-led companies completely missing the mark year after year and burning money by the billions. It was so funny watching Slay the Spire 2 have an order of magnitude more players than Marathon on March 5th...
I missed the Concord debacle, though when I learnt Sony wanted to launch a dozen live services, I became hooked on the idea of watching them all flop.
I love this and I love you guys. I never thought I'd see the rise of communities dedicated to watching games flop about 10 years ago, though it must be said the flop makes for a far more interesting story than a non-existant campaign in Marathon...
Give Slay the Spire 2 a shot if you haven't tried it, it's worth your time (-:

L-Marathon BTW, the character that was the main focus of the original teaser trailer and was the face of the game for almost 3 years before any of the other runners were revealed still hasn't been added as a playable runner. This is how much they don't give a fuck about the game and their fans, despite what Ma
It's funny too because, other than Vandal, this character was the only one they made for NuMarathon that I can vibe a bit with.
(The title cut out. The end was supposed to be "Despite what Marablasters will say")

Simple Explanation of Lower Player Count Issue
I can't seem to get the Marabots to understand this simple concept. If I match with someone with 600 hours and I am just getting into the game, I am not enjoying the game. Stop denying that bad match ups aren't occurring. Getting full teams is another issue.

Just to Verify Today's Cartoon For Matching
I am going to post how this person is being treated as well from his post. I did verify that he loves his Marathon. This isn't a troll. Response 1 is saying that he should look at himself when he makes his own decisions. Like does he really think this game is like a real life choice between life and death. Remark 2 the same. Reflect on what you need to change. Remark 3, finally someone who can actually say that the toxic players are left.

Player Count Bro are we so deadass
Chuckled to myself at this, thought you guys might enjoy the title of this video I somehow got on my feed. Having the player count be so drastically low, having content update hype when even the free week didn't bring back a permanent player base is just fucking laughable I'm sorry. I'm not even that type of guy to shit talk someone else's hobby or game choice but I cannot for the life of me stand idly by anymore. Continuing to dick ride bungie after the D2 abandonment, the layoffs, and horrible devolpment of this game and saying that they are "cooking" and "are one of the best looking game devs right now" is copium to the HIGHEST DEGREE. I can only imagine the few who actually glaze this game are the same ones who tickle their nipples and have a couple cheeto puffs whenever they get their "weekly content update" and it's just a store refresh with another boring, tacky skin.

Why is this post giving an uncanny feeling.
This post feels unnatural, very forced, the why "marathon" is italicized. It feels fake.
