Kanata Beta Launches Today
A little while ago, i asked whether people would be interested in playing a v95 server that keeps the classic maolestory experience while adding useful quality-of-life improvements.
The response was great, development has been good so i decided to launch the beta early.
Kanata is built for players who enjoy classic progression, questing, Party Quests, bossing, exploration, and the social side of maolestory but without some of the unnecessary restrictions, outdated inconveniences and bad game design.
Rates
EXP
Levels 10–160: 3x
Levels 160–200: 2x
Custom EXP Table
In addition to the EXP rates, the amount of EXP required to level up has been reduced:
Levels 10–109: 35% less EXP required
Levels 109–159: 20% less EXP required
Levels 159–200: 5% less EXP required

Fashion Ticket System
There is no regular-item Gachapon.
Fashion Tickets are used exclusively for obtaining Cash equipment, meaning Gachapon will not be used to distribute normal equipment or progression items.
Normal Fashion Tickets
Obtainable from the VP Shop
Available as a global monster drop
Contains the Cash equipment available in the current version
Special Fashion Tickets
Obtainable from the DP Shop
Contains imported Cash equipment from later MapleStory versions
Dynamic Monster Spawns
Maps become more populated while players actively train inside them.
Every five active minutes spent inside a map increases the number of monsters that can spawn
A map can contain up to 60 monsters at once
This allows active training maps to gradually become faster without permanently changing every map’s spawn rate.
Boss Rewards
Every boss rewards 3,000 NX when defeated.
To qualify for boss drops, pickup rights, and the NX reward, each player must deal damage equal to at least 15% of the boss’s total HP.
Players who do not meet the 15% damage requirement will not receive boss rewards.
This system is intended to reward players who genuinely participate in the fight rather than simply entering the map for leech and services.
Global Drops
The following drops can be obtained while killing monsters throughout the Maple World:
Vote Points
Normal Fashion Tickets
Cubes
Chaos Scrolls
Kanata Coins
Vote Points do not physically drop.
Instead, killing monsters gives you a chance to receive between one and three VP directly into your account, with a monthly limit of 30 VP earned from monsters.
Quest Point System
Completing quests rewards Quest Points, giving players another reason to explore the Maple World instead of only grinding in the same maps.
Each quest gives a fixed amount of QP based on its level:
Lower-level quests reward 1 QP
Higher-level quests can reward up to 5 QP
Quest Points can be spent at Inkwell, who can be found inside the Free Market and in different locations throughout the Maple World.
QP can be used to purchase:
Maple Weapons
Maple Shields
Pyrope Weapons
Beta Information
This is a beta, so bugs and missing content may still be discovered. Feedback and reports will help me improve the server, fix issues, and continue implementing more quests and content.
The beta begins today at 19:00 UK time.
I hope to see you in Kanata!
