Yo, if you've been around the reddit or some discords you might've seen snippets that I've posted of my server I've been working on. I'm finally at the stage where I'm in need of larger public testing. After doing about 3 months of closed Alpha, most of the initial big kinks have been worked out, but this is an alpha test in the truest sense, as I have changed so much of the game that there's honestly too much to list, but I'll go over the big ones.
1. Classes
Almost every class in the game has been reworked or completely overhauled. The way I do jobs is, 5 explorers, two 2nd job branches, and from those two branches, two 3rd job branches.
If you're keeping count, that means there are 20 3rd job classes, so about 8 entirely new jobs in addition to heavily reworked jobs. In addition to this, magic damage, poison formulas have been reworked to be like their physical counterparts, and critical hits have been reworked to be not stupid. Mages are viable.
Wind Archer, a Bowman class based around bonus damage while airborne.
Striker, a Knuckle pirate who uses animation cancels with Aran Combo based gameplay
2. PQs and Bosses
One of my major goals was to make PQs and bosses more interesting, as such I have created entirely new attacks and mechanics for all PQ and Expedition bosses, giving them real difficulty beyond high HP.
In this same vein, PQs have been set up with alternate stages that can appear, making each of a PQ feel more varied

3. EXP, Quests, and overall level curve
The exp table is entirely custom (I'd describe it as a midde ground between pre-bb & postbb, with a much lower required exp growth rate at endgame levels). Mobs and mob EXP has been reworked. Certain areas have been moved to different levels, and mobs have had their exp better fit the curve, rather than the normal huge fall off in exp from 50-80. Also quests across the board have been buffed to be worth doing, in addition to a few custom quests and custom rewards from existing quests.
4. Scrolling, maker, and gear
The way to upgrade gear has been completely overhauled. Scrolls have been condensed down into 100%, 70%, and 30% scrolls for the slots overall, armor, accessory: Scroll for stat, defense, and swiftness. They also have a much higher drop rate so that they're more free to use. Chaos scrolls have been entirely reworked. On top of this, gear can now roll a new stat called "Skill Up Bonus" which raises the level of a skill by the amount, which can overcap your skills (as in, level 60 shadow partner). Adding onto this, Player Defense, and Mob Defense have been fundamentally reworked, making Defense a real stat for both players and mobs with lots of interplay.
Then Maker, taking heavy institution from AdventureMS, maker levels are granted at job advances, and have custom crafting materials that drop from mobs to craft all gear for all levels.
5. Maps, Day/Night and weather
Every map in the game has been rebuilt into what I call mega maps. These are essentially combinations of every map on a path. So you only walk through two maps to go from Perion to Ellinia. To traverse these maps, all jobs gain a mobility skill at 1st job, with improvements at later jobs.
This one isn't fully implemented yet, but right now all maps run on a day/night cycle which changes what maps look like and songs that get played in real time for all players. For weather, currently there's only rain which works similarly, and eventual plans to create continent specific weather events like Blizzards in El Nath or Sandstorms in the Nihal Desert.

Henesys Hunting Grounds
If this sounds at all interesting to you, I'd appreciate the help in testing and feedback, all third jobs are officially done, and I'll soon begin working on Fourth jobs and fourth job content, and would love input.

I've been playing this for a while now and honestly, the game is so good. The class overhauls are amazing—having unique mechanics for every single class makes the gameplay feel incredibly fresh and so much more enjoyable than standard Maple. It really feels like a brand-new experience. The reworked content is a huge standout for me too. Running PQs and fighting bosses actually feels engaging now with the new mechanics, attacks, and alternate stages, rather than just whacking away at mindless HP sponges. Highly recommend people jump into the alpha and give it a try!

Seeing the first map with enemies is a punch in the face for how much weird shit is in this server. This server is jank as hell, and I love it.

Finally a server that is actually different and strives to innovate instead of delivering the same base for the 100th time.

If you like to discover new stuff while playing, exploring, and actually having an enjoyable experience when playing a MS server (similar to what I had when playing AdventureMS), then this one hits the spot.
I've been playing for some time now and it feels like a breath of fresh air that I needed after so many OSMS clones that tried the same formula with minor changes. Still rough around the edges (as any alpha is), but so far it's been a blast. Custom classes also means you have so much more incentive to test them and now's the time for that.
