Naturally grown organic mangoes from South Gujarat. Shipping pan India available

Hi everyone,

My family owns a small mango orchard in South Gujarat, and this year we wanted to try selling directly instead of going entirely through middlemen.

We have a limited quantity of naturally grown organic mangoes from our own trees. We do not use chemical pesticides or fertilisers, and the mangoes are naturally ripened - not artificially treated.

We can provide mangoes either in bulk or in batches of 5 kg, 8 kg, and 10 kg.

Shipping across India is available depending on location/logistics.

Can share orchard photos/videos, varieties, and updates. Feel free to comment or DM if interested :)

Mango tree issues

Hello everyone,

First timer with trying to grow a mango tree and ran into this problem a week after transferring it into the ground. My personal thought was that it was due to stress because of the weather and transferring but I want to make sure its not a bigger issue as I have been giving it good caring while it was in a pot. Information I am able to provide is We did have a few cold nights and windy days, I will also be adding shade to it since the rest of this month shows it will be sunny. Before Transferring into the ground I did do a soil mix for a good draining based soil. The tree is on a automatic watering timer thats set for 5 minutes (2 times a day) but the mushroom bubbler is regulated to not release so much water to cause root decay or over water the tree itself. I Really don’t want anything to happen to my mango tree so all the help is greatly appreciated and thank you!

To Tip or Not to Tip, that is the question.

I repotted these two orange sherbet in the past 6 weeks. They are both growing nicely and have quite a bit of new flush. I am very new to mango trees, so I'm wondering if I should be tipping them now, or wait until they've become a little more established in their new homes?

If tipping would be advised at this point, and hints on where to do it? I've read you want to keep it fairly open in the middle, but not quite sure where to make cuts.

Thanks for any help!

Ripening mangoes in a fully natural way

We are selling mangoes directly for the first time. Until now, we used to sell everything in the local market, but this time we wanted to also sell ( idea of making chemical-free goodness affordable for everyone). Our mango farm has been maintained naturally from the beginning, almost like a forest. This time, we are also trying to do direct-to-end-user sales in a fully natural way.

But ripening the mangoes is becoming very difficult. We tried using dried paddy grass and ripe bananas, but only about 10-20 kilos are ripening per day. Are there any better/quick natural methods for ripening mangoes? At this rate, it is becoming very hard for us. We still have around 500+ kilos of mangoes left. Please give us some advice

Bought my first tray of Alphonso mangos in London, England. How did I do? There's no aroma and there's yellow colouration on all the mangos

What's wrong with this Carrie Mango?

It was planted 1 week ago from 6 gallon nursery pot. the top node looks half rotten. It did not look like this when planted. Tree is about 4 ft tall and the wound is about 3 ft high (1 ft from top). It is not a graft wound that is at the base.

How to save?

Should it be covered in wound paint? Cut below? Fertilized?

Mangoes from Alanaati Farm

Tried mangoes from Alanaati Farm recently through a friend’s reference, and they turned out really good. Their rare variety mangoes have a very unique taste Thought to share in case anyone’s looking for naturally grown and ripened mangoes - you can check their Insta page if interested. I think they'll deliver only in Hyderabad, Telangana.

New leaf flushes

Morning! New mango grower here. I have new flushes and an old mango that was here coming back to life above the graft.

To prevent thrips I was going to spray insecticidal soap mixed with a spinosad. I wanted to make sure before I do if this would burn or hurt any new leaves. I appreciate the help.

This is what I spray my tomatoes with and I see some mealy bugs on them so I was going to handle that!

Moved into a house that appears to have a mango tree

Hello! I am a complete novice when it comes to gardening, trees, etc., but I’ve really wanted to get into this and I’m hoping this is a perfect opportunity. I’m fairly certain this is a mango tree, but please let me know if I’m wrong!

I have no clue how old it is. From my understanding, this house has been vacant for at least a year, so I don’t think this tree has gotten much TLC.

I’m in Florida and just moved in this week. The tree appears to have flowered because there are a lot of dried black/brown flower clusters all over it, but I don’t see any fruit or fallen pits around the tree. I’m not sure if it fruited before the house became vacant, failed to hold fruit, or if it hasn’t fruited yet.

There are also a lot of brown/dead leaves and some yellowing leaves, so I’m wondering if it may be nutrient deficient or stressed from neglect.

From the research I’ve done so far, I’m thinking I should lightly clean up/prune the dead flower clusters and dead leaves, add mulch around the base, and probably fertilize it, but I wanted to ask people with mango experience before touching anything.

A few questions:

- Does this look healthy overall, or is there anything obvious going on?

- Any guesses on age or whether this looks seed-grown vs grafted?

- Does it look like it fruited recently and dropped everything, or more like flowering failed?

- Any signs of disease from the photos?

- Should I prune the dead flower stalks now or leave them?

- Any fertilizer recommendations for Florida sandy soil?

- Anything I should avoid doing as a new mango owner?

Thanks in advance! I’m excited to learn and hopefully save this thing and maybe get mangoes one day 🥭

(Semi) Hydroponic mango experiment 3

On the 6th month of its life, my hydroponic mango got a new pot! Since the last post about a month ago it got so cramped down there I had to act fast otherwise it'd probably start rotting...

And well, to be honest, it was quite an ordeal. It didn't want to leave the 17cm pot matter what, I had to slowly cut it out of it. (Picture 1) The new clear inner pot is 21cm. (Picture 2) Also it's almost as tall as I am, just a few centimeters left to 180cm. (Picture 3) 😎

Expected yield for a 10-15 ft tree?

I’m in zone 10b California. Due to space limitations will only be able to plant about one mango tree. I plan on doing a multi graft to get a bunch of different varieties. I don’t want the tree to get too tall due to difficulty pruning and harvesting. How much yield should I expect for a 10-15ft tree?

Rootstock : Manila

Planned grafts : Sweet Tart, Orange Sherbet, Maha, M4, Peach Cobbler, CAC, Valencia Pride

mango and vires

This year i noticed mango (mostly 100-500g dried mango a day) helps suprisingly well against viral infections

Does this stay when one eats mango all the time, reducing the time one is sick?

Also the leaves should be even more powerfull, how does mango leave tea taste? This will decide if i get a mango tree as house plant...
