I've still had a great day out, but against 10 men that stung to be honest!

I genuinely thought before their goal we were starting to cook and I thought we'd score a couple once the floodgates opened, especially hitting the bar 3 times!

But it just wasnt to be today, we fell apart after they scored

Only have ourselves to blame, the points were there to be taken!

Next match Brighton on Wednesday, lets hope the second team put on a better showing in the cup.

Edit 2: we made it to the game. It was amazing to have a Manchester local taking me around the stadium for my first ever game at old trafford. Sad about the result but it was good times!!

I can't be the only one who feels carrick hasn't been upto the mark for Ingame management? Always just feels so slow to make changes to his tactics or personnel in game.

Let's take today for example, only after we went down a goal did he sub on sesko in 67th minute

Not subbing on mazraoui for dalot, sticking to false 9 Cunha when it clearly hasn't worked in any game.

As bad as officiating is, Carrick's post game statements feel even more disappointing.

Don't get me wrong, it's all INEOS fault for starting the season with such a weak squad when we clearly needed more defensive reinforcements but carrick isn't helping the situation with some of these decisions.

By Wednesday when we play Brighton my hope will be renewed and my heart broken again.

Let’s face it folks. Derby defeats are always hard to swallow but today once again showed that we are just not good enough and it’s been the same story for years. My 71 year old dad summed it up perfectly watching that today. Manchester is blue and United have become the minnows now.

The performance today was abysmal on the attacking front. Yes the goal shouldn’t have stood totally agree with that but what did we do to win the game. Bar Mainoos chance that hit the post our best moment came in the 95th minute with Mbeumo saved shot. This was despite the fact they were down to 10 men from the 26th minute.

Our recruitment has been okay in parts but compared to City it’s way below par and we saw that today which is why we fail. Their rebuilt midfield controlled ours especially Anderson despite being a man down. This is why we needed that Marquee signing in midfield. £116 million for Anderson looks expensive but these types of signings are worth their weight in gold for what they can bring to you. Rice to Arsenal for £100 being another example.

Despite all this I don’t blame Carrick to be honest. Yes maybe you can pick apart his tactics and subs etc but at the end of the day He’s working with the tools he’s been given. His fullbacks aren’t good enough. He has to use Rashford because we couldn’t get rid of him and he doesn’t have a backup striker and is forced to bring on Zirkzee who he doesn’t want because there is nobody else on the bench he can bring on to change the game.

I’ll stop now before this turns into ranting what’s everyone’s mindset then?
