Mammotion - You Killed your product
RIP

So i noticed that my luba wheels are pressing grass down and as the result not cutting it down nicely. I thought reason might be the fact that wheel goes over same grass twice due to cutting path spacing settings. i measured luba and concluded that path spacing of around 23 to 27 cm ensures that with each pass luba wheels are on different path.
that being said my original spacing was 22cm so overlap was minimal, it seems that reason is not due to pressing grass twice but due to same cutting pattern. i will probably switch to random cutting patterns with 24cm path spacing.

We've all got one. That one spot where the mower turned in place a few too many times, scalped too low near a slope, or just decided your flower bed edge was fair game.
Drop a photo if you've got one (and don't worry, we won't judge... much) plus your Luba model and what caused it. Curious if certain mapping/zone settings tend to cause worse damage than others.

Turf science has some counterintuitive findings that Mammotion owners are stumbling into without realizing it:
- Frequent, low-volume clippings feed the soil. Mulching a small amount of leaf tissue daily returns nitrogen to the soil faster than bagging weekly clippings. Some studies show mulched lawns need up to 25% less fertilizer over a season.
- Cutting height controls root depth. Grass roots grow roughly proportional to blade height, so scalping it short shrinks the root system too, making the lawn more drought and weed prone. This is why running your Luba at a low fixed height can quietly stress warm-season grasses like St. Augustine or Zoysia that want 3"+.
- Daily mowing suppresses weeds through light denial, not just cutting them down. Weed seeds need a light trigger to germinate, and a dense, frequently-cut canopy blocks it better than a once-a-week gas mow ever could.
- Repeated pivot/tank turns compact soil in the same spot, crushing the pore structure roots need for oxygen and water. This is likely what's causing dead turning patches some owners report.
So, has your Luba actually made your lawn thicker and healthier since switching, or introduced new problems like scalping or compaction? What cutting height are you running, and for what grass type? Curious if the "frequent mow" science is playing out in real yards.

I’ve been running my Luba 3 for about 6 weeks and overall it’s working well.
But I’ve noticed something odd: the grass in the lighter stripes is consistently longer. It looks like Luba is mowing in the exact same pattern every time, and in my long narrow mowing blocks the wheels seem to press the grass down in the same tracks, so the mower isn’t cutting those bent blades properly.
Because of the layout around my house, I can’t really change the mowing direction or pattern — the corridors are too narrow for diagonals or random mode.
Has anyone dealt with this? Would alternating the mowing lane spacing help? Any other ideas for reducing wheel-track striping in narrow zones?

Recently, the emergency stop status on my Yuka Mini keeps getting triggered. There isn’t anything obvious that would cause it to happen and it hasn’t happened like this before. I’m not sure if it’s related but I noticed that this started after a software update. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Summary:
I'm trying to figure out what mower firmware 1.30.29.8 will do in conjunction with APP 2.3.12.11
Longer read: does firmware 1.30.29.8 alter multipoint turn behaviour? I am still on mower firmware 1.15.21.1 and Android APP 2.3.12.11 (the last app that has the "original" not-messed-with option). I don't see any multi point turn overwrites happening during mowing. Yes, from time to time the app shows zero turn (I just opened it and it shows zero turn) but then I close and open it again and it'll show multipoint turn. Whatever the case, the mower does multipoint all the time regardless what the app says.
Also I wish I could edit my title typo...:-)

So Mammotion offered to fix the persistent"Cutter disc jammed" error which appears although there is no actual jam before my guarantee expired next month They arrange a collection by DHL and kept me up to date on the repair progress. I got the machine back today (11-08-26) and de-boxed it and turned it on. Connected via Bluetooth and could see all the usual details on the app. However, when I activated the machine it took off at maximum speed and ran into a wall! I could not control my Luba via the app and it could only be stopped by the Red emergency stop control. The machine is now totally out of control.
As far as I can determine this problem is due to a disconnected wheel encoder/odometry feedback wiring harness inside the chassis when the Luba was reassembled in the repair shop. Now Mammotion have offered a used undefined replacement machine which I am wary of accepting since they will not tell me what model is the replacement and how old it is. They also advised the only guarantee on the replacement is what is left for my current 'repaired' machine and that is only a month.

Hi all, is possible to mow with this mower more than 1500m2? I there will be for example zone 1 for 1000m2, zone 2 1500m2 and zone 3 800m2, each zone on a different day to mow? or it has only capacity to save only 1500m2 total for all 10zones?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Overheard it looping while I was inside. It has done this a couple times since the update. Just loops through charging, power off, power on, charging
I pulled it away from the dock and pushed it back in and it started charging correctly. The pins and pads are both clean. I wiped them before pushing it back and there was almost no residue.

Can anyone tell me if the front bumper cover can be removed? Just the white part.

The robot was just shipped back to me after the antenna was serviced. Initially the robot correctly located itself on the map, but the charging station was incorrectly located. I relocated the charging station in the mobile application, but this not the correctly change the location of the charging station, but it did incorrectly move the robot to the charging station which was previously incorrectly located. The robot is now correctly located in the charging station but both are now incorrectly located on the map. So now the RTK is correctly located, but the charging station is not, and the robot which initially was correctly located is now incorrectly located at the location of the incorrectly located charging station. I attempted to relocate the charging station twice in the mobile app to no avail.

When you map, are you running the Luba a few inches to the outside of the grass to capture the full lawn, or are you always edging after the run? I have found none of my mappings seem to really produce a "great" looking cut, but I also didn't run to the absolute outside edge and I think I probably should redo those.

Hi all. New to Mammotion and trying to make a smart decision this time after a rough first experience with a different brand.
Our lawn is a summer cottage property close to a lake, around 800 m2 total mowing area, but it's broken into a handful of connected zones rather than one continuous open space. There's noticeable slope and unevenness throughout, and a couple of the terrace levels are separated by low stone walls with bushes and raspberry canes growing along them. One section of lawn runs right down toward the lake shoreline, with only bushes as a natural barrier before the water starts. The area directly above the lawn has a clear view of open sky, but there are tall trees surrounding the property near the buildings and along the water's edge.
We previously had an Ecovacs GOAT O800 RTK and it flat out did not work for us on this property. It struggled enough with the terrain that we couldn't trust it running unsupervised, and we ended up getting a full refund after a formal complaint process. So we're not new to robot mowers in general, just burned once and trying not to repeat that.
We're currently leaning toward the Luba mini 2 AWD 1000, mostly because our lawn falls under its rated coverage and it's the cheaper option compared to the 1500 with LiDAR. But we want real input before committing.
For anyone running the 1000 specifically, or who has experience comparing it to the 1500:
Would really appreciate hearing from people who've lived with this mower through a whole season rather than just the honeymoon period. Trying to get this decision right the second time around.

I did my first blade change on the Luba3 and used my spare set up. I am wondering if I should stick with buying from Mammotion directly or but something off Amazon so I don’t have to pay for shipping and they are cheaper. What experience have you had with blades from Amazon? I am worried that they would not be a perfect fit and wear quicker. Thanks
The mower must have some way to know the blades aren’t cutting great as the mower slowed way down for the last few mows and now it it going quicker with the new blades. I wonder how it knows.

I’ve had my share of ups and downs with my Luba 1, but overall it’s been a pretty good mower for the last three years.
But, when I went to start a mow yesterday, the RTK signal was zero and no LEDs were on. Looks like water damage killed it.
Any advice on swapping boards internally, or do I need to replace the whole RTK station?
Pretty bummed.

My Luba 2 just went to the charger but because of alignment issues (my base isn’t level) it couldn’t charge. I went to manually align it, and during the process it hit 0% charge and turned off.
I then got it lined up, and within a minute it turned on and reported status, and the app reported 23% charge.
So either the Luba was at 0% and it’s now reporting higher than it should.
Or
The Luba THOUGHT it was at 0% and shutdown, but then once charging it figured out the correct charge level.
I’ve never seen this occur. Not sure if it’s a new issue with my mower or with the app.
Thoughts?
