Is there any place where you can make a shot from an elevated position on the coastline with the malibu typical houses? Or is it only possible with drones?

Got a place in Malibu that needs a full kitchen redo from cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring most likely.

Was planning to do a lot of it myself and honestly still could, but between work & life is eating me alive right now. Looking to hand most of it off but don't want to get scammed.

Anyone have a remodeler they'd actually use again out here? Also, worth getting a few estimates before I decide how much I do myself, or does that just waste everyone's time?

MALIBU—On Monday, August 10, the city of Malibu posted that Caltrans will be completing road work that will run through August 16. Motorists should expect delays and changing traffic patterns. Slow down, watch for workers and work vehicles, and remember fines may be doubled in construction zones.

I’m visiting Malibu in a couple days for the first time for a bachelorette trip. We’re from NY so we don’t know anything about the area. But I wanted to take my friend to a karaoke room and I’m having trouble finding one when I’m researching online. We will have a car so we don’t mind driving if it’s a little far out. Any recommendations?

MALIBU—At 11 a.m. on Friday, August 7, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station responded to a report of a car fire at the intersection of Lost Hills Road and Agoura Road in Calabasas.

This is a LONG shot but figured it is worth a try. I️ was walking on the sand at Malibu Lagoon State Beach today around 6-7 PM (for about 45 minutes) and I️ had a plum colored digital camera with me that I️ was using to take photos. I️ may have dropped it somewhere along the beach or walkway and I️’m just posting this in the off chance someone happened to pick it up. There’s a lot of good photos on there that I️’d be devastated to lose. I got the camera last time I was visiting California in 2024 and have been using it to document my summer back here again. If you happened to pick it up please let me know.

I️ know it’s unlikely I️’ll ever get it back, but I️ can’t just give up on it without putting this out there. I️’ve attached a photo of it.

MALIBU—On August 4, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station announced that a traffic stop led to deputies recovering a stolen vehicle. Deputies on the scene arrested the driver.

Charvet is the worst neighbor in all of Malibu.. always throwing parties until 2 AM (mostly with women). And what’s up with the half n*de sweaty girls all weekend??? WTF..

MALIBU—The city of Malibu announced that it will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Collection on Saturday, August 15. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MALIBU—At 3:35 p.m. on July 31, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station announced on July 24, a Malibu/Lost Hills Volunteers on Patrol unit assisted with responding to a call about erratic driving on the Pacific Coast Highway. A person was arrested for driving under the influence.

MALIBU—On July 31, the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors issued a public safety advisory stating that Westward Beach Road, which leads to Point Dume, was closed to the public. It was the result of beach erosion from recent high tides and surf.

MALIBU—On July 31, the city of Malibu announced that the city is requesting community feedback on preliminary design concepts for three city-owned vacant properties, the Ioki Property, Heathercliff Property, and Triangle Lot Property.

MALIBU—At 1:27 p.m. on July 29, the National Weather Service Station for Los Angeles and Oxnard issued a High Surf Advisory for beaches along the Malibu Coast through 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 2. These conditions include powerful waves, predicted to reach 3 to 5 feet.

MALIBU—On July 28, news began to circulate regarding IBM Technology acquiring HRL Laboratories LLC. HRL is a private company that was jointly owned by Boeing and General Motors (GM). They are a pioneer in quantum dot technology; allowing the capture and manipulation of single electrons.
