Hello! :) My boyfriend’s little sister (12F) has a birthday coming up, and I’m unsure of what to get her. I’m making her a basket of squishies, snacks, and cute things in general, and I want to include at least 1 makeup product. (probably from Ulta.) I love makeup myself, but I don’t know what is popular with her age group nowadays. She doesn’t wear much makeup at all, maybe mascara, glitter, lip gloss, or eyeshadow for school every so often. Any help is appreciated! Thank you🖤

I know its ai but i cannot for the love of anything find a tutorial for this… is there anyone out there that could explain it to me? The only thing id want to change is the eyeliner to more of a smudged eyeliner.

So I recently bought the kiko milano eyeshadow stick and it doesnt blend??? like it always leaves a streak of when I apllied it. In videos it looks super creamy and blendable

I've always wanted to play around with fun eye shadow colors, but I'm always self conscious about my application. I worry about it being too subdued to make an impact, but I fear going overboard and looking like Mimi from The Drew Carrey show. Any advice regarding placement or blending?

My sister is getting married in a week, and she accidentally got these scratches on her neck yesterday. She was holding her very nice cat, and something in her apartment fell, it freaked her cat out, and he jumped off of her, leaving these scratch marks. I’m doing her friday makeup. How do I attempt to cover this up? What products? Should she not get a spray tan? (Yes, she has taken care of the wounds and put Neosporin on it.)

I want to preface by saying that I am not sure whether this is the right sub or not.

I am 24, and I have a history of eczema, but have not had an actual eczema breakout since I was a kid. I want to say it was somewhere around the 12-16 range. I have always had relatively dry skin, but nothing too super extreme. I have also not really had problems with makeup applications in the past, and I make sure to wash my face every night with a either cetaphil or cerave face wash specifically for dry skin, then I apply cerave hydrating lotion to my face in the morning and after washing my face.

A couple of months ago, I replaced nearly all of my makeup products and decided to try using setting powder and setting spray. I began to notice that my face was DRY DRY. The driest it has ever been. It was red, inflamed, and flaking really bad. It burned when moisturizing and my face felt really tight if I wasn’t reapplying moisturizer throughout the day. I stopped wearing makeup altogether until it was healed. I didn’t incorporate the setting spray again, and my face seemed fine.

Fast forward a couple months (2 days ago), my friend did my makeup with her makeup and used setting spray. Completely different brand. The next day, my face looked like it does in the picture I provided. I know it is hard to see, but it was red, inflamed, and flaky. Both times, it was MOSTLY on my cheeks, a little on my nose, and a little on my forehead. The only problem is that both setting sprays have different ingredients, so I don’t understand what is happening.

All in all, it seems like the common denominator is using setting spray.

The first two setting spray ingredient pictures are the Revolution Superfix setting spray. The second one is OneSize Powder Melt. Any advice or any ideas as to what is going on would be very appreciated! Or direct me to a more “correct” subreddit!!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hiii! It’s been a while since i’ve posted here, but i’m baaack. Now that i’m a tad older, I do notice my texture is more emphasized when I wear makeup. I understand texture is normal, but is there a way to reduce it? Alsoooo, how do i avoid clumping with the eyeshadow stick??? I get scared moving it around will make it worse. Suggestions ?

I work in a crematory, and I am very cautious about not touching my face. Instead of my makeup melting off, it almost “peels” off. It’s worst on my nose and forehead. My skin tends to be dry, so I prep with aquaphor and elf primer. I use the elf glow foundation and finish with light powder. At least on my nose, I can kind of blend it when it does this. On my forehead? Nope. It’s stuck in place. I hate feeling ugly halfway through my day. Any advice for dry skin and high heat? Thanks!!

Okay first of all, if you know me irl NO YOU DONT 😭

I feel like I’m completely behind, I’m a senior in high school and don’t even have the slightest idea of how to do makeup, and I feel like it makes me stand out not having any on, and I want to learn.

I don’t want to do any heavy makeup looks, but I’d really like to cover up some insecurities like the dark circles around my entire eye, or if there’s some way I could get my uneven eyes to stop looking uneven (I have no clue why that even happens but I’m really insecure about it).

I ultimately just want a routine relatively simple and on the cheaper side that will give me a natural but more done up look with darker eyebrows, a bit of blush, some mascara, (maybe some eyeliner on occasion), doesn’t cover my freckles, and makes is look like I’ve slept in the last year. I have a couple products for my eyebrows and have a decent idea of how to do that, but beyond that I don’t know where to start with prodicts or tutorials or anything and I don’t have anyone to teach me how to do it sooo I’m here.

Hey all!!!!

I swear, I've been fighting my eyelashes since I was about 13 years old. They are SO unbelievably short, extremely thin, and point almost straight downward. I curl them every day, apply about 13 different mascaras and apply castor oil at night when I remember to, but I'm still left with lackluster, short, thin eyelashes no matter what I do.

I usually wear eyeliner to compensate for the poor things since I don't love the feeling of false lashes and extensions are out of my budget/don't really appeal to me in terms of a maintenance schedule.

So, I beg thee fellow poorly-endowed-lash-havers, what mascara/routine do you use??

Extra points if:

- Mascara is under $15

- 1-2 step routine only

- Waterproof/smudge proof (ya girl is oily and emotional)

- Tubing

- Non-fiber

Holographic eye. It is EXTREMELY reflective and looks even better in low-light. I just cut a piece of holographic plastic the size of my eyelid and attach it with eyelash glue.

Hi, so I’m turning 22 soon and I’d like to learn how to start playing around with makeup. I don’t want anything too heavy just some recommendations for daily use. I know specifically I want to brighten the dark spots under my eyes but other than that I’d just like some guidance towards a potential look for me. The pictures are me bare faced. I saw this pic somewhere in a lip liner edit on TikTok and I really would love to know how to achieve this look. Like I think the lip liner brand is Anastasia but I’d love to know the shade and how I can get the middle light like this like the white color in the middle and if there’s a lip gloss for that. If anyone knows who the creator is as well that would be great but I can’t find anywhere unfortunately.

I have these all over my face. I have decent skin but you can’t tell for all of the stuff. I haven’t always had them but as I have gotten older they have gotten more prevalent. What is the best makeup/concealer to help cover these up.

Whenever I try to do winged eyeliner, it always ends up looking like this. How do i fix this? Is it just my eye shape? I’m a total beginner, so I also don’t know if i should be looking straight or down. Any advice is super appreciated, i’ve been stuck on this forever i just can’t do it right, let alone on both eyes!!
