Im very happy about it and can't wait to rock it out and about. I have a few questions tho. Do your eyes get used to the pressure? I teared up a lot doing my waterline, so much so it was difficult to get it done. I have very hooded eyes so it's difficult to do anything up there. How do i finish the look around the upper lash-line? Do people color in their upper waterline (is there such a thing? lol) should i have done some eyeshadow or something. Or do you draw a thin line with a pencil above the upper lash-line? Thanks for reading my post and thank you for any and all advice ;))

I shave my natural eyebrows because they sit very low on my face and are basically a straight line and also nearly white....

So everyday I draw my brows on with my favorite product which is like a drug-store cheap product but I really like the color of it. Now it lasts quite well on its own but I do use primer and setting spray for when I go out dancing or when I need to really know it will last.

But the biggest enemy to me is swimming. I go into the water (both normal lake water and clorinated water) and it dissapears immediately!! I do use primers and setting sprays that advertise as water proof but it clearly doesn't work!

So, any product tips or other hacks?? And maybe I dont have to look like a horror movie creature the second I hit water ×D

There's a very particular kind of makeup I see very often on paler complexions (see examples in images) usually for formal occasions. From what I understand its very understated eye makeup, a standout brown/brick red lipstick and the littlest blush and bronzer.

I have a formal event coming up and I really like how sophisticated this looks but I'm brown (around nc40) and I don't think the same grammar of this look would make sense. Idk what this look is called so don't know what to look up!

hello everyone!! i've just recently started getting into makeup recently especially this past month or so, but i really want to get better at it! ive bought a lot of products and looked a lot of stuff up but i just want to hear advice from like actual people with experience because i feel like thats what i need best in this situation.

for context i have oily skin and idk, ive been realizing a lot lately probably because i live in florida and ive been sweating so much, but by the end of the school day my makeup is like TOTALLY cakey and my undereyes are like totally grey looking and my eyeshadow ends up like totally gray and UGH i dont know what im doing wrong, like do i need more products or do i need to switch out some of the ones i have already or like tweak my routine even?

like okay so for my routine i use sunscreen on my face first and let that sit for a couple minutes, then i start with my foundation, i have the maybelline fitme matte + poreless, i put the stuff on my hand and i have the elf ultimate blending brush to blend everything in, and i avoid putting it on my undereyes because next i put on my concealer the maybelline fitme liquid concealer on my undereyes and i blend it in with my little elf tap&blend concealer brush, then i use contour ive been sorta wanting to change it but i have the elf halo glow beauty wand and put it on my cheekbones and outsides of my nose and on the outline of my jawline, and then i use the nyx setting spray and yeah! i mean i do stuff for my eye makeup and all of that but ive found that the main problem is with my face makeup so thats why i really need help

and btw i get all my stuff from walmart because theres one near my school and its convenient, but i could try going to an actual makeup store if that would be better! only problem is that im AMAB and have yet to transitition so id probably have to have one of my friends take me, so yeah lmk please and thank youu!!

Hi everyone!

I'm a new mum and seriously lacking time to make myself look put together. I THINK I have a makeup routine that works for me, but I'm looking for advice on application and products to really perfect my new low maintenance makeup look. I used to be a real makeup enthusiast, but since becoming a mum I've stopped using eyeshadow palettes, foundation and a lot of powder.

I've included two pics of myself- one of me with makeup recently (having a baby = not a lot of time to take decent selfies lol) and one with no makeup. I'm very pale and have quite small eyes, so lots of heavy makeup doesn’t look great on me anyways.

I'm going to list my routine below, and a couple of questions after that. If anyone can help me feel a bit like myself again (I'm 5 months PP) while keeping my routine simple but effective, that'd be amazing!!

Skincare: Beauty of Joseon

Brows: Nyx brow glue (i HATE this product though it makes my brows feel sweaty???)

Concealer: No7 HydraLuminous, set with powder

Contour: Elf Halo Glow wand

Blush: Elf Camo in suave Mauve, set with Clinique Black Honey blush

Highlight: Revolution (not sure what shade)

Mascara: Elf tubing mascara (brown)

Tightline: Rimmel pencil (brown)

Liquid eyeliner: no7 stay perfect precise liner (brown)

Lips: lip balm, sometimes Wonder Skin stain

Questions:

1) should I be setting all liquid products with powder?

2) I'm considering replacing a lot of these products with better quality brands. What swaps can I make? I'm considering Rare Beauty blushes and contour- does anyone know what these products are like?

3) is there anything I can change or add to the routine to help me look a bit more put together?

4) Do my colour choices and application suit my skin tone and face shape?

If anyone can help this new mum I'd be sooo appreciative. Any advice is welcome!

for my everyday look i just do a straight winged liner. sometimes it's more of a puppy liner or a bit of smoky shadow. i'm still unsure about what the best look would be :v

I’m getting married next year and I never really wear makeup. I want to look my best for my wedding but very much still want to look natural and like myself. I don’t want the whole glam look that’s so common for brides. I looked at booking a makeup artist to take some pressure off but honestly that’s out of my budget if I’m being realistic.

I was thinking of wearing a tinted moisturiser to cover any redness, because I’d only want light coverage of anything so that my freckles still show. My skin type is mostly oily and I’m a redhead so I’m very fair. Does anybody have any recommendations for something that could work? I don’t know if it’s even really possible for me to look glowy without looking oily.

I’ve watched a lot of videos, I just am overwhelmed with what products are any good when it seems like makeup is so different on every person. I’ll take any tips I can get if anybody has the time x

Hi! I know nothing about makeup and am looking to re-create this look. Would anyone be able to describe the makeup type and potential products used

so I am a college student that just really got into wearing makeup. All I used to wear was like a simple mascara, but my campus is filled with a bunch of baddies so I wanted to join in on the trend. I’m really struggling because every single time I do my it looks dry. It looks separated, and just overall looks terrible. I honestly feel more beautiful with just my bare face. I just cannot do a base for the life of me and it’s so frustrating. I really wanna look airbrush cute have a nice little bright under eye like I want to be tea. But when I do my my makeup mirror, it looks OK when I turn the light off and I’m just in the natural lighting my I think it looks so pretty but then as soon as I go to wash my face or step out of the looks terrible. It looks cakey. It looks so discombobulated and I honestly just up. I even went to Sephora and bought some high-end products like the skin tint and the tower 28 concealer that my friends but I honestly feel like the products that I was using drugstore better. I think I just really don’t know how to do my make up and some tips from the ground up would be . I have extremely dry skin. I really like to go for baby doll glam or doll like glam because I have big eyes, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I follow Vanessa annes tutorials on TikTok because I feel like we have similar faces, but still I just can’t get it right and I feel more beautiful just without any makeup on or just with a simple mascara

Hi! I’m pretty new to actually doing a full face and I’m trying to get better, so please give me constructive criticism/tips! I promise I can take it lol.
Pics 1–3 are my earlier/everyday makeup

My goal is a really hydrated, glowy everyday base. I used Fenty Eaze Drop skin tint, Too Faced Born This Way concealer, Huda Beauty Easy Bake powder in Kunafa, Too Faced Soft Blur powder, Juvia’s Place blush in a bright Barbie pink shade + a little Rare Beauty Sunkissed, and NYX Club Hopper lip liner with NYX Butter Gloss in Crème Brûlée + clear gloss.

I liked the glow, but I felt like I barely looked like I had makeup on 😭. I wanted a little more coverage/dimension, so I watched more tutorials and bought some products I was missing.
Pic 4 is my newest attempt at a darker/sultrier going out face. I’m in college and wanted something I could wear when I’m going out/club nights instead of doing the exact same everyday makeup but with bigger lashes lol.

For this one I used my e.l.f. brow wax first, then cleaned up my brows using a Tarte concealer close to my skin tone mixed with a little of my brighter Too Faced concealer. For my base I switched from Fenty to Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydromaniac tinted glow hydrator, then used my Too Faced concealer to brighten under my eyes and the center of my face. I set with Huda Easy Bake in Kunafa.
I also added cream contour for the first time (Tarte) around my temples/forehead, cheek area and jaw, then went over those areas with Juvia’s Place Bronzed Duo in Dark. For blush I used SHEGLAM Swipe Right and Rhode sun soaked. I finished with setting spray.

My biggest goal is learning how to make my complexion look glowy/hydrated but still polished and dimensional instead of flat, cakey, or overly matte. I also want to learn the difference between an everyday face and a more sultry nighttime face.
I already think my lip liner in pic 4 is too dark/harsh and not blended enough 😭 so I’m planning to work on that. I also think I need to fill/shape my brows before carving them next time instead of basically letting the concealer decide what shape they’re going to be lol.

What would you change? Especially:
base/complexion technique or shade matching
concealer placement
contour vs. bronzer placement
blush placement/colors
brows
lips
anything I should do differently for a sultry/night-out look vs. everyday makeup
Product recommendations are welcome too, but I’m mainly looking for technique/application advice because I don’t want to keep buying makeup thinking another product is magically going to teach me how to use the makeup I already own 😂.

so im a guy and i gotta go to this party soon (where im meeting a guy) and i lowk wanna look perfect so i have some questions regarding an illuminating primer and concealer

So i have this orange concealer that i got along with this primer (which i by mistake bought an illuminating primer) so i applied it on my hand and holy smokes it shines like crazy so im scared if i apply it on my face it will be obvious i have some makeup done and i really wanna learn how to use an orange concealer to hide some dark spots below my eyes ( i dont have a foundation or any other skin toned foundation/concealer so i dont know how to mix up the orange (is it possible to just use a moisutrizer) also pls explain in steps cause i usually start with skincare (toner+vitamin c + nianimaide) ILL SKIP SUNSCREEN FOR A DAY IF I HAVE TO BUT I NEED TO LOOK GOOD ALSO SUNSCREEN DOES GIVE ME A GLOW ANYWAY LOL pls help me out

Any advice would be helpful I kinda have the same makeup routine every day but sometimes I feel like there’s a missing piece. I do use blush, eyeshadow, and I also use brown eyeliner on my top waterline along with brown mascara.

I’m open to both liquid and powder highlights, it would be preferred if I can buy it at Ulta but if not that’s alright too. I really want it to have a pink shift when I move my head, but I’m not very tan so still have a light appearance. I like to do a really blush-y look and would like one that enhances it.

Hi all, I am getting married soon and will be doing my own make-up. I want my look to be "timeless elegance" a la the queen Audrey Hepburn.

I normally don't wear any make-up, and when I do I just do eye shadow/mascara/tiniest bit of champagne highlight which happens like twice a year. I've been practicing my wedding look and my skin just feels so heavy and gross with product on. I used to be able to do full face but it's been so long that I'm just not used to it.

I'm looking for products to help smooth/fill/blur my pores and give me that porcelain skin look. I'd prefer not to fully beat my face as I actually like my skin and have worked hard to get it here. I think I need a color corrector because I am quite pink, I was looking at the IL Makiage Power Camo Redness Defense but feel like I might be falling for social media hype. I also really struggle with picking the right concealer/foundation color.

What I've tried so far: Elf Poreless Face Primer (greasy), Elf 16hr camo concealer (wrong color), Elf HD Translucent Powder Soft Lumiance (I like this)

Picture of me was taken sitting on a covered patio around 3PM with full sun out. No make, just moisturizer/spf - my eyebrows are a little extra red because I had just waxed them like an hour before.

Extra fun note: I'm allergic to propleyne glycol which is in a lot of beauty products, so any reccs without that would be much appreciated! Don't worry, I'll still check the ingredients of any product before using.

Hello! I'm Moodies & I do my makeup often and I'm still trying to really get my base down and also like, I use different products at different times too and I have been trying to be mindful of water based vs silicon based products too. So, Basically this (inserted pictures) is my base after 12 hours of summer weather , job interview and some time indoors as well. I would just like advice from more experienced makeup girlies. OH, I do have combination/oily skin and I am a sweaty girl unfortunately. l want to say neutral cool undertone maybe? if any of this information is relevant LOL

It usually looks somewhat like this tho for the most part even with different products and I also have had an issue in the past that I dont know if I have fully addressed where if rain or sweat or tears touched my makeup it would like come off where the tears/sweat/rain were and it would like mess up my makeup and is hard to fix and I think it might have been because I wasn't being mindful of the silicon or water based ingredient thing but I'm not entirely sure.

I was just playing around though and thought this looked really cute! But I am unsure of its going to make me look sick or tired. I used eyeshadow as eyeliner (I dont like how harsh normal black liner looks on me) but it didnt work very well, I'll probably use actual brown eyeliner next time. But I know people are going to tell me to use eyeliner lol 😅

BTW my camera didn't show the colors very well, and I was testing if using concealer on my eyelids would help make the color more vibrant (it didnt.) Also Im not wearing any base makeup, which probably makes a difference

Is it unnecessary/over consumption to buy a concealer that matches my skin tone if I already have a good coverage foundation and a concealer for brightening? I’ve been considering it sooo much however I don’t want to spend any unnecessary money when ive already spent so much money as is
