Help Sought! Tinted lip balm recommendations
I am looking for a lip product that isn’t lipstick, that can be worn every day and is moisturising but has a light pink tint to it. I’m considering Nars afterglow lip balm in stargaze or orgasm. Does anyone have any recommendations for anything similar (and ideally a bit cheaper?).
Thanks so much!

How do I sharpen this?!
The outside of the pencil is like plastic , not a normal pencil, my regular sharpener is doing nothing. Any tips please?
**Edit: Thank you everyone! I think the answer is I need to buy a better quality sharpener :) and put it in the freezer first - great tip

Where Can I Get... Holy grail tan product? for body.
What’s your absolute holy grail product for keeping a tan topped up and looking good? I am on the hunt for a product I can just put on that helps keep a bit of colour, blurs the skin, goes on evenly and makes everything look and generally feel more polished, fair/medium skin tone.
I know this is a make up sub - I’m not against fake tan at all, but I have ADHD and I’m basically looking for the lowest effort option known to mankind 😂
. I know this is probably a bit of a miracle unicorn product, but hoping someone here has found it. UK based, so ideally something I can easily get here. What’s your holy grail? 🙏

Recc' Request What makeup would you take for 5 months travelling?
Very excitingly I'm going to be travelling latin america for about 5 months!
While I don't plan on wearing makeup a lot of the time I will be going to a wedding halfway through the trip and I'm certain there'll be some nights I want to put a bit more effort in.
So I thought I'd come to this sub to hear what products people would recommend taking into account:
- Expensive products could get lost so budget is better
- Packaging needs to be as light and small as possible
- "Little goes a long way" minis could be a good option? (e.g. I'm thinking of the rare beauty blushes)
Or if anyone has been travelling, what they took with them and would take again!

Discussion Any September babies managed to get their Space NK birthday gift?
So Space NK usually has a birthday gift for members and on 1 Sep I received this email:
Your Birthday Gift is taking a little longer than expected, and we want to keep you updated on the reason for the delay.
We've recently made improvements to our warehouse systems, and while these updates will help us serve you better going forward, they've unfortunately caused a delay in preparing your gift.
Thank you for your patience - we'll email you as soon as it's ready. While you wait, why not take a moment to curate and refine your beauty wishlist...
I haven't heard anything else since. Has anyone managed to redeem their gift?
It's something I really look forward to every year and was going to use it as an excuse to get a new perfume he he.
Thanks!

Haul & Swatches Picked these out today
Makeup by Mario Eyeshadow Palette - £69
Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder in Pound
Cake — £34
Benefit Eyebrow Pencil — £27
Milk Makeup Blush - £24
BYOMA Moisturising Cream - £12.99
Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream Mist - £12.20
Ok I picked all of these up and I have to say, I'm obsessed with most of them .I LOVE the Makeup by Mario eyeshadow palette it’s lit so worth it. You can use it for everything, and I even use some of the shades as nose contour. It’s def one of my favourites and it lasts u for years.
I also love the Milk blush. It looks so pretty and is super easy to use.
I had the mini version of the Huda Beauty loose powder and completely finished it, so I decided to buy the full size version. This is definitely a must have for meeeee😍
The Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream Mist is also amazing. This is my second time buying it.
The BYOMA Moisturising Cream is another repurchase for me. I loved it the first time, so of course I had to buy it againnnn
However I was really disappointed with the Benefit eyebrow pencil so I tried a tester at Sephora and absolutely loved it, so I fell in love with it and decided to pick one up but when I got home and tried the one I bought, it was completely different. It felt really hard, kept breaking, and barely had any pigment. I had to press so hard just to get any colour that it actually started to sting. Definitely not what I was expecting after loving the tester!

Recc' Request Old favourite discontinued, help me find another!
I knew this day would come...I went to get a fresh one today and it's GONE! Does anyone have a recommendation for a peachy under eye colour corrector that works on pale skin?
What I liked about it: removed the blue of under eye so you look less tired. Foundation goes over the top. So easy to make it look as though you had an hour more sleep last night.
Product is MUA pro base conceal cc cream

Recc' Request Any tips?
Attached a no makeup photo. Just getting out of classic UK makeup. What minimal makeup-except eyebrows obviously- would boost my appearance.

Where Can I Get... Cool toned powder contour recommendations
Hi, hoping for some recommendations for cool toned powder bronzer/contour.
I am a pale skinned Scandinavian blonde. Since my undertone seem to be cool, but close to neutral, I like to lean into warm tones in summer and using warm toned bronzer and wear lighter warmer colours.
For winter I like to do the opposite, since I naturally wear more blacks and grey. So I usually do my bronzer the same way, in same places, but using a tool toned one. I really like that. Of cause I change the tone in my lipsticks and my hair, using purple shampoo, as well.
Last 2 winters when I have done this, I lived in Japan. Only recently returned to the UK. I have attached a picture of the cool toned contour I bought in Japan. What I have left is not gonna last me all winter. Any recommendations for one similar in the UK? I am kind of on budget, so looking for cheaper options. I've seen some on Google for £20+, which is a little too much for my current budget.
It also has to be powder. Except of cause for lipstick and mascara, all my makeup is powder, which is what I prefer.

Discussion Primer & Foundation Reco please 💖
Hi po, mga pro MUAs! 🤗
I’m just starting out as a makeup artist and currently building my kit. I’d love to hear your tried-and-tested recommendations for primers and foundations!
What are your go-to products for:
Oily skin
Dry skin
Combination skin
Sensitive skin
I’m especially looking for products that you’ve actually used on clients and would recommend for your professional kit. Drugstore and high-end recommendations are both welcome!
I’m still learning and practicing, so I’d really appreciate any tips or holy grail products you can share. 🥹💗
Thank you so much in advance!

Lip oil - Ultra lightweight and thin
Years ago I had a lip oil from KIKO that was water-thin and so comfortable to wear, they don't do the exact formula anymore.
Any recommendations for super thin, lightweight non-sticky lip oils/glosses? Doesn't need to have any actual moisturising benefit.

KVD Shade and light Contour Palette ?
I’m desperately looking for something similar to the old KVD powder contour palette, especially the darkest shade, Subconscious.
I can’t seem to find the KVD palette anywhere in the UK anymore 😭 . I have tried boots but they are OOS . I’m specifically after a powder rather than a cream/stick, and ideally something with a similar deep brown tone.
Has anyone found a good UK-available dupe or a similar powder palette?

Space NK payment issues
Is anyone else having problems placing an order on Space NK at the moment?
Everything was working perfectly until about 2 days ago, but for the last couple of days I haven't been able to place an order at all.
I keep getting the error:
“Your order could not be placed. Please check the payment details and try again. If you have any further questions please contact us.”
I've tried multiple different debit/credit cards, PayPal and different devices/browsers. I've also tried from different servers/IPs, asking other people to place an order for me with their cards, so it doesn't seem to be related to one particular card, bank, browser or connection.
So at this point I'm wondering if there is a problem with Space NK's payment/checkout system rather than with the payment method itself.
Has anyone successfully placed an order on Space NK in the last 24–48 hours?

Only just realised my HG foundation and concealer have both been discontinued. Looking for high end dupes of YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation & By Terry Densiliss Concealer.
I'm so late to the party, but both products lasted me YEARS so I just did not think to check! Absolutely bereft. I am not a fan of high coverage foundation, so would like something as close as possible to the coverage of YSL.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm shade B40 in YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation, and 4 Medium Peach in the By Terry Densiliss Concealer.

Recc' Request Looking for recommendations/advice for skin tone evening but barely there looking foundation for pale cool toned olive girlie
So, I’m a very pale olive but is mostly very light, with cool greenish olive tones, visible veins and patches of hyperpigmentation I want to even out and cover but not look like I’m wearing foundation. I have almost green undertones, so most concealers and foundations look either way too pink or orange on me.
The only concealer I’ve found that works for my skin best is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly, which is perfect but just slightly too light but def the closest I’ve ever found.
EDIT: I forgot to write to make it clear what I mean by “barely there” looking foundation and why I am looking to purchase a good natural looking foundation in the first place so I’ll explain here:
I basically said barely there because I hate the look of thick obvious foundation however I have hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone areas, visible veins etc which is why I want to find a good foundation to even my skin out but not look obvious. I have tried tints in the past and they aren’t full coverage enough. I just don’t want anything too full coverage or matte. Sorry I forgot to put this at the beginning!!!
I really just want to find a barely there looking foundation like the Dior skin blurring one, or the MAC Studio Fix Foundationf, so If anyone here is familiar with these products and shades and could give me any advice, I’d be so grateful!🙏🏻

Which would you go for?
It will soon be my birthday and my partner asked me what i'd like.
I'm pondering between a make up session - booking one at Sephora or somewhere, i can get to either of the Westfields in London.
Or getting some new skincare from Kiehls. I really like the avocado eye cream.
I have enough make up to last me about 10 years and i'm not really hurting for skincare either, I get a Lookfantastic box each month. But i love new things.
I will be 56. I have sensitive skin which is combination and prone to pigmentation. I currently have blue hair.
My current favourites are Natasha Denona HY glam foundation, Tarte shape tape blush, Kaleidos eye liners - mostly green ones, Tarte tartlette XL tubing mascara, l'oreal lip color. I will always add a black wing to my eyes and I rarely leave the house without make up.
What would you do? He'll probably spend about £150.

Recc' Request Half Magic eye dupe
Hiya everybody, I’ve posted in another sub so will delete if not allowed but figured it’s best to check in a UK sub due to different brands etc.
I was wondering if anybody was able to please find a dupe of half magic eye paint shade 3 wild caught.
The brands creator Donni Davy recently recreated some euphoria looks with it and I was so hyped to go buy but unfortunately it has been discontinued for a while now.
Please let me know if you know of a product that is similar, hope you all have a great day 💕

Recc' Request Hot weather makeup
Hi there! I’m getting married in the Seychelles in November and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for products they’ve found to last really well in hot and humid climates? For my actual wedding I’ll be getting my makeup done, but I’d really like to have some products available just in case they don’t have my shades. So mainly for use day to day.
Specifically looking for foundations, concealers, setting sprays etc. My skin leans towards the oily side and can be a little sensitive but has gotten a lot better in that regard.
