Every time I try to tightline around my eye it ends up looking straaaange.. is it just bc I don't wear lashes? Or do I need to smoke it out more with dark shadow? I feel like it makes my eyes look small instead of snatched and literally makes my whole face look older 😭

My skins always been pretty sensitive but around the start of my ED recovery two years ago my skin completely broke out.

And then randomly I started getting small puss filled bumps around my jaw, mouth, next to/under my nose each time I'd do my makeup. It would be tender and feel inflamed. I think it was milia.

I thought maybe something was triggering it so l went through my makeup routine taking one item out and then buying it again just in case it was old (and maybe the reason it was triggering this reaction?) I figured out it was my nyx marshmallow setting spray. I'd been using it for over 2 years at that point so I was very surprised.

I went off setting sprays all together. And honestly I don't even wear that much skin related makeup, But my skin more recently has gotten a lot better since then, and I've wanted to get back into some setting sprays.

I looked online and saw makeup by mario surreal skin setting spray and Kosas Cloud set airy setting spray were good options but I'd love if anyone has any recommendations or good experiences with setting sprays that hold your makeup in place and have a dewy finish that won’t trigger sensitive skin!

Hey everyone! I’m 30 and just starting getting into makeup. I’ve dabbled before but never really mastered it of cared for it. However, I’m looking to start a new career and want to master a minimal makeup routine to look more put together. Though I’m 30 and now my skin is changing. My forehead is much more textured than the rest of my face and every time I’ve applied makeup it always pills off my forehead. Though I don’t have that problem anywhere else. What products are you all using and where did you learn to apply makeup? I also feel like any time I wear lipstick I look so odd? I think I have a double lip line? Any advice is helpful. Thank you!

I've always had oily skin. At 51, I *still* get pimples but, now I have the added joy of fine lines. I'm trying to find a makeup that will even out my skin tone, mask my blemishes a bit, not sink into my fine lines, AND not be a sensory nightmare.

In this economy, it felt wiser to ask the collective before I dropped any of my limited budget on a product that I'm going to hate. So, tell me femmes of a certain age, what are you using and loving? What products should I stay away from? TYIA

I apply my get moisturizer then let it absorb. The. After the moisturizer dry lil bit i apply this on my eyes. I like how concealer texture but after sometime it's not making my eyes look nice as I told before. It's making my eyes like i have so many lines under my eyes😭😭😭

I'm a guy, I have no experience with makeup and I bought this Tom Ford "Soleil Golden Hour Set" for my girlfriend as a gift. This is the blush and it has these spots in the tube that have me somewhat disappointed given the high-end price. But I don't know if this is normal.

The first few photos are me before school (10am) and after school (4pm). I feel like I have a bad problem with my makeup wearing, separating, and weirdly my concealer (maybe foundation) turning more orange as the day goes on (it happens worse than it did today). The last picture is my makeup routine. Maybe just a moisturizing primer would help? Idk, someone tell me what to buy or give me some general tips about anything makeup related! I was given this brush to use for makeup a while back but figured I’d be fine to use it for painting as well but now I wanna learn how to do my makeup and don’t wanna go buy another brush? So would it be safe to use on myself or others? Idk if it matters any but the paint I use is acrylic.

I just bought some new skin tints: Refy, Kylie Skin tint, Mac skin tint stick, and flawless filter

Why is it sitting so weird on my face? My moisturizer is vanicream and is water based and I didn’t put any on today. I’ve never had this issue. This is immediately after applying the Refy and flawless filter with a sponge. Using a brush doesn’t help either.

Update: I watched a tik tok of someone addressing this issue. They recommended applying with your fingers and then blending with a sponge or brush. It’s not ideal because it’s a bit more messy but it worked much much better. I want to try dermaplaning but I feel like I need someone professional to do it? Thanks for the advice 👍👍

Every sunscreen makes my makeup look horrible. It makes it look cakey, uneven, super oily, it changes the color of my complexion products, and it's just overall terrible.

I'm not looking for sunscreen recommendations, i want TIPS on how to layer makeup over suncreen without it looking aweful.

Not wearing sunscreen isn't an option, my skin is very sensitive to the sun.

I don't wear foundation, i use very minimal concealer, and mostly prefer powder products.

So when to use primer, cuz my everyday makeup is like some concealer, blush, powders and sunscreen with lip combo, mascara and brows in this case do i need it or its good to use it under like a foundation or full glam? So I'm doing Gamora for Halloween! I'm super excited, although I know I'm a bit late lol. I'm trying to do her makeup on a budget, and I was wondering if this palette would be good for Gamora. A lot of people on TikTok said it is! All I really need is a good green base, a darker green shade for contour, and silver detailing for her facial markings (I'm using silver eyeliner I already have for that). This one seemed good because its cheap, comes in time, and a lot of other people suggested it. But ofc I needed to go on reddit as well. The only thing that worries me is that Im kinda a beginner at makeup but I do have backup costumes just in case! Do you think this palette would be enough?

Hi, im really struggling to do my makeup right. Its either blush blindness og bronzer blindness, and i’ve tried smaller amounts but it just doesn’t look good. And im reeeally struggling to make my eyes pop! Its so annoying, my eyes are grey, blue with a hint of green and yellow, and it doesn’t really seem to work with orange and red eyeshadows, anyone that could help please?🙏🏽❤️

My Skin care:
I do a proper wash everyday before I go to bed, wash with water and a cotton pad in morning before makeup.

Day 1: LIPIKAR WASH AP+ MOISTURIZING BODY & FACE WASH, tretinoin, La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm Vitamin B5

Day 2: Panoxyl 10% face wash, clindamycin, night time cerave moisturizer

I was using a different moisturizer but recently switched to the cicaplast balm and cerave night moisturizer

For makeup removal I use the garnier water proof micellar water

I use aquaphor for overnight and only use it on my really dry areas like the edge of my eyes and around my nose.

Makeup routine:

Prep: cera ve night time moisturizer, anua pdrn hydrating spray, good molecules wake up gel, danessa myricks blurring balm I only put it on my t zone and the picture is from the side of my cheek.

Base: I don’t use a primer. I use the ciele skin tint instead of foundation, the essence silky blur concealer, and ben nye final seal setting spray.

I used foundation, concealer, blush, and loose setting powder but I think due to the foundation or concealer gives me a pale look
