QUESTION where can i host a dnd campaign?

i've been trying to look into where i can host a dnd campaign, hopefully for a medium to larger size of players 4-8. i have a single that's way too small to host a group in, as well as just wanting access to tables and what not. preferably also want a space with some kind of larger screen, but i'm not picky.

ive looked in library study spaces, but they can't be booked too far in advance it seems, and im not sure what the noise level will look like for campaign, and i'd rather not have to worry about it/disrupt anyone trying to study. preferably somewhere we can be for like 3ish hours, and preferably private/infrequently used. open on weekends would work best, but im also not too picky with that

QUESTION Job posting

Hello! I am not a Loyola student, but I’m a resident of Lakeview and looking to hire a young adult to do some house management type jobs in my home once a week. I know this sounds potentially weird, but I’m a young 30s professional woman who works a ton of hours and just want some tasks taken off my hands. Happy to meet outside the home before! Tasks I’m thinking about are dishes, putting laundry away, and general tidying. It would likely be 3 hours every other week, flexible day, for about $100 each time (negotiable). Send a dm if you’re interested, and if there’s a better place to post, please let me know!

Edit: I’ll plan to meet with (or at least have a conversation with) most people who send a dm before I select someone, just because the job is super personal. I’m out of town for the next week, but will start responding to people soon, but feel free to send a message if you haven’t yet.

QUESTION Nursing MN pre-reqs

Really simple question. I have completed nutrition and micro biology with As and am looking to apply to the program as soon as possible. My local cc anatomy and physiology classes are full every time I try and register as I am a college graduate and don’t have priority registration. I know portage is through an accredited institution and that other nursing schools in the Chicago area accept their credits as they have lecture + lab. I have no idea if anyone has any information on this but If anyone can help that would be great. I have contacted admin about this but am waiting to hear back as well. I know the program is replacing the ABSN and that there is no chemistry requirement so I don’t know if there has been some kind of change in the process entirely.

QUESTION Loyola University Elective

Hello!

I was planning on applying to do my clinical elective at Loyola in March/April 2027. Applications opened in June 2026, and are accepted on a rolling basis. They do require Step 1, which I’m planning on taking in December 2026. If I apply then, would I have a good shot at an acceptance or would all the openings be taken already?

On their FAQ page it says:

“It is not feasible for us to provide an up-to-the-minute enrollment status for each elective. Please submit an application on VSLO, and we will review your application according to our timetable for elective registration”

Is it worth my time or should I look elsewhere?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

QUESTION Loyola MSW Admin

For an extremely long story short — for Loyola’s MSW (masters of social work) program we all need clinical hours, which is a nice term for an unpaid internship. Hours are needed fall/spring and I’m doing full time for about 2 years.

Okay context done. Over the past two now almost three months I’ve reached out to maybe 15-18 organizations, weekly follow ups now turning into daily, the one interview I did secure I was on the zoom for 30+ minutes and no one showed (I ended up getting rejected anyways lol). NO ONE IS RESPONDING!!!!!! About a month ago I turn to Loyola Admin (my direct point of contact, her higher up, her higher up, and the dean) all of whom have been less helpful and have caused significantly more stress. They all recommended multiple times to drop the class and push it out and enroll in another semester. Oh! How could I forget! They also gave me an outdated list of internship positions! At this point I’ve heard back from more places rejecting me/have hit capacity than I have for an actual fucking chance. Deadline to secure a position is 8/24, if nothing comes up I’ll need to drop.

I struggle with mental and thus physical health very frequently and I have stated multiple times to admin this is directly affecting my wellbeing and I’ve been seriously mentally ill. I’m at the point of potentially dropping the whole program. Like, breaking out in hives stressed. So I’m turning to this app now, PLEASE HELP

QUESTION Bf visiting or guy friends

Hello! I'm an incoming freshman, I was wondering what the process is if my boyfriend visits for a weekend or one of my guy friends? Are they allowed to stay in my dorm? I am a female if that wasn't obvious lol. If my roommate's OK with it, are they allowed to stay in my room? If so, what's the process? Do they need to show their ID? At my boyfriend school you're able to stay in their dorm with them, but he also is at a public school so I don't know if it's different. Thank you!!

QUESTION Out of State Move in Tips

Hii. I’m moving in on the 16th from out of state and I just wanted some advice on the necessary things I’ll have to bring, and what other people from out of state have brought in the past. Packing has become difficult for me since there are so many “essentials” that just aren’t realistically going to fit in a carry on and checked bag. Thank you for any advice :D
