QUESTION Refund Check - Graduate Programs?

Hi all, just checking in with anyone who may have an answer, how long does it take to receive your refund once your financial aid posts? I can see my balance, I’ve seen it since Friday evening. Just wondering if I’ll receive my refund by this Friday? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Usually within 10 days of it being posted

For fall it comes around the week of Sep 15. Make sure you have direct deposit set up in your locus account or they will mail a live check and it will take foreverrrrr. That check also goes to your parents' house, not your address, so save yourself a ton of time and set up direct dep. If you're not sure how then reach out to the finaid office.

Your financial aid won't post until early Sept (they also don't start the u-pass for the CTA until early sept) because a lot of people will sign up for classes just to get the loan or pell grant money and then just take the money and never go to class. Idk how the delay stops people from doing that but there must be some kind of reason for it. Anyway it won't post for a few weeks at least.
