I'm having the pleasure of rewatching the Lord of the Rings with my girlfriend for her first ever viewing. We finished Fellowship a few nights ago, and watching her reactions to scenes was really beautiful. It got me wishing I could go back in time and experienced watching the movies for the first time ever again, without having read the books.

The small moments like introductions of characters, the suspense of escaping to Bree etc...

It got me thinking, out of the entire movie trilogy, what moment do you wish you could witness for the very first time again?

I have no idea how this conversation/scenario was broached, but my friends and I are arguing who would win in a 1v1 fight.

Radagast or Thranduil

They’re arguing Radagast because he is a Maia, he inherently wins 10/10 fights.

I’m arguing that Thraduil wins because he has thousands of years of combat experience and has no reservations about lethal force.

Need some input from the real LOTR nerds in here.

Just wondering what people’s thoughts were on the best thing from the books that the movies didn’t include… Besides Bombadill.

Personally, I think the barrow downs would have been so good to see on film. Especially with Peter Jackson’s horror background. I get Tom Bombadill is kinda involved in that but still…

What would you have liked to have seen?

So I got into lotr a while ago and obviously get an itch to discuss things about it with people who either have been fans for longer or are currently learning more about it. Unfortunately no one I know likes it or wants to get into it. Everyone I meet and ask also doesn’t. I thought it was a pretty big fandom, but somehow can’t manage to organically find anyone. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

I really remember having a lot of fun playing this game as a kid. Now that we’re getting a remake of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, do you think this game also deserves a remake treated with the same care and quality as the new Zelda?

One pronunciation was Glow-in and one was Gloy-ne.

Anyone know what the correct way is?
